I absolutely hate to submit a negative review, by my sense of Yelp-responsibility causes me to be honest... The 2 stars are for the longevity & appreciation for the family business; however, some restructure is absolutely in order. I must agree with some low-rating other Yelpers: repairs take waaaaay longer than they should. items are sometimes misplace, & the quality of work needs improvement. In fact, walked out of my house with my new elastic on sling-backs, but immediately parked again to go inside to change my shoes. Again, the owners are long time family fixtures in the community; however, their dynamics & work posture leave some things to be desired. I am also astonished by the fact that my shoes are picked up in a dirtier condition than when I left them. And these day, you just have to he sure to receive the value of your dollar. read more

Awful. You'd think they'd be better having been around so long but it's not the case. I've got some work boots that needed the soles fixed as they were coming off. Fine, they said, and see you in a couple weeks. I came back two weeks later, showed them the ticket and they didn't know where the boots were. Finally, they find them, do a fast glue job (So, I could've just waited for you two weeks prior?) and hand them back. Note: I don't wear these every day. They're for work around the house, not daily labor. Some time passes and I wear them a few times ... and the soles come off. I waited two weeks and paid them for a repair job that lasted less than three days of use. I'd take them back to have them do the job right but then I'd just be waiting even longer for terrible work. read more

Excellent work but patience is a virtue. The owner (mother & son) are kind & friendly. They are very traditional when it comes to shoe repairs & sometimes the promised date is pushed out. Basic shoe heel repair for vintage bass slip ons. Took four visits to finally retrieve shoes. Unorganized. Each visit was told "20 minutes" to complete. Finally received "repaired" shoes. I will always need this shop and I'm not alone. They've been a main staple in this area for a LONG time. When you love your shoes -but they are at the end of their rope- you CAN save them (most of the time). They have resoled shoes entirely for me, they have cut heels down and have repaired and replaced the heel taps/ends that never seem to last or stay put. Quality work Fair prices Family owned! Let me preface this review with this: I called them in advance and asked if they can repair zippers on backpacks and they said it wouldn't be a problem. They told me my bag would be done within the week, then proceeded to make me wait for two weeks only for me to come in and have them tell me it wasn't 1-ready, or 2- started. When they finished it 3 weeks had passed, and the guy behind the register gave me attitude. My backpack needed to go in to get a zipper replaced. I had provided them with a heavy duty zipper bought independently. It has metal teeth. When I receive the backpack, it seems okay. The zipper placement is poor and the mobility of the zipper seemed poor at first. I adjusted, paid, and moved on. Now within 3 months of getting my backpack back, the zipper has fallen apart. Turns out, the workmanship is lazy at best and shoddy and ineffective at worst. They glued the zipper together near the base (see attached photos). It was not even aligned properly, so when the bag is at capacity the zipper just separates. The glue is the white stuff at the base below my thumb. The string used to attach the zipper has poor placement and was not properly secured, so it has been falling out in places and even has slack throughout the zipper's fabric edging. I won't be returning, I don't recommend anyone else employs their tailoring services unless you have shoes to repair. If they couldn't do it, they should have called and let me know instead of wasting 3 weeks of my time. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. First, when I walked into Logan's I was blown away at the smell of cigarette smoke in this business, I took my ugg boots in because there was a tear in the lining. The lady was rather curt and not very friendly but said they could repair them. I was given a ticket and told they would be ready in 4 days. 4 days later, I return to the smoke laden boot business only to be told her back was bothering her over the weekend so she didn't get them done but they'd be done in 4 days. Ok, fair enough we all have hard days but, a phone call would have been nice since I don't live around the corner. So I come back 5 days later, and she gives me ANOTHER REASON why they aren't done. I told her I really need them and I was gracious and have her a week to get them finished. Mind you all she is doing is literally gluing my boot back together where it's torn, at least that's what she told me. So I go back a week later pay 16.00 get my boots. Now as I'm wearing them a second time, I notice that they were not glued well and they have the hole back. I'm out $16 and wasted all the running around back and forth to appease the owner and be gracious only to not have my boots repaired! read more

Needed a new buckle, said it would take 4 days, I came back after 7, took a while to even find the shoes, not done. Will never ever take any shoe back to them for repairs! Said it would take a month to do a simple zipper repair and when I went in to pick it up, said it was not done yet! Told us to wait for 20 mins and they will fix it....a whole month in storage and all it took was 20 mins? Repair job was rushed and it shows (stitching off and it shows that there was a recent repair). Lady up front reminds me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld with her attitude. Its sad to see a place that has been around for 50 years go to waste. The shoe repair business is a dying breed and there is not much in competition BUT that should not degrade the service. I was a little suspect after they resoled my wingtip shoes and the glue came off the heel one of the first times I wore them, but I brought them back with another pair of heavy duty dress wolverines and they did such an amazing job on the boots they look like new! I think they conditioned them as well and they reset the wingtip sole for free no questions asked. This family business is still around after so many years because they do good work and they remember their clients. Cannot reccommend enough and now I got my everyday boots back in awesome shape! Brought my old scuffed-up cowboy boots in and they re-dyed the leather on the toes and cleaned them up nice. One of my boots was missing a nail, the owner had noted for the technician to fix it but they'd forgotten to, so she fixed it in front of me before I left. (I had to ask her to). I didnt find it particularly pricey, but I'm self-employed, value services and understand the high overhead cost people have to deal with in small business! I think this is a taste of original Denton before it was trendy. Come & see the true "original Denton." I brought in a pair of boots to be shined and also have a tear sewn up, and although it took about a week and a half for them to complete after drop off, the results were excellent, and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful. This is one of the best boot and shoe repair places in Texas. I have been using them for 15 years. Even after moving 400 miles away I still bring my boots back whenever I am in the DFW area. Super friendly and honest hard working people here. A different shop had destroyed the welts on a pair of cayman boots and Logan's rebuilt the welts and They came out great. All for an amazingly fair price. That was 4 years ago and the boots still look and work great. read more

After being evacuated from Hurricane Harvey, my boyfriend realized his work boots were in desperate need of repair. He dropped them off and was promised them in a day and a half. They did an excellent job on them, they were ready on schedule and were so kind to his situation. I appreciate their thoughtful efforts to help him prepare to return home without worrying about his boots holding up in the days ahead. They did a great job repairing my bag. It was a little pricey but I know this work takes time and willingly paid it for a beloved bag. My only reason for not awarding 5 stars was that it took several trips into the store to pick up my item. When I left it there I said there was no hurry (it was just before the holidays), they said they would have it done in 4 days and I went in and it wasn't done, their response was that I had said "no hurry" - yes, but I could have been saved a trip if I had known it wasn't done. Anyway, I would definitely return to them if I needed other repairs, just be really clear on when it will be done. On multiple occasions, I have taken shoes for simple repairs, and they either charge so much or say the repair will take an unreasonable amount of time. Will NEVER take another pair of shoes back to this place. Only gave one star because it wouldn't let me give zero. Lady acted like it completely put her out to have to look for a pair of shoes. Rude when I dropped them off, rude when I picked them up. I'm 40 years old and don't need to be scolded by a shoe repair Nazi. Doesn't matter how good of a job a person can do, I'm not paying a penny to someone who treats customers this way. I will drive 2 hours if need be to find someone that truly appreciates my business. The pair of shoes I brought in to be cleaned/polished was returned in an almost worse condition (lots of new little scratches, different color, scuffs not completely removed, though I was appreciative of one big dent in the heel being fixed), the staff had an accusatory and argumentative attitude, and the item wasn't ready when quoted. I was very disappointed, as I am a strong believer in supporting local business, but that support still has to be earned with quality service. read more

Really disappointed in the work. I got new heel pads put on my shoes and they weren't the right size, leaving the old heel pads sticking out from the new ones. Really? If they didn't have the proper heels, they could have either called me to let me know that they couldn't do the work, or cut down a bigger heel to fit.
