Bismarck and his team rocks! He was super accommodating with what we wanted to do, since I kept changing my mind. We had some very dark rooms that the previous home owner painted (red and blue ) that needed brightening up. His team picked up the paint - all I had to do was call in the order - and they were on time and super clean. In 2 days they did the entire dingy blue basement and our depressing red dining room. The painting was even and crisp. Now it looks waaay brighter!! I'm so happy with the results, now just need to wait for the paint to cure before I can redecorate! My fiancé hired Bismarck based on a referral. Huge mistake. Drywall repair and painting in two rooms that should have taken one guy half a day ended up taking two guys a full day (security footage displayed their lack of work ethic). Another worker (who was actually very proficient and we only got after refusing to accept the other two workers again) repaired half of what they had done. He stated that the other work should never have been done in the first place and he would not/could not repair it. Bismarck declined on many occasions to come out and see the evidence for himself and only offered to do so in a heated negotiation for payment in which he stated he would not charge us for the rework. We paid an agreed to amount simply to rid ourselves of dealing with him and his unprofessional behavior. We have since hired another person and paid (again) to have it done right. read more

I contacted Lomar Painting for an estimate to have my kitchen and dining room ceilings painted. First, I would like to say that Bismarck is very responsive and respectful. He was able to provide me with an accurate estimate via photos which beat 4 other local companies. His estimate actually beat everyone by over $100, in some cases he estimate beat other companies by over $200. To be transparent, I paid under $800 to have about 550 square feet of ceiling painted. Therefore, the price for the high quality paint job was unmatched. Next, he coordinated with me and was respectful of my time to get the job completed. He was able to schedule me within the week and at a decent time during the day. He also asked me what brand and color of paint I wanted to be used. Today (March, 26, 2021) was the day in which Abel arrived on site and completed the paint job me and Bismarck discussed. He arrived on time and was respectful and courteous. He followed COVID-19 protocols, wearing gloves, an N-95 mask, and removed his shoes before entering. He rapidly prepped the kitchen and dining room and began to work. He removed some water damaged spots, sanded the entire ceiling, fixed nail pops, and finally painted. The job took about 5 hours for one person. Abel did an outstanding job and represented the company well. Also, he cleaned up after himself and removed all the trash he created. I had a great experience with Lomar Painting and have already recommended them to a friend. I hired the company to paint most of the interior of a 1br/1ba condo A couple of the highlights: 1. Timely scheduling: I was hoping to be able to schedule painters while my condo was still empty, before my household goods were delivered. Bismarck was able to give me a date 5 days after my call (and could've done earlier). 2. Reasonable prices: I will admit that I didn't do very much price comparing, but when I explained how many rooms I wanted painted in one day, Bismarck adapted an Angie's List deal to my requirements while recognizing the same rates. 3. Good quality: There were a few drips on floors, baseboards, and outlet covers, but the crew did a good job of cleaning them up. I was left with just a couple streaks on outlet covers which they probably should've cleaned off, but all but one were easy enough for me to scrape off or in places that will be hidden by furniture. 4. Great communication. Bismarck was responsive to both phone and email, and within an hour of the crew finishing up and leaving, had emailed me both the final invoice as well as an email making sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. (I will note that I am slightly disappointed to find that the other review on here is from the owner of the company.) read more

We had some electrical work done in our home that put holes in our walls, and the electrician recommended Lomar Painting to fix the holes and paint. This company did excellent work for us at a fair price. I didn't want to go for weeks with holes in the wall, so I asked Bismarck if they could put us on the schedule before we even had the electrical work done and knew what exactly we would need. They put us on the schedule so that the holes would be patched and painted the very next day after the electrician was done. The workers were efficient and made the house look like new. We hired Lomar to do the entire interior of a 3000 sqft town home with a 3-4 day estimate with high ceilings, different colors for ceiling, trim, and walls. Bismarck was great and gave us a very competitive estimate but it was his team that really knocked our socks off. Showed up early every morning and worked a long day for what turned out to be 3 days. They were tidy, respectful of our home, and cleaned up at the end of each day. We bought our own paint and they applied it beautifully. Our home looks literally like it has had a complete rehab. Lomar Painting provide a competitive proposal. Rotted wood replaced with PVC looks fine. But the power washing and prep were inadequate. Rotted wood-siding was replaced with wood, but it was not sanded prior to painting. It has a rough surface, unlike the rest of the garage. Several areas on the deck and the railings needed sanding too. Lath work under the deck was to be painted but was not. Paint splashed on a window and a doorknob was not cleaned up, nor were the many paint drops on the patio. The person who I thought was the supervisor was seldom around which may account for the sloppy work. In response to emails, sometimes a problem was addressed; sometimes not. Without the time to supervise the crew myself, it was apparent a good job would not be done. I decided to pay the bill and be done. read more

We bought a home this summer and decided to paint the interior before we moved in. This was the first time I have ever hired someone to paint, and I was nervous about the entire process. After searching reviews for local companies, I decided to give Lomar Painting a try. I filled out the estimate form on their webpage and the owner, Bismarck Lopez, promptly replied. After a few emails back and forth, we had arranged everything! Price, which walls/ceiling/trim to be painted and which color, what type/colors of paint, and when the work would be performed. On the first day, I showed up to let the crew in and did a quick review of walls/colors. They offered some great suggestions on handling the ceilings with the central stairwell that runs through the 3-story townhouse. We were so impressed with their work! The lines are crisp and even and the way they handled the multiple stairways and ceilings was very impressive. It makes the house look so much better and it felt like home the first moment we walked in. They proposed $2000 for a job including replacing exterior trim and painting. Trim looked ok but sections were not replaced that were paid for, chalk and paint was sloppy and crew used interior putty then painted. When it rained the paint peeled and entire area came apart. When we called the owner or supervisor, don't really know his role, acted put out and annoyed that they would have to do the job again. Bottom line, no quality control, lots of excuses, incomplete and sloppy work, they don't stand behind their work.
