If I could give zero stars I would. I dropped of some $1,000 shoes and spoke to one of the men about the repairs I needed, it went well, and I paid and left. Only to come back a few days later to ask a few more questions and show my mom the repairs they planned to make in person. They couldn't find the shoes, only to eventually find them thrown in the bottom of a bin full of shoes in disarray. I was horrified to see my expensive shoes treated this way. But that wasn't even the worse part. I went on to ask my questions and was met by the owner who would get more and more frustrated with each passing question. He couldn't be bothered, clearly. I told him the shoes were important to me and apologized for not understanding. I told him I was a little confused on some of the concepts he was explaining so I continued to try and ask questions for clarity. The man threw his hands up in the air and said "I don't need this project, I'm done." My mom and I were flabbergasted truthfully. It was like he didn't want the project because he didn't like being questioned? There's no good excuse for treating a customer like that. Reading other reviews, this seems like a trend for this man. I told him the way he was treating us was rude, and he practically kicked us out of his store. Which was fine, lol. Would never want a guy like that touching anything expensive. Wish I had read the other reviews before I went by, it's clear he has a temper and doesn't know how to answer simple questions without getting mad. Narcissist behavior. My husband took his OMBAC Letterman jacket to Rob with an open mind but not much hope of this jacket ever to be clean again. 20 years of wear. Rob and his wife went beyond what we expected or could possibly imagine this jacket to come out in the condition that was presented to us when we picked it up. Robb Williamson is argumentative especially when you point out the poor customer experience his company provides. I took a belt there and left with the feeling that I would never see it again. After a few months (yes, months) I told my wife that I was just going to see how long it would take for them to call. I finally found out and the answer was 13 months. Yet, Robb blamed me multiple ways and when I countered his positions he started to escalate it into an argument. His comments on poor reviews claim that he's a small business owner trying to make a living. If that's the case, he should invest in a customer service class or hire people to handle all customer interactions. What he's doing right now is simply driving away customers who had good prior experience with his company. Now, I will either find someone else or just throw away what could be repaired. Robb does a fine job, a real craftsman. He not only resoled a pair of work shoes for me but patched the inside with leather where I had worn through the lining. He carefully lined up the stitching needed for the patch so it blended with the stitching already visible on the shoe's outside - artistry! Communication is excellent. They called to let me know when the job would be delayed while a pair of proper size crepe soles was ordered. Shop staff also very friendly. Real old school place. Ask Robb to show you how to tie your shoes. Chances are you are doing it wrong. He taught me after 50 years of doing it the wrong way and now my braided laces stay tied with a single knot! Parking out front is tight and it may be tough to get onto 377 backing out. Go around the block and park on the side of the building if you can. read more

I took my favorite pair of boots in to have the soul and heel replaced and they told me it would be about 3 weeks. This made me sad but time went by pretty quickly. I got a call from the shop on Monday and I was on business trip so had to wait until today to pick them up. And all I can say is they seemed to have done a fantastic job. And they cleaned/polished the boots as well and they literally look brand new. Both people I had interactions with were super friendly and helpful. This is the first pair of boots I've had with out a rubber soul on them so being my first pair of boots that I've needed to have new souls put on. So I wasnt really sure what all I needed, but they walked me through and told me my options. He told me he spends his days answering calls, texts, emails and night working on repairs. The businessman you are is equivalent to your store front, messy and dirty. I don't berate anyone, i expect and say what is fair for the service i paid for. Try to be more convincing next time with your made up proof picture that the item was done March 2nd. A toddler could have inked in what you did. Even if it was done by said date, you need to train your employee to better communicate instead of conveying it hasn't been started on. And btw i have an iPhone with 128g of memory, i don't think my voicemail box would be full as i have been getting voicemails without any problems up to today. 3/20 6pm - Simply no eye for detail for a shoes repair store. Brought in a brand new purse to get the chain shortened. Brought it in Feb 17. Was told it will be about two weeks. No calls from them by March 20. Call them to ask if my item was ready, the guy told me it hasn't even been started on and that they'll call me back when it's ready. I wasn't okay with that and made a fuss. I mean who wouldn't??? For a service you already paid for and your item isn't ready way passed the time promised and all they got is 'we'll call you when it's ready??' Anyway i got off the phone with them and they called me 15 minutes later saying it's ready. I came to pick it up...another disappointment to follow, shoddy work. The owner Robb himself handed me my purse and he had missed looping the leather through one of the chain hole. The extra leather wasn't cut off and was sewn together where it clearly jutted out. I pointed it right away and he had the nerve to say 'I didn't miss anything. You wanted the chain shortened and that's what I did.' I continued to defend case and lucky for me there was another customer behind me or else he probably wouldn't have went back to fix it (judging from his responses to other reviewers) the picture is his 'work' after he went back to 'fix' it. Clearly he has no eye for detail for someone who runs a shoes repair store, or proper customer service. While i was waiting, they had charged two other customers $25 for 'expedited fee.' He takes care of business I've gotten shoes and hems done by him and they have both been amazing work and he's completed them on the time frame discussed. He just is to honest and up front and people get sensitive about it (like if he can't fix an impossible fix or can't have it done in 5 minutes, I saw this in person at his shop). I brought in my beloved 20 year old Ugg boots for a cleaning and minor repair. $50 in advance seemed a little intense... but for another 20 years out of these boots, I was willing to pay. I was given an estimated timeframe of 10 days-2 weeks. On day 15 I called asking about them. A gentleman said they weren't coming as clean as he liked and wanted to try again. Fantastic, yes please do! He estimated another few days, which I was fine with. I called a week later to check on them, a different man said he thought they *might* be in the ready pile he needed to go through it and maybe he'd text me later that day. Odd, maybe he could have just looked for me? But ok, whatever. I received a text stating they were ready later that same day. When I picked them up, they weren't impressively clean but I understood that they really tried and appreciated the effort. The repair work was okay, the sole was glued back on adequately but the excess glue wasn't really wiped off well. It's plainly visible. Four stars for what I believe was extra effort put into my old boots, but for overall look and experience I really want to give three stars. read more
