The building is shared by multiple offices, so the parking lot is always busy but most of the time it's pretty easy to find a space near the entrance. When I checked in their office, there was only one other person waiting in the waiting room and Dr. Tomcho's assistant called me into the exam room almost immediately, it took me a little by surprise because I even arrived early for my appointment. The office is always orderly and neat; the atmosphere is relaxed and his staff is always super-nice and professional, they make my visit comfortable and puts me at ease.

There are early day and late (4pm) slots available which is great! The waiting room is clean and quiet. The staff have been friendly and personable. My first appointment was for a treadmill stress test. The tech was so funny and walked me through the process. The second visit was for an echocardiogram. The tech offered me a blanket during the exam which really helped calm me so much that I almost fell asleep. :)

I went in thinking it would cost me $30. I got there and they told me whoever told me that was wrong and that it's $500 something for self pay, and $165 with the 70% off discount if I pay the day of and the EKG is included. I went back into the appointment and was told the EKG was not included along with other tests they had to run and I was so frustrated I cried the entire appointment and was still charged $165 for NOTHING. I was so upset I was getting chest pains. They made me pay half the day of ($87) and are still sending me bills for the other half, but I refuse to pay. Every time I try to talk to billing about it they don't care and tell me I still have to pay even though the miscommunication was their fault. When I finally went in for tests a month later after getting insurance, I saw a nurse practitioner instead of the cardiologist and I was told I have a PVC and mild regurgitation but was not given treatment. They referred me to get a cardiac MRI but the place they referred me to- THEIR OWN HOSPITAL doesn't do them. I have messaged the nurse practitioner the multiple times on mychart and she hasn't responded. I was supposed to have a follow up appointment with her this week and I haven't even gotten the MRI yet and had to cancel it. THIS incompetent care and the horrible healthcare system in the US is why heart disease is the leading cause of death, along with this country's foul way of handling the COVID pandemic- a disease which has affected my heart. Additionally, last year when I got Covid i was seeing Samantha Reed and tried to call her for an appointment, and she randomly called me back. I thought this was just a common courtesy and then she charged the phone call as an appointment even though I was never told this was an "appointment." I now have over $100 in fees from them and they refuse to remove them although these charges are a result of their own incompetency. This hospital is completely incompetent and should be ashamed of how they treat patients. Hopefully I don't have a heart attack or can find somewhere else to go because this is absolutely ridiculous.

I had two relatively basic follow up questions which I emailed using the Sutter Health portal - the system they specifically have patients use for talking with their doctor. He ignored my email. After 15 days with no reply, I emailed him again, asking why he hadn't returned my email. If he'd suggested a call or even a visit, I'd have been fine with this but I'm not fine being ignored and left wondering what's up with my health. After filing a patient feedback complaint, a supervisor intervened - she btw, was understanding and agreed with my position in total. Still, I had to wait another 8 days and make another phone call while getting harassed about a bill I refused to pay until service was complete. I also found Dr. Anderson sloppy and not detail oriented. He accused me of not getting a blood test which had in fact been sitting on his desk for weeks. He hadn't bothered to look at it or even for it prior to our second scheduled appointment. It was easier to blame me for failing to follow his instructions. Finally, after weeks of headache and hassle Dr. Anderson gave me a bare bones curt reply and then chastised me because email is a poor communication tool. This from a grown man and supposed professional who chose to communicate by ignoring his patient completely. I never had a direct line to him and had no other way of communicating with him other than his own Sutter Health portal - the one they make you use! It's laughable that he tried to blame his own network's system for his failure. Overall, I found Dr. Anderson cold, arrogant, petty and lacking in detail. To cement my last impression, he spelled my name incorrectly in his final reply and had several spelling errors as well. Both are medically irrelevant but they speak to an overall lack of attention to detail. Personally, when it comes to my health and the exorbitant expense we incur, I want someone on the ball, not someone looking at the cheerleaders and waving their hand with a "yeah, yeah, whatever" attitude toward his job. This man is supposed to be a brilliant physician but he can't spell properly or get his patient's name correct in his correspondence? He was also unprepared, yet blamed the patient, then didn't acknowledge his mistake. Isn't this common courtesy and "I'm paying attention 101." I'm genuinely disappointed because I prefer giving positive reviews but my experience was anything but positive. I wish you better luck if you're seeking a physician and opt to get care from Dr. Anderson.
