My…read morethoughts are similar to many others here - frustration with the online dating process, love-hate relationship with the apps, not finding quality men, and having a bit of occasional writers block when I did actually connect with someone. So when I decide I am actually going to do something, I tend to move quickly. I setup a phone consult (right from the Yelp app) and talked to Ladan the very next day. We then had a face to face meeting three days later, and another within the next week. She was able to setup a photo shoot for the very next day to supplement some of my existing photos with additional casual photos (shout out to photographer @emilyjoangreene - she was awesome too!). And voila - we went live 24 hours later. Fast forward to 8 days later (today) and I have already received more "likes" than I had in all my previous online dating adventures. Three upcoming dates confirmed, and this is FUN, not frustrating anymore. Ladan moves at your pace, helps you showcase the best of YOU and doesn't try to make you into something that you're not, is accessible for those silly follow up questions, and basically just downright amazing. She loves what she does and it shows.

I posted my online dating profile today and already have likes that I think I will like to pursue. This felt like the equivalent of someone helping you part with sentimental items that are creating clutter. Why wear things that don't fit well, you're keeping for that one time when..., or are not classics and are actually dated? When I met her for shopping, I made some quick judgements about some of the items she picked out, thinking, "I'll never wear that." But much to my surprise, those items looked great. Margo nicely pushed me out of my comfort zone/rut of wearing the same colors (hello navy and black!) or buying 3 of one item. She also taught me why some things were unflattering and how to pick things that would be, how to know which jeans would fit best, and how to accessorize. Everything was in my price range and each time we met, almost everything she picked out were items I bought. Margo is so worth your time and money!

Tired of a wardrobe that made me look like I was in college (worn-out hoodies, jeans, chuck…read moretaylors) when I was moving into a more professional role at work, I came across Margo's info thanks to fellow yelpers and got in touch with her. It was time and money well spent. I went from wearing about 20% of my clothing 100% of the time (and not feeling so great in it) to 100% of my clothing 100% of the time, and feeling much more confident about how i was presenting myself. Margo was really fun to work with, and although I wasn't sure how it would be shopping with a stylist, it felt like shopping with a girlfriend who was honest, helpful, and fun to be around. I was on a budget and didn't purchase everything that we found, but she did help me find plenty of great pieces and I got an idea of what sorts of brands and styles were a good fit for me. We met three times over the course of a month or two - once for the closet audit, once for the shopping trip, and once for her to put together some outfits with what we bought (she encouraged me to take photos of the outfits, and it's been a lifesaver). My only regret from this workshop is that I didn't take it SOONER! I work in Corporate Finance for a Fortune 100 company. My goal is to stay on the "fast track" and work my way into a C-suite position. Kim's workshop is designed for individuals who are serious about moving to the next level in life. She provided excellent pre-work/homework to get us to narrow down the qualities we want to most portray, such as "leadership, compassion, influence, or vibrancy/energy" to name a few. Then, we spent the workshop talking in-depth about these qualities and how to incorporate them into a "physical appearance" or personal style. Kim's workshop was top-notch and excellent.
