I live in Bowie so this is a bit of a hike, but Bel Air is a great day trip destination with several fun shops and restaurants nearby. Bel Air is such a cute little downtown area that my husband and I went to for the first time in February 2026 with Wockenfuss as one of our need-to-visit stops! The Wockenfuss staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and let us sample several things as we were deciding. They also gave recommendations based on what we liked (a mix of several different fruit gummies after we tried them all and couldn't make a decision!) I also appreciate how accessible this location is. I was in a walking boot at the time for an achilles injury and navigated the store easily then waited on a bench outside for my husband to pick me up after we had parked elsewhere and walked around a bit. Fair warning: The parking lot is very small; you can't drive through it as there is only one entrance and you will have to turn around in a tight space to exit. I wouldn't recommend parking in their lot if you have a larger vehicle, and the lot will fill up fast on a weekday. If you are able to handle a bit of walking the downtown area is pretty flat (when there aren't snow piles!) and this location is easy to walk to from other parking spots. I will definitely continue to purchase candy from Wockenfuss and look forward to visiting them in person again!

I like my steak rare and with a steak this thin, it's impossible but at least they were close. Again, stuff all over the top of the meat, a bit too much. Stroganoff - solid!! Dessert- Bananas Foster / solid!! My only gripe is the steak. We will be back for sure but I'm done trying to get one out and will just continue getting a nice cut from a butcher and treating myself at home.
