The room was amazing and the grounds were beautiful. The staff led us on a fun hike to the falls and then we did a scavenger hunt. The food in the restaurant was great as well. Will post a view from my room. I look forward to going back.

    The view

Delicious! My husband is a foodie and he says the pork chop was the best he's ever had. My chicken was also delicious. Gorgeous view and the complimentary hush puppies are worth the trip.

This review is for the restaurant at The Lodge. The service was good, with courteous staff. The view of the lake is breathtaking and they have an outdoor seating area for when it's warm. The food was delicious and priced for the portions you receive. If you're in the area, this is worth a visit.

The view from the bar makes a visit to the newly remodeled lodge worth the trip. I mean, look at my photo. The lodge is gorgemous! With a huge two sided fireplace in the lobby, it's the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking or before settling into your campsite at the nearby campground. The rates are reasonable, if you decide to stay for the night. We were camping, so we decided to grab a drink & a bite to eat before snuggling up for the night. Our bartender was friendly & made lots of recommendations when we asked. Our food, while not exactly gourmet, was more than serviceable & we really enjoyed the whole evening. We'll definitely be back & look forward to another spectacular sunset while imbibing on a tasty adult beverage.

BED BUGS!!! BEWARE! At first I was absolutely captivated by this place. There is a beautiful gas fire pit when you pull up, the Lodge has gorgeous views and there are lots of activities from fishing to kayaking and great hikes. However, this was hands down the WORST experience at a hotel we've ever had. Initially we were told our room wasn't ready due to a "housekeeping" issue, even though we didn't arrive until almost 11pm at night. Then at the last minute, they decided to give us the room (220). We didn't discover until the next day that the bunk beds in the room had bed bugs and that the staff knew about it and gave us the room anyways. Both of my children are covered in bites and are miserable. We had to cut our vacation short and even though we loved the trails and activities, we will NEVER come back. Staff could have cared less about my family or the inconvenience and were cold, never asked how we were or apologized for the inconvenience and I'm sure this will happen again to another unsuspecting family. Beware!!

The Nachos were delicious and Huge!

We Loved this Lodge for so many reasons. I do want to address the negative comments that preceded my review. Social media review sites are to help people make a decision if they want to participate in a business, event or public place. It should be given a good rounded opinion and not a sounding place for frustration. Voice your frustration, but be fair to the rest of the experience. Most of the negative comments were of the restaurant in the Lodge. The restaurant layout was superb. Big open space, big windows, equal comfy booths to movable tables with wide base and nice padding. They also had a wonderful wrap around balcony facing the lake. They had tables as well as couches for just hanging out. They had a long outside bar with stools and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs. In the Morning they had your typical free continental breakfast. 2 waffle machines, no meat, but plenty of carbs. We love the Lodge had board games to play. The general area was so inviting to hang out with even the long tables had table plugs for your electronic devices . Staff was above and beyond in service and friendliness. They spoke whenever they saw you and helped with such a determination that it was like you were in some 5 star hotel in New York. We spoke to the general manager about the incredible hard working staff in the restaurant during Labor Day and he said that he would make sure they were rewarded. He spent extra time speaking to us about our experience there and wanted to genuinely improve anything while we were there. The rooms were spacious and modern. They balcony view was breath taking. The pool was warm and refreshing at the same time. There was so much activities at the Park and around it we never got board, but also was able to relax in the splendor of nature. We took a boat tour of the lake, went horse back riding and walked trails to the falls. We plan on taking our entire family next time. This is a place you can revisit all your life. They are also very veteran friendly!

If you need a break from the drudgery of life, with people available to serve you and opportunities to eat things you can't get at home, don't come here. The post-Covid shortages and lack of options are very evident. If you want a getaway in beautiful surroundings, [under] staffed by friendly, helpful people, in nice, new, accomodations, it's worth a visit. What's good: rooms are clean and spacious, balconies are big and most have great views. What's challenging: dinner options are very limited (get the fish tacos--and banana pudding if you want dessert), if you're there on a day when not all of the limited staff shows up--you'll wait. Why you should go: you want a convenient way to experience a spectacular state park, and you're willing to pack snacks/meals (there are fridges in the rooms).

The chicken fingers were amazing.Wings were spicy but they were good. Pork salad big and scrumptious. Brownie was hot and delicious.

The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

The floors are covered with hair and so is the air intake - it's completely caked. Our unit didn't drop below 70 degrees until we investigated and pulled this god-awful thing out. There's a pool and right near it is a MASSIVE drop-off with NO warning whatsoever. There are no boulders or flags or ANYTHING to indicate where the driveway is. Our truck dropped into it and the entire front bumper is bent beyond repair. The response from the worker was "you have to take it easy out here" as if we were racing around mountain roads in a Silverado. Mind you there's a massive gouge in the cement there indicating this clearly isn't the first time someone's vehicle landed in that ditch.Honestly none of that even matters. The worst part was finding a tick infested dog that lives here and being flat out lied to by the owner of this wreck claiming it was the neighbor's across the road. Well I happened to look at the Facebook account for this "resort" and there are SEVERAL pictures of this dog and another that are labeled as her "crew". She's still insisting that someone else owns this dog. I would think you'd contact authorities for animal abuse if some tick and flea infested dog is lurking around your "resort". It's HER DOG. Don't label your business a dog/pet friendly resort if your bug infested dogs are going to interact with mine. We had several issues with the check-in times and the list goes on. Do NOT stay here. You're far better off camping at Fall Creek Falls state park. The trails and seeing our own dogs having the time of their lives was the only redeeming quality. I wish I could say the same for the skinny black dog back at the resort that the owner "discussed getting tick medicine for". My god. Finally the dog came up on our deck with us AGAIN and wouldn't leave. They were supposedly removing these ticks last night. Thank god I brought needle nose tweezers in case our dogs got one but they didn't because FRONTLINE!! I pulled over 20 ticks off this dog. We stopped counting at 20. We're definitely reporting this to the nearest animal rescue on our way out. How disgusting. Update: after we left we were harassed by the owner as she insulted us for mentioning 3 things that weren't even really complaints. Never once got an apology for ANYTHING. This woman should not be running a rental business. I'm disgusted and my father and I are both covered in flea bites from that dog she allows to run onto the private balconies rented by her guests.
