Anyway, I did find one singular pair of black pants that barely fit, but they'll work if I don't eat for a day or two. The dressing rooms are horrible with nothing but a drapey cloth that barely fastens shut, so expect to be paranoid the whole time about baring your jiggly bits to everyone around you. I'm giving one star back for service because the sales associate at checkout was delightful. We had a nice conversation and she even listened to me vent a little about my life for a few minutes. But a stumbling block in the DC shop is inconsistent service. One day I had a lovely shopping experiance and so bought two paris of Ann Mashburn jeans. (Made in America. Cool.) The next time the associate had her noise stuck in her phone and never acknowledged me. On my next visit two associates were talking and again didn't even say hello as I reviewed the racks in silence. I was the only customer on a cold rainy Friday. My visit didn't feel very good. I ordered a shirt from here and the sales rep typed in my address totally incorrectly. I noticed…read morewhen the package failed to deliver because of the incoherent address. I contacted DHL, then UPS, but was told to contact the merchant directly. I reached out to the store and the attendant apologized and we went over the address again. I asked him to confirm the address back to me multiple times. The package then shipped to the wrong address again. He has made two errors in the address and only corrected one, despite going over the address with me again the package failed to deliver. Customer service took over, and they said they would send an expedited package. They lost it and have not sent it yet. Used to like this brand but horrible shopping experience will never go back.

I stumbled across this shop after almost two years of working right by it and never noticing it…read morebefore, as it's in an apartment building with only a small sign indicating that there's a consignment shop inside. The store is really small, but I was really excited upon walking in, as the racks were really well stacked-they manage to cram lots of clothes, shoes, purses and accessories into that small space. I'm used to consignment shops in DC being fairly upscale though, and so I was surprised to see lots of mid-range labels-Jones New York and Anne Klein and the like. What shocked me most was when I spotted a pair of shoes which I recognized immediately as being from Payless, as I happen to own the exact same pair. The people working there must not be familiar with the label, as the shoes were marked at $25, whereas I bought them new for $18.99. In fact, I got the impression that as a whole, they weren't very knowledgeable about labels, as lots of inexpensive brands seemed to be overpriced. There were bargains to be had though, as some things seemed to be very under-priced. A $15 Zara skirt comes to mind (sadly a couple sizes too small for me though), as does a cashmere Sacs cardigan, which would have been a bargain were it not for the hideous bright pink color. Like many consignment shops, you could potentially find some great deals here if you have a lot of time and patience and have a basic idea of how much various labels are worth. Additionally, it could be a great place to consign if you have a lot of stuff that doesn't quite meet the standards of Secondi or some of the other more upscale consignment stores in the area, but want to try to make a few bucks rather than just donating it to Goodwill.
