I finally decided to stop in and try the food here. The sign out front made me curious. What exactly is eggplant gravy? Smoking area in a covered area in front of the bar. This is exactly the kind of place I would frequent when I was drinking. A kind of hole in the wall place with working class clientele. I didn't work up the nerve to ask about the eggplant gravy. I did order the bacon cheeseburger, fully dressed and fries. It was pretty darn good. Friendly employees. There are gambling machines, a dartboard, one of those claw machines, a shuffleboard. There were several televisions on and all playing different sports balls games. The parking lot is kind of tricky. If you park in front, the only way out is via Causeway just south of Veterans where the traffic is all together to filter back on Causeway, or the service road and I-10. Hi everyone. I just recently went to Mardi Gras and we arrived at 5:00 pm at the Hampton inn. We were told we could get a drink next store at the Causeway grill. We checked in and had one beer each and then decided to go to the bar next store as recommended by management. I can't begin where to start with the rudest and most incompetent bar person I have ever seen in my life. She accused my girl friend of being drunk because she didn't know what to order. As a bar tender that is their job to help. She made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
