This company is one of the best we've ever contracted in 35 years in which we moved at least 15 times. We were moving to the DC area from New Haven and had a tight timeframe for moving. They were on time on moving day. Charles, the owner was very accommodating to our multiples requests. The staff was always nice and professional. Packing, loading and unloading times estimated by them were very accurate. Most importantly everything arrived to our new home in very good condition. The price was very reasonable and competitive. The quality of the supplies they used was excellent. It would be very hard to beat this team in quality, professionalism and price. read more

I'm very sad this poor review is necessary; I really wanted this to work out. But, I too, had a similar experience as Cheryl and Mario. Charles the owner and his crew are super nice guys. They're awesome. I loved the idea of supporting a young local company working their butts off. And, that they did. They worked hard; it was a long day. But, if you're move is emptying a storage unit, or office equipment, or any space other than a household I'd say these are your guys. Strong, funny, relentlessly hard working, great attitude and commitment. What they are not is competent. If you want them to get near your household furniture and goods, I'm suggesting you find another company. My move did not go smoothly. In the end all of my items did eventually reach my new place but not in the first shot, nor on the same day. In a series of frustrating understandings/mistake what you agree to at one point in the day will not be what happens at another point in the day. All agreements seem to be fluid. When you ask, "what happened?" there's always a "well, such and such came up." Transparently obvious and behind every reason is: poor planning. Whatever Charles' crew thought would work, didn't work. To Charles' defense he did rely on information he received from his crew when he was off site, but the responsibility is still his to accept the crew's misinformation when it doesn't pan out. So, I get it, these are just things that happen and I'm still all for this small company. Our flat agreement of a rate got tossed in the trash; he's gonna pass on his financial errors to me. I say, "no, but I'll split it with you." What am I gonna do?; they still have a truckload of my stuff. I'm from the Midwest where a handshake and agreement is a rock solid bond, anything that's my fault is mine to eat. I'm a freelancer, too. If I misquote, or grossly underestimate, I do not go back to my client. That being said, now I want to mention the household. I have one mid-century piece that I pointed out that I wanted securely blanketed and taken care of and Charles showed up to personally wrap it himself. It travelled well and was unharmed. But then, Charles left. I discussed with his crew a couple of other vintage pieces to be packing-blanket wrapped, also. An Oak filing cabinet, a 1989 Stickley chair and stool, and a 150-year old Shaker rocking chair. They wrapped the filing cabinet and the Stickley chair. 2 out of 4. I watched the rocking chair come off the truck unwrapped at my new place and looked it over - it had one gouge but I wasn't sure if that was there before. Things stacked in the new space and got deep. It was about 11:00 pm and the crew still had a 3 hour drive back, so I did everything I could to tip them and get them on their way. I trusted that they would have told me if anything had been broken. That trust was a mistake. It was about 2 or 3 days later, getting through the stack, when I picked up the Stickley stool. It was broken. Google Stickley furniture and note the price and then note the build. They're built like tanks. I cannot possibly fathom what kind of force it would take to break that stool inside the truck.(see photo) When I asked Charles what he wanted to do about it, he texted, "...the movers confirmed it wasnt done by them and they confirmed before they left." Charles was lied to. Whoever took that stool off the truck made sure it was buried and not to be discovered until later. Charles has offered me $40 to repair the $700 stool. And, I agree with him, it can probably be repaired, but that's not how vintage stays vintage and retains it's worth. This isn't a stool from Ikea. This is an heirloom; it can only be sent back to Stickley to be repaired and that's gonna cost a fortune. I am the third reviewer to point out that Charles does not accept responsibility for his or his crew's errors. He's convinced he does, but, he doesn't. By offering $40 he can sleep at night believing that's integrity and stepping up - it's not. If Charles wishes to do households he should be able to look over a room and spot the Stickley, spot the Shaker, spot the mid-century, spot a real oriental rug, spot the maple and the oak, and tell the difference between Ikea and Henredon. He should be teaching his crew, too. In my experience, he does not have that knack. Now, if you think that I got what I paid for you'd be wrong. Charles' quote was in the range of all the others. I wanted to support him as a small, local business. And, again, I really liked the guy. I specifically said to him when we reviewed all my stuff, that I don't care about the money, I care about the items, so do it right. We agreed to a price and that was that. We both lost, but only one of us is culpable. I cannot recommend Logic for households. read more

I had originally selected a different moving company until Robert from logic called me back and gave me some things to look at and consider so that I wouldn't end up being ripped off. I appreciated his honesty and his concern when talking with me. I canceled the other company and chose logic. That was definitely the smart move. Jerry and Charles were my movers and they were awesome. They were considerate, careful, friendly, and worked with a sense of urgency since we were working on a quoted time. We had nice conversation while the work was being done and I would most definitely use them again!!! This company is a joke... I initially called some company called Experienced Movers and they in turn subcontracted Logic Movers to move 2 couches for me, this is where the nightmare started. So I needed 2 couches moved (brand new leather couches that cost 4 grand) into an apartment that they could only move using the stairway going to the 3rd floor. 2 guys showed up, one of which was his first day on the job, he weighed maybe 130 pounds soaking wet. I asked if he would be able to lift the couches since I knew that they would be extremely heavy since they have dual recliners (meaning there's a motor and steel frame under the couches to make them electric controlled) and the other guy who I assumed was a regular employee, he was actually nice and seemed like he knew what he was doing...so they start moving the couches into the stairway and that's when I knew they were going to have troubles moving the couches up the stairs. They turned the couches upside down so where the headrest part of the couch was basically being dragged up the flight of stairs, they in turn got the couch stuck and wedged into the handrails of the stairs, this is when I had to intervene and basically help move and direct these clowns on how to move the couches without damaging them any more. I basically did half this job on my own! The corners of my couches had some major scuff marks and a tear on one of the leg rests. I took pictures immediately and also confirmed with the movers and showed them the damages and they acted like oh well, it is what it is. I sent the pics to their boss Charles and he then tells me I need to contact some guy named Aswad. I contact him and he basically tells me that since it wasn't a contract move where I scheduled a truck and movers from them where they pack everything up and use their own trucks that if my items were damaged then there's nothing he can do about it, he called it a "Labor only" job. WTF does that even mean?? isn't moving things "Labor only"?? They refuse to repair my couches and offered compensation of $25!!! DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!!! Also prior to me agreeing to use them to move my couches I specifically asked if they were insured, and they said yes of course we are. At no point did they ever say to me since this is a "labor only" move that we do not insure the items being moved. The guy named Aswad said its a CT law that they don't need to insure labor only moves and that somehow I should have known this. I asked him to show me that law and or show me on their website where it states that, of course he never showed me. I will be seeing you in court!!! read more

I hate to right bad reviews on anyone but after my experience with this company I felt I needed to. I would NOT recommend anyone use this company. Numerous issues came up. When we first booked with the company everything sounded great and the price was right. The day before they called to confirm the moving time. They said they had us scheduled for 10-11am, we asked for 9am which they said would not be a problem. The next day it was already after 9am and we had not yet heard from the company. Upon calling, the company owner, Charles, told us in a matter of fact manner that, oh yes the truck will be there between 10-10:30am. When I mentioned we were told 9am, he then told me that due to the company not having a truck to cover our move, the movers went to go rent a truck and that they were having "computer issues" at the rental agency and that's why there was a delay. I suppose I could understand that however I thought it was odd that they didn't bother to call us to let us know there was any issue or delay. I then heard back from one of the movers who told me he would be there in 15-20 minutes, which ended up being 45 minutes later. In the meantime my husband and I both started moving out all the boxes to the front yard to help speed up the process and help the movers out. We were moving a fully furnished condo and were told they would come with a 24" truck. The movers showed up in a 16" UHaul!!! After this I again spoke to Charles the owner regarding the fact that there was no possible way our furniture would fit into this small truck. I was surprised by his response. Instead of apologizing for any inconvenience he stated that by the square footage of our condo and estimated weight/lb per sq foot that a 16" truck was sufficient, while in another breath stated that UHaul didn't have any 24" trucks available that morning. Either way another red flag as they had already known they would not have a truck to cover our move and you would assume they would have reserved a truck. After a long conversation he then said he would try to find another truck and he would have his movers at least get started in the meantime. The movers themselves were overall very unprepared for our move as there was miscommunication within the company as well. They were told to be at our condo for 10am (which they showed me in the text they received from their boss) and that it was a same town move, which was incorrect. Though they were mostly pleasant I was very shocked by the lack of speed in which they packed. It took them almost 3 hours to pack up a small 16" UHaul. Throughout this entire time my family arrived to pack up all of our vehicles to the max to help. I tried to contact Charles, the owner, numerous times throughout and he was unresponsive. He did not call us with any updates and would not call us back until 30 minutes after we tried to contact him. In the long run, we had to make 2 trips to get all of our furniture. The movers themselves were inexperienced. They even stopped to order pizza on their way during one of the trips (making what should of been a 30 min drive 60 min). I'm pregnant and I didn't even eat lunch! 7 hours later we finally had all of our furniture at our new home, minus a very expensive antique glass top kitchen table in which the movers broke. We hired a moving company because my husband has back issues and I'm 7 months pregnant, yet in the long run we were working all day in order to help speed up the process. I'm even more disgusted in the way the owner runs his company. Instead of being apologetic or offering any sort of feasible discount he was extremely rude and offered nothing except excuses for every issue that arose. I'm actually surprised he is still in business. In comparison, just 1 week prior my brother moved from one house to another and used a different moving company which I wish I used. They were efficient, worked quickly, moved everything without scratches or damage. We did not have to do much at all because the movers did their jobs the way they were supposed to. Once again, I really do hate to write bad reviews because I know the mark they can leave on a companies good name but if I can save anyone else the stress this company caused me then its worth it. There are not enough kind words to describe how great Logic Movers are. I was sent three men to move myself and my roommates and the move was seamless!! These guys worked so hard and moved every item with ease. They were friendly, thoughtful, and respectful. Their estimated time was accurate and they put all furniture back together perfectly in our new place. If you need a moving company you MUST use Logic Movers. I used Logic Moving company for my most recent local move - the quotation part and customer service was quite extensive and I did spend quite a bit of time on the phone before the actual move, with that being said there is a severe lack of communication between the office and the actual movers that arrived. My house was partially packed and I was quite specific on the phone with Roslyn that I would need the packing finished the day of the move, yet the movers showed up totally unprepared and I had to send people out for more boxes and packing supplies, and we packed the rest ourselves. I also had one specific item that I mentioned I did not want damaged which was a tanning bed, well among the other scratches and scrapes on various items (that were unreported to me and I discovered during the unpacking) my tanning bed was damaged. I had even mentioned to them they could take it apart to make moving it easier - they insisted they could just move it as one piece and it would be fine. I would be very wary of using this company each day I am finding more and more items scratched and damaged, and everything was dirty, the mattresses, the couches, etc. They were super courteous, I just wish they had started telling me about the damaged items as they were unwrapping them. I also didn't even have them reassemble the beds or anything as they would have been there even longer. My house was 944 square feet with one room in the basement and no attic took them 9 hours. As a side note my family moved me two years ago into that house with a Uhaul rental took them about 6... I booked them in a pinch with only three days to move so my options were limited. I am certain I would not use them again. I am still waiting for a call back after I sent pictures of the damages...been a good two weeks... read more
