I will start by saying that this place is great! My wife and I visited recently for a weekend…read moregetaway in the off-peak winter month of February and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

The lodge sits right inside the park, so you don't even have to drive to reach some of the hiking trails. You just walk out and start exploring. The restaurant was a huge benefit and good. Lodge restaurants can be hit or miss, but this one was solid. Breakfast was a basic continental spread, similar to a SpringHill Suites or Hampton Inn. Dinner was better. They brought hush puppies as bread service, and they were delicious. We had an excellent bacon burger and I ordered the grilled shrimp skewers. Shrimp was well cooked, juicy and seasoned well. The rooms were comfortable and modern. Provides a mini fridge and coffee service in the room. We had a balcony overlooking the water, which was one of my favorite parts of the stay. There's also a nice fire pit area outside the lodge for lounging in the evenings. Plenty of seating and group gathering space across the lobby. I'd highly recommend this place. We'll be back. It's only a few hours from Nashville, so it's an easy trip to plan.

Sweet kind and caring. Just the kind of service I prefer. Give this girl a raise!!!!! We recommend also the view will take your breath away. The Cajun pasta was the Cobb salad was ok very big. And the hush puppies were really good too!

I felt compelled to post my first review ever. The experience offered at Grandview is only the…read moreGrand view when you open the filthy patio doors. Then you're welcomed to the Air conditioning unit that is directly under your porch. And that only works when you remove the plugged air filter from the return vent. They also have a swimming pool for guests 200 yards away that is shared with all the neighbors in the back subdivision. And watch out for the unprotected drop off by the pool driveway. Apparently only crazy drivers from out of town damage their trucks turning into it. The park was amazing Grandview Lodge was not. Stay somewhere else.

Where all these 4 & 5 star reviews came from I have absolutely no idea. This is not an "impeccably…read moreclean" business. The windows are covered in god knows what. The floors are covered with hair and so is the air intake - it's completely caked. Our unit didn't drop below 70 degrees until we investigated and pulled this god-awful thing out. There's a pool and right near it is a MASSIVE drop-off with NO warning whatsoever. There are no boulders or flags or ANYTHING to indicate where the driveway is. Our truck dropped into it and the entire front bumper is bent beyond repair. The response from the worker was "you have to take it easy out here" as if we were racing around mountain roads in a Silverado. Mind you there's a massive gouge in the cement there indicating this clearly isn't the first time someone's vehicle landed in that ditch.Honestly none of that even matters. The worst part was finding a tick infested dog that lives here and being flat out lied to by the owner of this wreck claiming it was the neighbor's across the road. Well I happened to look at the Facebook account for this "resort" and there are SEVERAL pictures of this dog and another that are labeled as her "crew". She's still insisting that someone else owns this dog. I would think you'd contact authorities for animal abuse if some tick and flea infested dog is lurking around your "resort". It's HER DOG. Don't label your business a dog/pet friendly resort if your bug infested dogs are going to interact with mine. We had several issues with the check-in times and the list goes on. Do NOT stay here. You're far better off camping at Fall Creek Falls state park. The trails and seeing our own dogs having the time of their lives was the only redeeming quality. I wish I could say the same for the skinny black dog back at the resort that the owner "discussed getting tick medicine for". My god. Finally the dog came up on our deck with us AGAIN and wouldn't leave. They were supposedly removing these ticks last night. Thank god I brought needle nose tweezers in case our dogs got one but they didn't because FRONTLINE!! I pulled over 20 ticks off this dog. We stopped counting at 20. We're definitely reporting this to the nearest animal rescue on our way out. How disgusting. Update: after we left we were harassed by the owner as she insulted us for mentioning 3 things that weren't even really complaints. Never once got an apology for ANYTHING. This woman should not be running a rental business. I'm disgusted and my father and I are both covered in flea bites from that dog she allows to run onto the private balconies rented by her guests.
