First and foremost, what a cute little place! My husband and I swung by here last weekend when it seemed like everything else was still closed. I ordered the frozen mocha and I swear, before I even had a chance to look back the guy was handing it to me. So fast! Plus, it tastes almost exactly like Dunn Bro's Chocolate Nirvana. Yum!!! My husband got a strawberry Red Bull slushy-thing and it was also really, really good!! If we're back in the Boundary Waters area, we'll be stopping by again for sure!

Picked up a large cup of regular drip coffee and it kept me powered for the next few hours of paddling. Certainly worth a visit if you're up and about in the morning in Ely.

Log Cabin Coffee offers a cute rustic Northwood coffee experience. The building truly looks like a log cabin. It is also the only drive-thru to get your caffeine fix. In addition to the delicious hot and cold specialty drinks, LCC offers a variety of pastries for you to grab and go. My experience was a black drip coffee and a blueberry scone. Both were so good, I stopped by on my way out of Ely, for one more fix. With everyone in our group being from IL and one being a graduate of U of I, we were impressed that the owner was a graduate of U of I, too. read more

This was our favorite cup of coffee in Ely. I got a caramel mocha (hot) and my partner got a cold brew, and we were really happy with our drinks. They were fast, friendly, and genuine. They also had a lot of unique options on the menu for your caffeine fix, like a Red Bull spritzer or slushy. Very cute little cabin. It seemed like they could also accommodate walk ups sometimes too (staffing probably plays a role). read more

I love this drive thru coffee shop. Lady working is always so friendly. Be sure to try their baked good, they don't disappoint! I always have to ask for an extra shot of Carmel as their standard isn't as sweet as I'd like (love Caribou's hot crafted press with Carmel). read more

This place has excellent coffee, and it is so convenient to drive thru. I crave this coffee when I am away, and I go here every chance I can while in Ely! My favorite is the Blueberry Muffin Cappucino. I get the hot coffee version on cold weather days and the frappe version in summer on hot days. Both are excellent and It hits the spot! I enjoyed meeting owner, Marolyn, and chatting with her. I have been coming here for years. I highly recommend to everyone who loves coffee. read more

Really great coffee in a drive in time saving stop. The staff is always very nice, coffee is done quick and tastes great! I am a fan of the depth charge with room for cream and a little honey. They master my drink well. When in a hurry and need a coffee this is the place to grab one on the run! read more

I have been up to Ely 3 times, and 2 of those 3 times, this shop has been closed when it is supposed to be open. It is frustrating when it is the only coffee shop in Ely and you are looking forward to a latte to fuel your 9 hour drive back home. I don't think I will bother trying to come here again for all my future trips to Ely. read more

One of my favorite coffee places in Ely. It's got good coffee, a decent selection, and good service. It's open pretty early too, which is nice if you're on your way to your boundary water's adventure early in the morning. I'd say it's a bit on the spendy side for coffee though, and no, I'm not comparing it to gas station prices. Recommended. read more

Exceptional tasting coffee. Stopped by after swinging into town and loved the little drive thru set up. The barista was very well friendly and knowledgable. Just got a large of the medium roast, enjoyed it so I picked up a pound! Excited to take this home and grind this up for myself. They offered an array of sweets and snacks and a good variety of coffee choices. They also have a daily feature drink which I like when coffee shops do that; gives the baristas a chance to express their creativity! If you are looking for fast service and great coffee in Ely, Minnesota, this is the place. Their drive through and walk up windows are very convenient for people on the go. The prices are reasonable. I have had a good experience every time I have visited with the exception of one recent visit where I purchased a piece of banana bread that was quite dry. read more

Best coffee in Ely, MN! The staff is always more than friendly, prices are very reasonable, and it is quick and convent to stop on the way to work. They recently began handing out reusable sleeves as well to save on paper, how cool is that?! I would 10/10 recommend making a stop here while you are in Ely. read more

Saw this little gem on our way through Ely, MN. They have a walk up and drive through window at the adorable log cabin, so choose your own adventure! We went rogue and walked up to the drive through (rebels) :) I had a wonderful chai tea latte with just the right amount of sweet and my husband had a caramel latte he very much enjoyed. Until Log Cabin coffee, I was missing my hazelnut latte with whipped cream, and now make every visit I can to their store. Very courteous owner and helpers and the coffee is A+...prices are very reasonable, service exceptional, and if you look inside the building it is all new, all stainless steel, and immaculate. In talking with the owner, she told me she built the building herself with only hand tools. Wow! We visit Ely 4-5 times a year and love to visit their log cabin and enjoy their coffee at every opportunity. read more
