A technician came to my house 3 and a half hours early and proceeded to sit on a laptop in my living room for an hour and a half doing what I was told was a "signal check" for the now working wireless internet. After the hour and a half the technician left, leaving me with a bill for $106.00+ and neither my wireless nor my regular hardwired internet working. I was simply told "You have an old modem that you need to fix. We can give you one for $80, but I don't have one right now." I thanked him for coming out, assuming I would not be charged for such poor service. "I need money" were the next words out of the technician's mouth. When contacted for a refund the customer service representative was abrasive and arrogant, claiming that their workers were competent and that no refund could be granted. I created an account on citysearch just to review this company, something I have never done before. Please, contact any other computer servicing company to fix your problem. Using On The Fly Computer Guy was one of the most demeaning experiences I have ever had. UPDATE: After getting frustrated with the customer service representative (I believe his name was Ron), I checked on the problem myself. Twenty minutes later I had wireless internet. I am now typing this from my laptop using the same wireless internet this company told me was impossible because of my "old modem." With so many other options out there, why risk spending huge sums of money on incompetent technicians? They simply tried to scam me into buying one of their overpriced modems that was completely unnecessary. They'll take your check and laugh to the bank... Pros: Makes you feel confident that they will fix your problem. Cons: Doesn't fix anything but charges you astronomical fees.

They say the repair is going to be done on Monday and you call on Wednesday to find out if its been shipped out and they havent even completed the work. They then proceed to tell me that the repair will be done on Friday. I call back on monday and said it will be done on Saturday. Finally got the text, saying it will be shipped out next day air. Let's see what the repair is like. Since I haven't received the phone back yet. This would be first time fix for a Samsung phone. I've used them with a laptop and got similar experience. This is the last time i am using Asurion in Hamden. I'll drive 30+ minutes to get my device fixed at another Asurion (Poughkeepsie, NY) if needed.

This review has nothing to do with a phone repair service, rather it is a comment on it not being a…read morereliable UPS Access Point. My first experience: UPS delivered my package at this location. I attempted to pick the shipment up four different times, each time when the business was supposed to be open, but found the store was closed. Twice, I attempted to contact the number that was posted on the door, but was not able to get assistance or information regarding when the store would reopen. My shipment ended up being returned to the sender. The second time a different package was delivered there, the business open. I handed the staff person the UPS delivery notice, they looked for the package, but were not able to find it. I was told it would probably arrive soon, later in the day. I contacted UPS, gave them them the number on the delivery notice, and was able to confirm that the package had been delivered days before. Why the staff person did not use the same number to confirm receipt is not clear to me. The same day, I returned to the store, and the staff member handed me the package, explaining that the UPS driver had covered my name with the corner of a label. I was able to easily peel back the sticker, and my name right there. While I did finally receive one package, the amount of lost time and energy left me wanting to avoid having UPS deliver future packages to this location.
