We played the Storykeeper and it was amazing, very immersive incredible sets, good puzzles! I really enjoyed the costumes and the hint system. There was a great variety of puzzles including physical puzzles, logic puzzles, and teamwork puzzles. The game masters were awesome and there acting within the rooms was incredible and really set the tone and put this room above other rooms! Highly recommend!

Wow! What an amazing escape room. The puzzles were very clever. The set decoration was very professional. Literally have no complaints. One of the best escape rooms if not the best escape room I've ever done.

Alley way and stairs to walk down to get to the entrance

Years ago I saw a list of the top escape rooms in the world. Locurio was on it and since then I've had this place bookmarked waiting for the day that I can visit with a group of people. I finally had that chance. Locurio is located in the Fremont neighborhood near the Fremont Bridge. There is no private lot but there is street parking around the area. You can also get here by bus as there are a couple bus lines that take you very close. They joke that the first puzzle is finding the actual place because map directions will take you to the part of the building facing the street. However, to get to the actual entrance follow the signs to an alleyway between Aesop and Mod Pizza and go down the stairs. It'll then be on your right. The escape room that is ranked as one of the world's best is The Storykeeper. We didn't do that one this time; instead we did The Vanishing Act but I knew that it would be great as well. We had 70 minutes to complete the puzzle and its difficulty level is considered hard. They refer to the rooms as puzzle rooms instead of escape rooms because you're not trying to "escape" but instead you're trying to solve the puzzle to the story. I won't spoil the details but with a group of 7 people we were able to complete the puzzle with 10.5 minutes remaining and the entire experience was amazing! The puzzles were well thought out and complex and the storyline was compelling. The price per person for The Vanishing Act is $40 and for The Storykeeper is $45. I would love to come back and try The Storykeeper next time. The prices are well worth the quality of the "escape" room and the puzzles. If you have a group of 6-8 people this is a fun activity to test out your puzzle solving skills!

We had the most amazing time completing the "Storykeeper" room! The actors and staff were amazing, the storyline was great and the puzzles were definitely challenging and fun! I've now done both escape rooms at Locurio and hope they add more because I would love to go again! They also made us feel quite safe by requiring all staff and participants wear masks. They also required proof of COVID vaccine or proof of negative COVID test before starting. There was also hand sanitizers readily available for use. Highly recommend Locurio!

It was our first escape room. The storyline was great, they let you struggle but then offered tips at the right time. Fun group memories!

Where do customers park, do you have a dedicated lot?

Hello! Looking for things for my Chinese speaking parents to do when they visit. My dad loves puzzles but can't read English. Are there many clues written in English?

They're basically all in English, but the story keeper room has more elements in it that don't require reading than the other room. I can't give much away, but if you are able to translate for them, you'd be better off.

There were a lot of moving parts and lots to do in to this room so nobody was really standing around. We thought the room had a great balance between technology and analog. Puzzles were logical and hard in ways, but solvable and doable! We all had a really great time and got out with 16 minutes to spare! Communication/organization is key for this room Mason our game master was great and helpful! There was also a giant lounge to wait in for our game to start with tons of couches, games, puzzles, and water. A great escape room at a great venue! Big props to the Puzzle Break team for allowing us to keep our time as they encountered a same day issue where one of their rooms was damaged. They handled it very professionally and we were still able to keep our time slot so we're thankful to the team. We had 8 people and surprisingly, most of us had something to do the whole time. Everyone had a part to play but some parts we partnered up to accomplish faster. Easily a room you can do with 4-8 people with moderate difficulty, with the more people making it easier. Puzzles were fun, a few challenging ones, but overall pretty linear progression without weird redundancies that can happen with some other escape rooms. This room is great to bring friends who are new to escape rooms as there are still a few surprises (not in the scary sense). Thanks to Puzzle Break for a great time! I didn't book the room so I didn't get the name of the person my friend spoke to but during our experience Neo did the introduction prior to the game and guided us on time when we asked (we only asked for one hint so there was minimal interaction on that part). If this review encouraged you to try it, I hope you enjoy it!

Canned but decently priced! When you arrive you can check in for the escape rooms in The Basement, arrive about 10-15 mins early so you can make sure your waiver is signed and you get the overview and rules of the room. We had a group of 5 and did the Who Dennis room! Being my second room I do not have a ton of experience but for the price compared to the last room was no comparison. Way better! The size, layering of puzzles, and help when we needed it was great. We had a fun time and at no point with 5 people did we run out of anything to have to do. We didn't solve the puzzle but was extremely close! We were even offered 20% off if we wanted to come back and try to solve again. I'm hooked and need to go back and try and solve it again. They also had 3 other rooms available, and if they were any sort of the quality of the Who dunnit I am sure they will be great!

These were the last of the current Escape Artist and Sure Lock escape rooms we had yet to play and they were 2 of our favorites! 13th Floor featured the full motion effects, Escape Artist uses in some of their rooms. The room was smaller than some but the story elements were incredibly cohesive and they packed a ton of really creative puzzles into the space. Neon Shadows might be my favorite escape room to date. It was really hard but so much fun. Lots of the puzzle mechanics in the room felt new or novel and it was all really well integrated with the central theme. A wealth of geek and 80s references were a delightful bonus! Big thank you to our game masters this weekend, Gavin and Will. You both made our experience so fun and engaging. We'll definitely be back whenever there are more rooms to play.

The ambiance and atmosphere was top notch. The variety of and creativity of the puzzles and clues in this room were among the best. My friend and I, both escape room virgins, escaped 1 minute late! (ugh) Dive to Atlantis was my second favorite out of the rooms at this location. My cousins from out of town joined us. They had never done an escape room and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were able to solve all the clues and get out in time. There was one particularly difficult puzzle but nonetheless we made it with time to spare. The same friend I did Spell Struck with and I did 13th floor and finished with time to spare. I wasn't as impressed with this room compared to the others and we were stuck in the "elevator" on a single clue for a long time near the beginning. Luckily we sped through the second half like a breeze, which was very padlock heavy (I don't like that), and we may have used hints we didn't need because we thought we were running low on time. We weren't. My roommate and I did Lost in Space and we really like this room. I would say the theming and atmosphere felt a little cheesy for a Space Station, but the clues and riddles were stimulating and we had a very fun time overall. Escape Artist deserves a 5 star rating, if for just Spell Struck alone, but they have 4 unique experiences. Two of the rooms have actual motion which is awesome. None are like any of the others so there is great variety. If you are looking for a great escape room, keep them on your list!

There are a few rooms to go through and that was fun. They have a lot of lockers (with free locks!) Foe heavy coats/bags, etc. Some of the puzzles are different takes than what you might expect. You have "Alex" with you at all times. Sometimes it is helpful. The bad: The rooms are time gated because the group in the room in front of you has to finish or fail before you can move on. That means sometimes you wait or they give you the equivalent of busywork until the next room opens. It would be better to have optional video filler at that time. They have a lot of video sequences that don't give clues and are too long. If I am trying to figure out a puzzle next to a screen, I don't want to be randomized by a video unrelated to the activity. The rooms are pretty noisy. If you have a listening puzzle it is hard to hear. Parking nearby is spendy. The worst IMO? YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR PICS AT THE END. That really irritated me. It's not a cheap ticket and having an electronic copy of a photo should be part of the package IMO. You can also choose to tip your "Alex" at the end. They aren't the most complicated puzzles especially if you are an experienced puzzler. All of them involve tech which was interesting... The only physical locks were ones on the lockers outside. I think it may be the only escape room we've done where there wasn't a single lock to solve! We solved all the puzzles and made it out.
