Was seriously craving a perm and found this place!…read more I had walked by it one day when I was checking out H-mart and the interior was so sleek and clean. I went home and did my research and found out they do perms! I saw some reviews and reached out to see if they would be able to take me in. They responded promptly and I was able to come in right away. I want to preface by saying I had a conversation via text about what I wanted and the health of my hair. There were inspiration photos as well as photos of my hair to get a gist of things. But overall, it was discussed that it was possible to get the outcome I wanted. That being said, I went to the salon and got my perm. It was wavy but not as curly as I wanted. I left a little disappointed. But, paid and went about my day. The next morning, I woke up and my once wavy perm was just flat. I reached out to the salon to see if we could re-perm my hair because I wasn't quite content with the outcome. They responded quickly and were able to book me that day. When I got to the salon, I was apologetic for having to redo my perm, but they were so understanding and kind about the entire situation. They re-permed my hair and the outcome was everything I wanted! I was so happy. The curls came out beautiful and my hair is still very healthy despite being permed twice within two days. They responded and asked if I could send them photos of my hair and its current state, so I sent them one. By 12:00 PM, they asked if I could come in between 1:00-1:30 PM that day, and I said yes! I drove from Tampa, FL to Orlando, FL and was met by Grace at the front desk and Andrew who did my FIRST curly/wave perm. I have virgin hair, by the way He sat me down, looked at my hair, talked about what I wanted, washed my hair, and gave me a much needed cut. I didn't have a hair cut for over year since that day I went in, so it was appreciated with my hair being down to my tail bone He gave me exactly what I wanted: cut off 3-4 inches, gave my layers and volume while taking off dead ends When he started the digital perm process, he went for the cold method and was particular about his technique to ensure that I got the curls/waves that I wanted with twisting the hair while rolling it closer to my scalp At the end of it, the total was about $360, but I ended up spending upward of $440 because of the tip that Andrew DESERVED While I was getting my hair done, Shauna was hospitable and took great care of me to ensure that I felt comfortable. She brought me earl grey tea and was so kind every time she asked if I was okay and needed anything I'll gladly come back to get my perm done again in the future

Unfortunately, the person who cut my hair did not do it properly and the situation made me feel worse when he basically chose to tell me I'm wrong. To start things off, I'll say the place is very nice and reminds me of a coffee shop. People are very nice and will even give you complimentary refreshments. Parking can be a little difficult since it's in Ivanhoe area. For my haircut, all I needed was a trim. The agreement was just maintaining most of the length and let the hair have some flow and texture towards the top. The guy even ran his hands through my hair to follow the direction it grows in. Next thing I know, he's combining my hair in the opposite direction and cutting. At first I thought it was some technique I'd never seen before. But turns out he fully intended for my hair to go in that direction. At the end, I asked why he cut my hair that way if originally he was even moving my hair in the proper direction. His response was that my hair wants to grow in the direction he cut. I chose not to argue since it had already been done and at that point I didn't trust him to fix it anyways. However, I do know he's wrong. My hair naturally falls in the direction seen in my picture as it dries. Now it has a weird shape on the sides with no life at the top. I'm sure these people are well trained, however I had a bad experience and will not be returning.
