Pirate Escape Review!…read more Just turning into the parking lot gives the vibe of a first generation room escape; an almost too residential feel. By first generation I mean this room escape uses more locks and simple creations rather than investing in the crazy technology that these newer rooms use. One thing that set this room escape apart from the rest is that it felt like it was fewer puzzles and harder puzzles. My team of 6 worked more together than we usually do. we weren't thrown a ton of relics and random clues for no reason. At other rooms I can make a pile of all the clues and boxes and stuff we have to find. But here the room is almost empty. It really does challenge you to think outside the box. Overall the experience was really fun. We beat it with 8 minutes to spare and we had to use a few clues which in hindsight we didn't need.

The place is not that hard to find if you know what you are looking for. They have their (small) logo posted out in the street so we found it pretty fast. The escape rooms was very fun. It's not as high tech or tech savvy as other escape room but I actually prefer it because you don't have to worry about things being glitchy or not working properly. I also like that there's no fixed amount of hints you will get, the people wants you to enjoy your time so of they see that you are definitely struggling, they will give you hints. The puzzles varies in difficulty, as we solved some faster than others. But overall, it was very entertaining and even though we didn't find the treasure, we had a lot of fun trying. The only thing I thought could improve on is that some of the locks we had to open, didn't really connect to each other, so when you solve one riddle, the clue from that can lead to any of the other riddle, and you will have to try all of them to see which will fit, you won't know which puzzle will open which locks. But that's just me :)

This was my first escape room ever!…read more It was so fun :) I was impressed by the creativity and the intricacy of the puzzles. The rooms are also beautiful and well crafted. I won't give too many spoilers - we did the Storyteller and it had three rooms to "solve". The staff are wonderful too. The price is $45 per person. Located in Fremont.

The unique thing about this escape room is they included an actor to immerse us in the story and to occasionally give us hints; a more immersive experience then having us push a button and waiting for the staff on the intercom to give us a clue. - Parking here is tricky. The lower-level parking structure right next door has many conflicting signs. Even the staff at Locurio weren't sure how to help us ensure free safe parking. Have to buy something at the nearby supermarket to get validated parking? Not sure. - Wish they allowed each of us a prop to hold for the photo at the end. Good thing I brought my own.

They were super nice! They told us they had more space for more rooms, so we are very excited to come back. Currently, they have 3 rooms, a party room, and perhaps 2 more rooms down the road. At the time of this review, it was $35/person, which seems fair for the experience and the work, which I'm sure went into creating the space. Google Maps directs you to the Safeway parking lot. However, they were more behind the gas station on Woods Creek Road.

We knew we had to try We decided to do the hardest room at Puzzle Break - Escape from Seattle, The World's Fair Affair We had a group of 6 with varying levels of experience with escape rooms (it was one of our friends first room while two of us have done more than 50 rooms) and the room felt perfect for the size! There were a lot of moving parts and lots to do in to this room so nobody was really standing around. We thought the room had a great balance between technology and analog. Puzzles were logical and hard in ways, but solvable and doable! We all had a really great time and got out with 16 minutes to spare! Communication/organization is key for this room Mason our game master was great and helpful! There was also a giant lounge to wait in for our game to start with tons of couches, games, puzzles, and water. A great escape room at a great venue! Would absolutely come again and would love to do Puppeteer's Workshop in the future

Big props to the Puzzle Break team for allowing us to keep our time as they encountered a same day issue where one of their rooms was damaged. They handled it very professionally and we were still able to keep our time slot so we're thankful to the team. We had 8 people and surprisingly, most of us had something to do the whole time. Everyone had a part to play but some parts we partnered up to accomplish faster. Easily a room you can do with 4-8 people with moderate difficulty, with the more people making it easier. Puzzles were fun, a few challenging ones, but overall pretty linear progression without weird redundancies that can happen with some other escape rooms. This room is great to bring friends who are new to escape rooms as there are still a few surprises (not in the scary sense). Thanks to Puzzle Break for a great time! I didn't book the room so I didn't get the name of the person my friend spoke to but during our experience Neo did the introduction prior to the game and guided us on time when we asked (we only asked for one hint so there was minimal interaction on that part). They set up in the park behind our house, which was the perfect outdoor setting for the kids to run around, and it was much more affordable than many laser tag venues these days - even with us adding on extra obstacles for the kids. My son loved it and the kids had a blast! My only feedback is that the instruction portion felt a little long for a group of 8-year-old boys - it took about 20 minutes to get through, and attention spans were definitely fading by the end - wish there way to shorten so doesn't run into their game time and they still get important details. One other note, the laser tag guns were much heavier than I expected, so while 8 is listed as the minimum age, I'd say it really depends on the child's strength and stamina; 9-10 might be an easier fit for some groups as the boys did get pretty tired of holding the laser guns and you must keep two hand on it at all times. That said, it was a really fun, convenient, and unique birthday option, and I'd recommend them! The instructor was so nice and great with the kids. They were also very communicative every step of the way, arrived on time and were even set-up before expected. No one wanted to the leave the party they were having so much fun.
