Extremely rude customer service at the store. I came in to exchange a baby item with a valid gift…read morereceipt and was unexpectedly berated by the owner about how the item wasn't in its original box. She reiterated multiple times that I "understand what this means for the business," which felt unnecessarily intense and confrontational. I had no prior knowledge of any box, as the item was given to me already gift-wrapped. I calmly explained this, but was still made to repeat that I "understand" -- over and over -- in a way that felt accusatory and frankly demeaning. I understand that small businesses have return policies, and I respected that -- I came with a valid gift receipt and handled the interaction politely. The issue wasn't the policy, it was the way I was treated. I accepted the store credit, but I left the store with a strong impression of how unpleasant the owner's behavior was. This feedback is not about the outcome -- it's about how a customer, especially a new mother, should never be spoken to that way. I hope future interactions are handled with more empathy and professionalism.

Upon entering, you will quickly that the store is clearly divided by women, men and kids. The store was super clean because I did not notice stains on the floor or clothes all over the place. Perhaps my next statement is due to changing fashion trends (that I was unaware of), but I did not see too much variety in clothing for men. For this shopping excursion, I was interested in purchasing a couple of pairs of jeans. However, most of the jean styles were baggy and "super" wide. Even the regular jeans were a bit too baggy for my liking. Although I was not looking for larger sizes, I did not see too many jeans styles with waist sizes greater than 34. Even though I did not find a pair of jeans that interested me, I thought that maybe I could pick up some graphic T-shirts. Nope! I did not see much of a variety in these shirts. I remember years ago that H&M would be my go-to place to purchase graphic T-shirts. Perhaps, times have changed and H&M no longer carry a large variety of these types of shirts.

The floor set up was somewhat confusing but I managed to find a good deal. A linen dress perfect for beach trips and muggy weather for less than $14. The fitting room wasn't exactly the cleanest and nobody was there. It was somewhat frustrating trying to find and flag down chattering associates to get me rung up, but the store experience itself felt ok. Would I return again? Most likely not because of the lack of what I'd normally wear, but I'm sure everyone else loves shopping there.

And to top it off, one of the employees came shouting at me. I asked for the store manager and they said she's on vacation, and they don't know when she's coming back. Oh boy, so here we are at the top of this complex. And if you were paying attention to the reviews…read moreprior, the further up we go, the messier it gets. If you walk into this store, you will definitely understand that. Actually, mess is an understatement for this place. You automatically feel tired when you walk in here. Maybe it is because you are overlooking what appears to be the whole store from a landing. Got bad knees? Take the ramp to the right. As you look out over the vast land...err, store, you then notice a set of escalators, that's right, there is two levels inside the location. And as you might have guessed, the second level is messier. If the mess doesn't bother you, trying to get a cart will. There are never any carts, or baskets for that matter, available to shop. So I hope you didn't come here with high hopes of filling up a cart of deals. Let's go back a bit here. While you're looking out on the store, don't let yourself get depressed by the dingy digs and bad fluorescent lighting. I mean this place can definitely change your mood when you come in here. Majority of the first floor of this place is clothing. Mostly women's with some men's and teens. Throw in a toy section (which is torn apart by the wild children let loose by the parents so they can shop) and some handbags and you get the jest of the first floor layout. If you happen to be looking for housewares, kitchen gadgets, infant and toddler clothing, head upstairs. While riding the escalators keep arms and legs inside the moving stairs at all times. No, for real, please do this. Last time I was there, and I pray that they cleaned this, there was what appeared to be a chocolate milkshake thrown against the walls going up the escalators. Yeah, please keep your hands in at all times. Upstairs was wild. Try to avoid the infant and toddler clothing and make your way to the hodgepodge that they call housewares and kitchen gadgets. If you want to think that you are in the 80s kids game show 'Finders Keepers' then by all means start tearing things up like everyone else did before you. Maybe, just maybe, you will find the one item still in the package and unbroken. May the odds be ever in your favor if you so choose to shop here. Because you never know what you may stumble across. I do mean stumble, be sure to watch where you are walking because there are items everywhere. Also be prepared to stand in line at the registers for a while as people are lining up there as if it is the best ride in the place.
