Towel rack in bathroom ready to fall. This should be fixed!
    Susan C.

First when we walked in it was a mess from decorating. But that's understandable...just not a great impression. The hotel doesn't smell good. I'm used to hotels having a welcoming smell, but this one was very stale/old smelling. We get to our room and it gets worse. The room wreaks of bleach. It was so bad that it burned my eyes. There was also a slight smell of vomit so I'm not sure what happened in the room or if they just love cleaning with bleach. It was also a handicap room. The clothes rod was so low that our shirts hit the bottom. We had to find an another place to hang them. The clothes hooks were so low that our jackets dragged the floor. The towel holder in the bathroom was coming loose from the wall. Didn't wanna touch it much as we worried it would fall. And don't even get me started on the extremely messy paint job!!! The shower curtain was so high it only came to my knees. So everyone raved about their breakfast (mainly why I booked here). It was not good! The sausage was spongy. The biscuits were dry. The waffle batter was watered down so much that they were terrible. It's one of the worst I've had. Needless to say, we won't be staying there again. Hoping our stay was a one-off. It was disappointing. A high note was that I slept well and the room was spacious. It is definitely a 2 star hotel!

This Comfort Suites is a nice hotel to stay in. The building is newer, the staff was very friendly and the rooms and building were nice and clean. The beds were firm (which I don't like) but the room was well maintained. Breakfast was just like any hot meal breakfast that you would find at most hotels. The pool was closed for the season but the little fitness room was a nice little place to do some jogging. Overall I would probably stay here again if I was in the area. I gave 4 stars because it is next to the interstate but the other hotels in that area are too.

I didn't pick this hotel, my work booked the room for me. It gets 2 stars instead of one because the Staff is super nice, quick Check in. Room is horrible! Dirty carpet, bed frames falling apart and has blue painters tape on it still. My toilet has constantly ran. I don't understand why they have a stadium light shining into our windows. Noticeable mold in the corner of the bathroom tub.

There are no top tier hotels in Crossville, by the way. When you drive up or drive by you see the water stains on the building and the need for a paint refresh. It gives you a clue as to how the hotel is being maintained. When you step inside it smells like mildew and cleaners. However it looks good. That continues until you enter the elevators, hallway and rooms. Those show wear and poor repairs. Tattered carpet squares rubbed wallpaper and moldy grouted tubs. The removal and repair of wall damage covered by paint that isn't quite smooth and doesn't quite match lets you know why the price is where it is. Again the daily housekeeping looks otherwise good. The only caveat is smell. You can always smell the last few occupants. Please clean carpets and curtains more often. That's all I'm saying. Finally. I registered for the $50 card promo. When I called because I didn't receive it, customer service just says they sent it and it shows delivered. However they could not provide a tracking number or date. I have USPS informed delivery so I can see my mail images and I don't show it. Of course they can't cancel and resend it either. Disappointed. Back to Hampton.

The initial booking interaction with the front office manager was excellent, and she went out of her way to make sure we were familiarized with the property, how to get in and out of the coded gate, and where to find our documents/keys, etc. as we were checking in late upon arrival. The cabin was beautiful, if not a tad outdated in the typical "Gatlinburg mountain-style" motif, and was settled nicely by itself without an immediate neighbor, so we felt very comfortable, secluded, and able to fully relax - the ideal weekend getaway environment! What was even better was the pricing. Our cabin was a 2 bedroom, 3 bath, fully stocked kitchen with all appliances, dishware, silverware, etc, and a living room area with 2 couches, a lounge chair, including a flat panel with tv access, and all across 2 stories. Everything was very well cleaned, the loft area was beautiful, and even had an in-room whirlpool-jetted tub. Everything they said they'd do, they did. Great service, nice location very close to the Fall Creek Falls State Park, and within 15 mins either way of the nearest town for additional options. Overall, we'd most certainly visit here again the next time we're looking for a hike along the beautiful falls nearby!

The man at the front desk moved at the speed of a snail--both times I had to interact with him. First time I came to check in, he was so slow I gave up and came back later. Surprise: still slow. He asked for my ID and credit card, then suddenly needed the exact card I paid with online. I didn't have it on me. He eventually accepted a different card for incidentals, but the whole thing was a frustrating, unnecessary hassle. I'm handicapped and requested a first-floor room. I was told they were all full, so he put me on the third floor--and the elevator was broken. No help offered. Nothing. Just a "sorry" and a room up a flight of stairs I shouldn't have had to climb. The noise was ridiculous for a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Thin walls, loud guests, and just my luck--a crying baby in the room next to me that went on and off all night. So much for getting any rest. The only redeeming quality was the size of the room and a comfortable bed. But even that was odd. The sheets weren't even on the bed--just kind of tossed there, like housekeeping gave up halfway through. What hotel hands you a DIY bed? This whole place is a mess. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere--anywhere--else.

Yelled at me without letting me speak, B. Threatened to call the cops on me, and C. Told me to have a "bad day." They obviously don't realize who they're messing with. I will NOT be letting this go. These people should not be in business. No accountability and excessive fees for minor issues (NO DAMAGE). ORIGINAL REVIEW: Let me start off this review with I broke a rule and understand there were consequences...however, the owner of this hotel took it too far. LONG REVIEW I got there at 7:30 or 8 at night with my dogs, bad from the start since I didn't realize they don't allow pets. Every Super 8 I've ever stayed at throughout the country allows pets and I am a cross-country road tripper, there's been a few. That's beside the point... I get upstairs to my room with all my stuff, not seeing the no pet sign at first. Didn't even see one clearly displayed at the entrance. If there is, they need to make it more prominent. To get to my second floor room, I was using their luggage cart to take my stuff up. I'm a tall person. The sign on the luggage cart was right in line with the sign on the wall so I missed it the first time. I did, however, see the sign when I came back up with my dogs, which, by the way, we walked through the lobby. So I decided that I was already breaking the rule, we may as well just go to bed. I had driven 13 hours (with stopping) that day from Oklahoma City. Everything was fine. We went to sleep. The room was small, but not bad. I got up this morning, took the dogs outside, and came back in to get our stuff ready to continue my trip from to North Carolina; I still had 6 hours to drive. One of the hotel workers sees me and says, "what room are you in?" Well, I could lie, but someone could either be in that room, or it could be vacant. Or I could tell the truth, so I told her what room I was in and that I saw the sign late and apologized. I go back upstairs and get in the shower. I get dressed, I'm getting our stuff ready to go and the owner calls me. I pick up the phone and know exactly what is going to be said. She immediately starts fussing. "Why didn't you read the sign?" I tried to explain. "I did see the sign, but it was too late by the time we got in, so I just was hoping to ask forgiveness rather than permission. We're about to leave anyway." She goes off, she's yelling over the phone. She threatens to call the cops. First of all, cops have more important things to do, but go ahead. Second of all, we caused ZERO drama. You didn't even know I had them until the morning and I had taken them out TWICE and, like I said, came into the lobby with them. So I told her "you do what you need to do" and I hung up. I got them together, got some of my stuff together, and made sure the room was clean because the only thing I left was an unmade bed and towels on the floor like you're supposed to to. So I go downstairs with my dogs, and most of my stuff to put them in the car. As soon as the elevator door opens, she starts yelling again and I'm walking by to go out. I put my hand up and tell her, "I'm not listening to you. You're gonna do whatever you're gonna do." She proceeds to call me a bitch and tells me that she hopes I have a bad day. The only reason she said that is because she didn't realize that I needed to come back in and get the rest of my stuff because when I came back in, she looked nervous like I was gonna do something. And if I knew that I wouldn't go to jail, then I would have smacked her. On top of all that, the penalty she gave me for breaking that rule was $200. TWO HUNDRED?! That's excessive. We left that room in better condition than people do with children. I truly hope she gets the karma. She deserves for wishing bad things to happen to people
