Let's say I wasn't impressed. Service was fast. That was the highlight. Ordered 2 steak sandwich specials. A Mt Dew and a 7up. Mt Dew came in a can and 7up in a glass. The glass cost twice as much as the can. Didn't know till check came of course. Steaks came between 2 pieces of toast. Not impressed with presentation. Mine mid-rare cooked ok. The other was to be med- well. It was extremely RARE. Sent it back and was first replaced by one made for someone else according to waitress. It also was rare. Third steak turns out to be First steak that was put back on grill. We know because it was already cut in half from it's first visit to table and put on new toast. It was still rare. Return visit? Rating will depend on what you eat. I had a steak sandwich with fries. Not cheap, Very disappointing to say the least. The meat was tasteless and almost impossible to chew. It was presented very nicely with tomato, lettuce etc. but l don't eat looks. Even the fries were bland. Won't be going back even though we are in the area frequently. read more

I like this place. It's in a strip mall and it might look generic on the outside, but it's a good restaurant with a logging theme on the inside, surprisingly enough. ;-) As usual, this is coming from a veggie / apps viewpoint, so I can't comment on your pork chops and burgers or whatever you're eating. They have a salad bar on Friday & Saturday nights, I believe. It's very basic, but fresh and good and a good price as well. On non-Fridays and non-Saturdays (wait, actually any day!), the salad entrees are huge. It's not all you can eat, like the salad bar, but I bet that one bowl is all that you can eat. It comes with a breadstick and a few too many croutons. I got the garden salad and I think it's around $6 (in 2019, but don't quote me) and it's a really good deal for a whole lotta raw vegetables. And those croutons. Deep fried green beans are the star of the appetizers... not necessarily anything special (frozen, deep fried), but very good! You will want some. Pizzas won't necessarily wow you, but they're definitely above average. I wouldn't go out of my way and come here specifically for pizza, but I would and have eaten pizza here and I would again. :-) Last, but not least, have some mini donuts for dessert, plain or ala mode. They're good and good for you. Okay, maybe not the last part. But if you were Paul Bunyan or some other famous logger, you'd probably eat the mini donuts. I think they're good enough to eat on their own, and I'm not even Paul Bunyan or some famous, infamous or unknown logger. That's how good they are. (And no, that doesn't make any sense... I'm just being goofy and the donuts are good and I wish I had some right now and this is a run-on sentence.) I haven't had anything at the bar or had their breakfasts, so those may come in an update. I was in the area and looking for a place with burgers and fish sandwiches and I found Loggers on yelp. This place is exactly how I expected it to be. It's in a strip mall but has a cabin feel. There's wood panels everywhere, and moose heads and salmon coming out of every wall. There were signs all over the place for their specials. "Kids under 10 eat free." I remember that one, too bad I don't have one of those. Also free beer between 11:45pm-12:00am, I could mosey on through and slam back a few. Design overall wasn't really my cup of tea, but the menu looked decent. We arrived for a late lunch so it wasn't busy, We chose where we wanted to sit and we were seated quickly. I was disappointed in their burger selection. The menu was big, but they only had one burger, and your other option was to build your own. A lot of patty melt options though. We settled on a build your own burger with American cheese w/ fries, and a fish sandwich special substitute fries for cheese curds. The burger was okay. The cheese wasn't really melted on it. It was greasy and filling so it did the trick. Nothing exciting there. The fish sandwich was GOOD. They had a special, a fish they don't normally use, the server didn't know what it was. We think it was cod. It was perfectly cooked, hot, flaky, and crunchy. Cheese curds weren't the best I've ever had, but they were quite tasty too. The service was great! Our server came by often and she was so friendly, so even though the food for the most part was blah, she made it a good experience. read more

Sub par. St Croix Falls has little to offer a gastronome and Loggers contributes no more than the pizza and burger joints claiming most of the street corners in town. Yes, the place is neat and clean, appearances are at once pleasing, but sophomoric on second glance. Lamps over dining tables are mismatched, table-tops some are epoxy-acrylic some are composite. wall decorations are Hobby Lobby, Dollar Store, or Pier one close-outs intermixed with Gander Mountain discarded taxidermy samples and Tractor Supply Stores long forgotten inventory. Interior decorated by a 12-year old. Helen enjoyed her veggie wrap and said that her french fried potatoes were perfect. My 12-oz Bourbon glazed pork chop was the size of a 1/3 pound Burger King burger (5-oz). The chop was over-cooked, dry, tough and over-seasoned. The sides were acceptable, but the baby carrots garnish were dried and appeared lifeless. Service was good, but totally lacked congeniality. I entered and left as a stranger. Customer service workers should strive to treat every customer as they would a friend or neighbor, but without the gush. Will I return, that is unlikely. I certainly will not buy another pork chop here. read more

I've lived in the area for going on 10 years now and I've tried multiple things on the menu. This place is dead last on places I'd go eat. The only highlight is that the servers are great. The food is garbage. Cheapest in quality crap you can get from Sysco. If u don't listen to any other review listen to me now... go to McDonalds or subway first! GROSS!! Went here for breakfast this morning and the food was terrible! Limited breakfast menu.

Came across this place being a 1st time visitor to Taylor's Falls. Loggers was advertised as "kids eat free" in multiple places. On a Tuesday evening we appeared to have limited dining options outside of McDonalds and Subway. We decided to give Loggers a try. Upon reviewing the menu, I realized there were actually very limited "free" kids meals.... unless oranges and bread constitutes a meal. My nephew ordered the kids pizza which was essentially a flour tortilla with cheese and sauce on top for about 3.50 with no drink included. My significant other and I ordered a pizza which was edible but very forgettable. I was appreciative of the amount of cheese but the sauce was non-existent. Perhaps other menu items may be more desirable. Not so much with the pizza. It reminded me of a frozen Jack's pizza. Some positives- the server was kind and friendly, themes/specials offered throughout the week, and there are desserts available. read more

My wife and I were traveling through St Croix falls and needed a place for supper. We stopped at Loggers. I ordered the hot beef sandwich and my wife had salad with chicken smothered and cheese and bacon. My sandwich was horrible! The meat was grayish, cold with instant potatoes smothered in a yucky gravy. The salads tasted old. However, on the plus side, our service was fast and the waitresses were polite. We decided to stop here on our way home and it was such a disappointment. I am only giving this review 2 stars because our server was great, no complaints there. The owners however need to reavaluate things a bit. My husband had the worst hot beef sandwich he's ever eaten. It was deli sliced meat on 2 pieces of white soggy bread, imitation potatoes and a nasty gravy all for a whopping $15 next my kids ordered pb&js what do they get 1 slice of white bread and a container of jelly and peanut butter. That plus one small glass of milk ran me $5 per child when it's listed as "free" in the menu. My food was cold and extremely overpriced for what it was. read more

Disappointed again. I've lived in the area for 18 years. I keep coming back to Loggers hoping that it will get better. No such luck. The meat portions (chicken & salmon) are small. Please, this is not a gourmet restaurant! I can get larger serving from Walmart! The presentation is nice and the wait staff are attentive. I could not ask for more in a wait staff. They do have an nice selection of beers. All in all, I'll put off going back for a few more years and hope it get better. read more

We were up in Amery, came through SCF and stopped at Logger's. The decor is WI bar all the way. Very nice and clean- noticeably so in fact. We sat in a big booth and ordered a variety of items from a very attentive cheerful waitress. Buffalo wings were good, chicken strips crunchy and peppery; the cheese curds were crunchy and oozing - delicious! The burgers were just dandy as was my son's BLT. I must say, I had the best bowl of chili I've had at a restaurant. Reasonably priced- for four with unlimited refills our tab was like $44 Next time through that area, we will definitely stop at Loggers. read more

We waited well over an hour for our food. During that time we were never waited on. I had to go to the bar to refill our drinks. When our food arrived it was cold and burnt. We order dessert before our food arrived, knowing that it was going to take awhile. We still waited 45 minutes for our dessert. Terrible service and quality of food. read more

My family stopped here after hiking in Saint Croix Falls a few months ago. We had a great experience. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. We loved the free kids meals and my husband and I were both very happy with our lunch. I had the special which was a grilled cheese with bacon pieces, tomatoes and pickles. So good! We stopped in for a burger and onion rings. Since they were 1/2 pound burgers we decided to split the burger. There were 2 tables ahead of us. It took over an hour for the food to get to the table and when it did it was cold. The waitress was attentive which is the only reason I am giving it any stars. read more
