Way overpriced and mid service. I brought in some high heel boots, one with a loose heel that needed to be secured in place. The boots had normal wear with scratches, etc. There was another customer waiting so when he said $160, I felt compelled to pay right away without thinking about it. I exclaimed that costs more than the original shoes themselves and that they better look brand new when I pick them up. They did not, still have dents and marks which they covered with came cheap looking paint or polish. Smh. I won't be coming back here again. read more

I was a loyal customer of Rawhid High Class Boot and Shoe Repair for over 10 years, but this experience ended that relationship. About a year ago, I had a pair of formal shoes dyed silver. I wore them once, and when I went to wear them again this year, the finish was flaking. I brought them back and made it clear I was not asking for the work to be redone for free--only at a discounted price due to the poor durability. The employee who did the work quoted me $35. When I later spoke with the manager, he initially quoted $65, which I found excessive. After I pointed out that his employee had already quoted $35, he agreed to honor that price, citing increased labor and material costs. I felt this was price gouging and taking advantage of the situation simply because they could. There are also no prices displayed in the shop, which makes situations like this even more frustrating. I only proceeded because I was pressed for time, but I left feeling disappointed and undervalued as a long-time customer. I will not be returning. I would give 0 stars if i could. read more

I have some knee high boots I got for a great deal. The boots were made for someone with a wider calf. I actually went to another establishment and was told that my boots were not fixable since the leather would have to be cut to fit the size of my calf. I was also told i would have to pay a lot if I did find someone that could fix it. Well Rawhide High Class Boot and shoe repair is the place that can do it all. I am so happy with the finished product. The owner took a look at the boot. He took my measurements. He had no issue with reconstructing the boots to fit me. The service was great. I felt welcomed and appreciated. The whole process was so smooth. I drove several miles and passed many shoe cobblers to get to this one. I was getting ready for an overseas trip and when I took out my suitcase to pack, I realized that the zipper was broken. I had two options at that point: throw the suitcase away and buy a new one, or repair the zipper and add a few more years of use to the otherwise perfect suitcase. I chose the latter. Rawhide gave me a quote of $50 to repair the zipper. Not replace it, just repair the old zipper. I was quite surprised at the steep price but decided to go along because I really didn't want to throw away the suitcase. I dropped it off at the store in the morning and it was ready to be picked up by the afternoon. The repair work was good, though the zipper did not slide up as smoothly as before. I figured it was the best that could be done under the circumstances. The suitcase and the zipper held up through my trip and I hope I can get at least a few more trips out of it. read more

Oh my goodness I am so thankful to have found this place! I have a lot of expensive shoes and I wear them frequently so the soles get worn down and even the heel tips end up looking terrible. I brought in a pair of Christian Louboutin heels that I was sure no one could repair (I wish I had gotten a before picture!). When I brought them in no one seemed phased by the state of these shoes lol. Three days later, my shoes emerged so beautifully repaired with soles that looked brand new and they had re-wrapped the stiletto since that had also come off and they repaired the heel tip! I took my belt to have additional holes put in them. Honestly, I would have been better off performing this task myself. They punched three holes per my request, however they did not align nor space the holes in the consistency the original holes were placed. Extremely disappointed in their work. Horrible service! The service level has really gone down in the past few years. I brought in 4 pairs of heels to add new tips . They actually broke the heel and returned to me without telling me. When I told them about it, the gentleman says " oh we can't fix that" but you broke the shoe! Also, two of the new tips fell off on the first wear at work! I took my Grensons down here two days ago. Needed half soles and heel rebuild. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Picked up the shoes today to find they'd done an excellent job and even fixed a couple of minor issues that i'd forgotten to mention. Yes they're not the cheapest place for shoe repair but given the quality of the work i feel very happy with the value i got. Excellent all round and they are now my shoe people :) read more
