First and foremost, I showed up 12 minutes late to the 8:00am appointment, that is 100% on me and no excuses. Upon entering I apologized for being late and was met with a friendly, joking response of "oh well I guess you need to get out of here then, haha" by a dental hygienist. Unfortunately, that joking comment was followed up by a rude toned receptionist's sincere comment of "Yes that's true, you showed up outside your appointment window of 5 minutes, so we have to reschedule". Apparently, without any prior communication of this, the office policy for new patients is that they are given a 5 minute window to show up to their scheduled appointment. If they fail to do so they are out of luck. Not only is that policy draconian and unreasonable in general, but the office in this situation didn't even open until 8 am. Furthermore the receptionist had an overall tone and mannerisms of someone who shouldn't be the human representation of the first impression of the business. I sincerely hope this review inspires changes at the business for future clients, as I will be looking elsewhere. I'm fairly confident Blue Cross is accepted at other dental offices in the Aiken area.

My middle child is a little anxious about her teeth and they let her take as long as she needs to feel comfortable. We all schedule our appointments together, which means that I usually have two kids in the room with me while another child is being treated and I have never felt like my children were a bother to the office. On our last visit I told them when my appointment started that I had to leave in less than an hour to get to another appointment and would have to forego needed services. Instead of making me wait another 6 months my hygienist told me to come later that afternoon and she would get everything taken care of. Seriously, the best of the best and we will never go anywhere else!

They inserted a Large Rubber spacer between my teeth and forced it in. They caused TMJ by being so rough, I was in pain for weeks after the visit. I am 74 and have been to many Dentists. This was my worst experience. No fillings and $900. cash later I got the feeling they are like an assembly line and were all about the $. His approach was judgmental, dismissive, and unprofessional. I was made to feel inadequate simply because I did not know the difference between certain types of x-rays. I had already taken the time to confirm everything with my insurance company before this appointment, but even if there was miscommunication, there is no reason for a patient to be spoken to with such negativity. What was most telling is that another employee felt the need to apologize to me afterward. That alone speaks volumes. As a result, I canceled the appointments I had scheduled for my children later in the day because I would not subject them to that type of treatment. It is disheartening to have such an experience, especially after working up the courage to return to dental care following previous negative experiences. My…read moreprevious dentist recommended that I have cleanings every 3 months because I had past periodontal work. They said my insurance would not cover it. Why? It did before. They told me she didn't know what code they used to give to the insurance co. so I said I'll pay for the extra and then found I could not get appointments every 3 months they will only do every 6 months. OK. Well I started to have pain in a tooth and was told I needed a root canal on a tooth that had a crown, but according to the dentist this is no problem they put a tiny hole in the crown and seal it after the root canal. OK great ..all done. Next I go for my regular cleaning and the dentist says OH NO you have tooth decay on the that same tooth. Now they need to remove the cap, fix the decay and put a new cap on. Another $2,000. Get the decay fixed and new crown ordered. when I go back they tell me I ow $2,000. I tell them I already paid half on the last visit when you ordered the crown. Then they say it must of been a mistake It's $2,000. I had a fit in the place so everyone could hear. They then said they had a coupon and would only charge me $1,000. Had the tooth finished and told them they are thieves and I would not be back. It's 2 years later and guess what...The crown came off and when I took it to my new dentist he said he never saw anything like it with these pins sticking out of it. Needless to say the tooth is so close to the gum line there is nothing to be done except remove it and put in an implant which is what should of been done after the root canal. My husband stayed with them until he was out of the country on business. He text me and said he broke a tooth and asked me to call and make him an appointment for after he got home. Can you believe they would not let me make an appointment for him. They said he had to call himself even after I told her he was not in the country. He has now not gone back there.
