First off, I like this place and recommend it. Food, service, ambience, and convenient location are excellent. Personally, I go there primarily for the GOLF SIMULATOR. The golf setup, features, and screen options are also excellent and it provides mostly good information. Perhaps the best feature is the camera which shows how the clubhead contacts the ball, e.g., middle of the face or not and whether the face is square, closing, or fanning open at impact. On the other hand, and this is why I cannot give a 5 star review, the GOLF SIMULATOR IS NOT ACCURATE. I bring my own premium golf balls. The ones provided are not always of high quality. I am a seasoned golfer who knows his distances and numbers. The simulator's distances can be way off. I don't know if the simulator is regularly calibrated. When I asked the manager about this, he had no answer. Several times, I have spoken to other golfers who had the same experience. So do go but do not expect the simulator to give accurate feedback. read more

I went here today just to check it all out. I gave it 5 stars because the beers were cold and the golf was fun. The service was nice and accommodating and provided assistance to get started and play different courses. I would like to come back with the guys to play for a couple hours and eat and drink. Just remember that you should try to make reservations in advance, even if it is during the middle of the week during the day. Think about it, if it is super hot or warm outside, or just rainy, then all the folks usually on the course go here to play. You can bring your own clubs or rent the ones they have there. We didn't bring our clubs so we paid the $7 to rent them. Honestly, it's not a bad deal to play for an hour paying $30 flat fee. I wish I'd visited sooner. Went with a friend for happy hour. Well drinks are discounted. We shared a few appetizers. Wings are the only thing not pictured. Food came out quick. Servers were helpful & accommodating. Wings were delicious & crispy( hence they got eaten before I could get a picture). Loved the quesadilla as well, we added chicken. Made an online reservation for Loft 18 about an hour before I showed up. On their website they had a deal which amounted to two hours for the price of one so I jumped on it. I got the confirmation email and headed out. Once I arrived with a friend to check in they informed me that the deal wasn't valid. I was fairly upset but went ahead and paid full price, $80. This place is pretty expensive. It is also very nice with great equipment and good service. I have no issues with them at all other than not originally honoring their online price. After stewing about it for an hour I asked to speak to a manager and showed them my confirmation email. They immediately offered to remove the overcharge or extend our stay at the reduced rate. This was a relief and we enjoyed playing out our 18 holes. We had a few beers and an appetizer. The chips and queso are better than any other Mexican place I have found in town! I am very disappointed with this place. We have had reservations for every Wednesday night for well over a year now so we could get a certain table/ seating area. When a member of my party got there this evening, he was told by management our reservation was cancelled because someone else had reserved & " paid" for that area. I went to Loft 18 in Metairie for trivia. I was just expecting to get a salad or some fries....until I was introduced to the Surf 'n' Turf burger by our waitress Angelle. My mouth was watering from the intricate details she provided. Pickup experience : I had to wait a while for it but I was in a time range so I think that was it. As always,the burger was great. Good quality, well cooked meat. The double meat burger is huge, so we shared and also ordered the chicken sandwich to share as well, the chicken breast was delicious, but the coleslaw wasn't enough, you couldnt tasted it cause there was maybe a tablespoon of it. Most of the fries were soggy and greasy , that can happen when you do takeout but it was like a 7 minutes car ride so I think they would be the same even eating in the loft. Planned a large family outing for a 21st birthday where we had two teenagers that were not 18. The host staff NEVER told us that after 7pm yes 7pm on the weekends you have to be 18 to come in. 9pm i can understand but 7pm?! Had so much fun at Loft18! We came here at the suggestion of a friend for a fun date night experience. Neither one of us has ever played golf (aside from mini golf) but we decided to try it out! We made a reservation for 5 PM on a Wednesday night on a holiday weekend. It wasn't super crowded so we could have taken a chance a walked in without a reservation but I wouldn't take the risk of not being able to get in. The website is very easy to navigate to make a reservation. They do put a card on file in case of cancellation but you will not be charged until you actually show up. When we arrived we were greeted at the front desk by the waitress who ended up being our server. She was really friendly and helpful. We told her we would need to use the clubs they provided as we didn't have any ourselves. We checked in and were then shown to our section. We had another staff member show us all the ins and out of the touch screen system and how to play the games we wanted. We told her we were unfamiliar with the clubs and she proceeded to explain to us which clubs were best to use for each scenario. We definitely appreciated this and thought it was a nice extra touch! We played a couple of rounds of the arcade style golf games and ordered drinks and food. We ordered two dishes to share - the pork nachos and buffalo wings. Both were so good!!!! The only thing we would change about our experience is to order food after we finish playing. Since there was only two of us and the golf rounds went quickly we had to juggle between eating and playing which wasn't the best combination. So next time we plan on playing first that grabbing a table or sitting at the bar to eat. Also we only played for an hour and both wanted to stay longer so next time we'll also get an hour and half! BEWARE Loft 18 operates in a very unscrupulous way. I'd like everyone who has or is considering booking at Loft 18 to understand that they will bump your booking or event with little to no notice if a larger event comes along. I booked with them on September 20th for my company's Christmas party, SEPTEMBER 20th! Ten days before my event they inform me that they are canceling my booking to make way for a larger event. My event that has invites and RSVPs done, is a Christmas Party, they just cancel you or try and convince you that moving you to another date is acceptable. Loft 18 is a very unscrupulous business. You should not do business with them. In response to your reply, I called in and spoke with your events people and they told me this is what I had to do on September 20th. There was never an attempt made to work things out. It was simply your event is canceled. Rescheduling is not an option. It is a complete lie and a joke to say that your people tried to contact me multiple times that is a complete fabrication and lie to try to make you look better. My credit card was on file to hold my booking. Just a simple case of the almighty dollar being more important than doing the riight thing. Just continuing the lies and the bullshit, prove that you and your company have no scruples and people should avoid booking events due to what you will do to them to get a bigger buck. read more

Loft 18 has been my friends and I's "go to" place for quiet sometime now. Last night, we sat on the balcony as the sun was setting--Alicia & Madison were our waitresses. Both girls were friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable on any recommendations we needed. As soon as we ate they made sure the tables were clean, and brought the next round immediately as it was ready. We started with spinach and artichoke dip, then ordered the Southwest Egg rolls. 10/10 food, atmosphere, and definitely service. We walked in on a Saturday night and all of the golf simulators were booked until 10 so I would call to reserve if you're wanting to experience the golfing. The virtual game spots are rented by the hour and fill-up quick so make a reservation. Bar is a complete bar with a wide selection of spirits. The food is good with some interesting items on the menu, such as beet humus. The desserts are also not be passed up. The plate looked good once we got it as the flavor was good as well. After eating a few, I noticed about 8 clams were not opened out of the whole dish, which tells me they were not cooked long enough. I am not a person to complain as I usually like to give second chances, unless it was really bad. Although the other foods sounded good on the menu, I would have to give this place another try whenever I decide to go back. The overall atmosphere was chill with many monitors around if there were to have any sports games on. The simulators are a nice touch for people that are inexperienced as they can feel what it's like to swing a golf club without going out on the green. Even for experienced golfers, it is pretty fun to practice your golf swing and look at the calculations of how you're hitting the ball, and even providing tips on correcting the wrongs on screen. My overall experience of this place was pretty good, but will give this place 3 stars for poor food quality.
