Almost all my clothes are from Kohl's or LOFT. I love LOFT's styles and there is always a storewide sale. Sometimes it can be a 50% off everything sale, and another day it can be 40% off select items (like today). Are you a teacher? Loft loves you! You'll get 15% off almost everything! You most likely need to open a Loft charge account though, but it is totally worth it, I swear! I don't spend enough each year to earn reward certificates, but I do have a birthday every year. That means I get a $15.00 gift card in the mail. No minimum purchase! So that $39.50 top that was 40% off today with my 15% teacher discount and $15.00 gift card only cost me $5.14 ($5.45 w/tax). Loft has an awful website. You cannot get to your cart without the constant push of applying for a rewards card. I also cannot apply a $25 rewards card - it will not take my code. This is not the first time I have had problems with their site. They just lost a $200 sale!!! read more

Loft may love teachers, but their employees don't. Came in to return some Christmas presents. After perusing around the store of Christmas leftovers, I decided to just receive store credit. Both store employees were looking at a binder by the register, and even though I was right in front of them, it was apparently too difficult for them to smile and greet me. When I mentioned that I wanted to return some things, Deva responded in a generic, "Is there something we can help you find?" I replied that I was interested in store credit. I had different gift receipts for two items, and even though my mother originally had paid for all of these items at the same time, this store was unable to put all of the store credit onto one merchandise credit. The manager thought it was possible, but Deva decided not to try. Apparently, the employees at this location would prefer to belittle customers who are making returns then to make them feel welcome.The word sorry seemed to never enter their vocabulary. While making the return, I was also informed I would need to hand them my driver's license and tell them my phone number. This seemed a bit strange, especially since I had the receipts. I have filled out my address and phone number before for a return . Again, Deva replied in a snotty tone, "I have worked here for seven years and this is how we do it." I have been shopping at Ann Taylor stores for more than twenty years, and this was by far the most vile experience I have ever had at one of their stores. read more

I have only been here a couple of time. I think this store is a little smaller than most other loft stores I have been to. Their collection of merchandise is not smaller though, which is a good thing. My one pet peeve about this place is that the way they organize their stuff. The same top or dress will be found in like 5 different places without rhyme or reason.. so if I need my size, I will need to go hunting around the entire store before I know if they have it or not. Also, a lot of times, I have seen the place kinda messy with lots of boxes that the staff is opening and stacking - you would think that kinda stuff gets done after hours..? Can't say service is super unfriendly, but really it is not friendly either. Oh, and half their trial room doors don't lock, so that is super annoying too. read more

This was my first time visiting a Loft location. Two associates were working that day. I approached them both and asked if they worked there and said I am looking for pants. Store Associate, Olivia, came over and served as a personal shopper for me. She was FANTASTIC. I told her my size and what I'm looking for and she pulled a ton of pants. She knew every cut and style the Loft has. I came out with three pairs of pants that fit perfectly and knew exactly what I needed to continue shopping for. All along the way, I saw how attentive and knowledgeable Olivia was in the store. Even when I asked questions about my perfect fit or style, she assured me that if they don't have it, they can have it shipped to the store, etc. Though she didn't close out my purchases, I thanked her before I left. My experience at the store makes me want to continue shopping at the Loft. read more

The shop is pretty clean and organized. I haven't had too many interactions with the staff, but they didn't seem unfriendly. On weekends the store definitely becomes very disorganized and they can't keep up. read more

Looking in my closet, so much is from Loft (for work and occasional casual clothes). I don't know what happened to LOFT, but on a recent (not busy) day I experienced an extremely rude sales person who did not awknowledge me initially, which is fine with me but I eventually needed quick help and I was told "if you can't find it than do you think we have any?" I was a bit taken aback and I promise I am the easiest customer ever! Then as I was looking around the store I noticed dust bunnies on the floor and on the displays, and the shirts I wanted to try on which were stained/poor quality. The sizes are now impossible to navigate; I can wear pants in double 00 or a 6. Again, no help when I inquired about sizing. I walked into the dressing room myself and my room was dirty, and again I am not high maintaince, but I had to put the previous user's clothes on hangers and tried on one pair of pants out of my selection; they were dusty and I couldn't find someone to help me grab another pair. I gave up. The accessories were a mess, so much that I found myself organizing the display. I wanted a necklace but it was tangled up with others so I gave up. Maybe it is just the Silver Spring store, but LOFT has clearly gone downhill. I bought one shirt and the woman threw it in a bag and I had to steam it when I got home. I hope this store gets its act together because I work in Silver Spring and have been a loyal customer for years. read more

Typical Loft store. Service level varies - have had very helpful service and also indifferent "I don't want to be bothered" service. They run out of my size in the cute items often. But overall love the clothes and will keep going back for more! read more

This is within walking distance, so I'm here often. When I got my new job, I took advantage of the 50% off everything sale. I'm able to get nice pieces, and have never paid full price for anything. Score! The customer service is hit or miss however, you will probably have to wait in line slightly longer than you'd like, and size mediums tend to go fast, but that's anywhere. It's a decent size loft, and I've never found it lacking in selection of new styles as compared to other lofts in the area. read more

I live in the area and often look through the latest styles at Loft. Less often, however, do i find something that grabs me and demands that i buy it. Three weeks ago, i found such a dress at Loft, it was love at first sight! I was very excited to purchase and wear it, unfortunately, the first day i wore the dress, threads began to come loose in several large, noticeable patches! I was heartbroken, to say the least. I later took the dress back to Loft and spoke with the manager, Louise. Even though it is not normally the store policy to exchange or return worn items, she made an exception for me and even found the dress in another store, despite it being off the sales floor at the time. I received fantastic customer service at this location and am very grateful to Louise and all the other sales associates involved! I have never had a problem with any Loft product before and will certainly continue shopping there. Thank you, Loft! read more
