I started coming in a week ago to try acupuncture to help with my insomnia, urinary problems, migraines, and energy levels. Dr Choi was very nice and extremely helpful throughout the process. I've always been scared of needles but Dr. Choi made the experience painless and relaxing. She gave me a herbal extraction remedy to help aid my sleep and after a few days i already noticed the changes. It used to take me hours to fall asleep but after a few sessions and regularly taking the herbal remedy I was falling asleep in 30 minutes or less and getting a full 8 hours. Their cupping treatment also helped me with my muscle tightness as well as my migraines. By helping me release the tension in my traps my tension headaches have stopped coming. This place is amazing! Dr. Choi has been a blessing in my life and the staff is wonderful. Every experience I have had in this office has been nothing short of pleasant. I came in with what I believe to be a pinched nerve near my right shoulder blade. The pain came out of nowhere and was absolutely excruciating. It felt like my nerves were on fire, and caused so much discomfort to the right side of my back/shoulder, underneath my armpit, and halfway down the backside of my right arm were all more than sensitive to touch. My skin was itchy and numb and scratching it felt worse than a sunburn. Not to mention the pressure I felt from my back into my chest as a side effect from the nerve pain. I struggled with it for a week and a half going to chiropractors and getting massages and coping through the day on Tylenol; and nothing helped. I have been to an acupuncturist before, in Santa Monica; but I was looking for someone local with immediate availability. I found them on google maps, called in the morning and had a 3 pm appointment that day. I called back after I realized I had a scheduling conflict and needed to move my appointment. They were able to accommodate me with a 1 pm consultation and first treatment session, knowing that I had to be somewhere at 3 pm. They made sure to email me the paperwork in advance so I could have it completed when I walked through the door, to eliminate unnecessary wait time. Within minutes of talking to me and the exam, I immediately felt like Dr. Choi knew me. She basically described my life in a nutshell (you are the leader of the group, very stressed out, try to do everything for everyone, work too much, always feeling rushed, and don't get enough sleep). She said "I'm going to help you, but it will take multiple treatments." I then had my first acupuncture and cupping session, which was essentially painless (especially in comparison to the pain I had been feeling for days). The next day, I felt sore and bruised, but I knew my body was healing. The pain was not like before and did lessen within 24 hours. I had two treatments per week for three weeks. The results are real, I am free of pain, and have minimal numbness at my shoulder blade (probably from nerve damage), but pain free elsewhere. The treatments are worth every penny. Also, I recently learned that they can help with weight loss struggles using acupuncture, a moxa treatment, and special Chinese herbs. So I'm definitely giving that a try considering the huge success I've had with them so far. I have already recommended them to my coworkers, family, and friends! And now I recommend them to you! If you struggle with any headaches, back pain, sciatic pain, anxiety, insomnia, etc. (and nothing seems to work), do yourself a favor and let this healing center help you. read more

Started off weird. I had an appointment and prior approval from insurance. When I arrived, they asked for my ID and proceeded to take a picture of it with their phone. That really put me off and made me really uncomfortable. In my opinion, no reputable "medical" practice would save your personal information on their iPhone. I asked them to erase it. They insisted it's a business phone...the owner did try to erase it in front of me. They took a photo copy of my ID instead. As my neck hurts and I needed treatment, I did proceed with the acupuncture therapy. I was approved for 6 sessions. I only did two because it didn't help and I couldn't shake my uneasiness with how they conduct their business. I want to report them for HIPAA violation. read more

The visit was beyond my best expectations. Dr. Choi pinpointed my condition with just a few diagnosis. I went in for tight neck muscles that prevented me from swiveling my head left and right. Before the visit I avoided acupuncture because it quite frankly scared me. But after my experience with Dr. Choi's office, I am going to be more open to the treatment because it didn't hurt AT ALL. After the treatment, I was able to normally swivel my head almost right away. With no pain! Not only did she relieve the pain immediately, she showed me stretches and treatments I could do at home to get better and to stay well (pain-free). She also examined my pulse and diagnosed my physiological make-up: how my body was naturally cold and how stress is affecting my body. It was so strange how accurate she was. I was happy to see that she specializes in reproductive therapy. And through her diagnosis, she told me that certain foods were not right for me. I totally believe her because her diagnosis about my body was spot on. I am going to schedule another visit with my husband to make sure we are in a good condition to try for a baby. Found this place by mere luck, right after I was discriminated at a PV location. The accessibility of scheduling and the friendly staff helps ease anyone's nerves. I suffer from debilitating back pain and foot pain. There are days in which I simply cannot control my pain, simple tasks like repositioning myself in bed or adjusting myself at my desk at work take a toll on me. I am not able to get any type of sleep at night due to pain. I toss and turn every 15 minutes, that was before I began sessions here. My first session with Dr. Christine Choi was incredible!! She began her assessment and started telling me about my life. You're so stressed. You work a lot. You demand a lot on yourself . You suffer from stomach, headaches, back pain, foot pain and the list continues. I started to cry, literally. I felt a connection with her, I said wait a minute how can you guess all this? She said, "I am feeling the pressure points on your body, your body is yelling at me...HELP." I wouldn't of believed her but she knew everything about me, literally with that first consult. Their acupuncture combined with the cupping therapy alleviated the tension in my muscles, my sleep quality improved tremendously! I am forever thankful to Dr. Christine. She healed me in 2 sessions when my primary doctor and referral doctors couldn't after almost a month of trying everything. I had "cold shoulders" so I couldn't lift anything, move my right arm back and forth and couldn't even wear my own clothes without the help of my wife! It was always sore and painful. I blew my lower back out at work and was in bed for two days not able to do much because of the pain, my brother tells me to go get acupuncture done and I laughed at him, no way is that going to help me, he offered to pay for me and made the appointment, I showed up and they did the cupping and acupuncture on my lower back, took about an hour and she gave me some lower back exercises . When she was done I didn't feel a whole lot better and was convinced I just wasted my money.
