    Corn fresh from the stalk

This place is pretty good as far as Los Angeles-ish pumpkin patches go. It has the look and feel of an actual farm, except for the fact that the pumpkins are pre-sorted into price categories, and it's much cleaner than an actual farm (no mud and pumpkin vines to tangle with). The prices are low (with some smaller pumpkins as cheap as $1), and the pumpkins are pre-priced so you know what you're paying before you get to the register. There is also a small selection of veggies available for purchase (I got a whole bag of bell peppers for $1). If this were anywhere else in the country I'd only give it two stars. And here's why: 1.) You have to pay extra for things like the corn maze, hay ride, and other activities that are a standard 2.) What they deem apple cider is actually just warmed up apple juice (disgusting) 3.) The aroma of the potto potties lingers throughout the whole place 4.) It's packed. Throughout the whole day. Like Six Flags or Disneyland. And with the lines for the rides and unruly children it might as well be an amusement park. It's definitely one of the better pumpkin patches for this region so take what you can get, unless you feel like splurging on a flight to New England and going to a real pumpkin patch.

Lombardi Ranch has been around for me, since the beginning of time... I can remember being a kid and driving up to the Ranch from the Valley for Pumpkins, Pony Rides and of course the Corn Maze. Now, I'm a Mommy and it's where I've taken my son for the past two years (he's two) to collect Pumpkins and ride the Choo Choo. I love it here. Lombardi Ranch is a fun and family friendy atmosphere with live music and community bake sales and craft fairs. This is the kind of place you can still let your kiddo run around without the impending doom feeling that you're going to have to stab someone when they look sideways at your monkey. While it does cost a few bucks to partake in their outsourced activities, I just think being outside and getting to run around chasing my son is the best thing ever...you can catch the family that runs the ranch helping out with the fresh veggies stand (all grown on property) and driving the train through the Scare Crow Field. As a local SCV Mommy, I experienced the fires last year and almost lost my own home to the flames on the ridge...so seeing that Lombardi Ranch is back this year inspite of their own personal losses in the Buckweed Fire, just kind of makes me all warm and fuzzy and I don't mind spending the extra cash on throwing my monkey on the trian or walking through the amazing Maze. Happy Pumpkin hunting to all!

Loved taking my kids here when they were little, they always found their perfect pumpkins and we loved climbing the hay bales and corn maze.

Being new to the area, I've been visiting different farmers markets around Santa Clarita, and I was…read morereally excited when I found the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market. Out of the ones I've tried so far, this one had more of the variety I was personally looking for, and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere the first few times I went. But the main reason I initially felt comfortable there was because during my first visit, I came with my service dog and the employee at the entrance properly asked the ADA-approved questions. She asked if my dog was a service dog and then asked what task she performs. I genuinely appreciated that so much, because most of the time people immediately say "we don't allow dogs" without asking, which can feel dismissive when you rely on a service animal. That first experience made me feel safe and respected, and it made me want to keep coming back. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very different. When I arrived, an employee immediately told me that dogs were not allowed, without first asking if my dog was a service animal. I politely asked if she could ask the two ADA questions, and the interaction became uncomfortable. She responded, "I did, I asked you what the task for your service dog was." I told her, "You didn't ask me if she was a service dog, you just told me dogs aren't allowed." I then explained my dog's task and said, "If you don't mind, please review the ADA procedure for the two questions." She replied, "Oh my friend, we do follow ADA regulations." I told her, "No, you didn't. You assumed my dog was a pet and didn't ask if she was a service dog first." She said, "Most people are happy when we ask those questions," and I responded, "Yes, we are happy when you actually ask them." I do believe she thought she had asked correctly, but she didn't, and the conversation kept going back and forth in front of other people, including a vendor nearby who was giving samples. I ended up getting emotional and crying, which was embarrassing, and I felt bad that the vendor had to witness the situation because he was just standing there doing his job. I can see how this may seem like a small thing to some people, but for those of us who rely on real service dogs, these interactions matter a lot. We constantly feel like we have to justify our legitimacy, and it gets exhausting. I understand that staff have to deal with people bringing pets that are not service animals, and I respect that, but that's exactly why the correct ADA questions should always be asked before making assumptions. And there are ways that you can tell when a service dog is not a real service dog, which is information I would gladly give as I used to help train service animals. Because of that experience, I left feeling really disappointed. It's unfortunate, because I truly liked this farmers market and the variety it offers, but after that interaction I don't feel comfortable going back. I do hope staff continue to review ADA guidelines so situations like this can be handled more professionally in the future.

Their broccoli is great as well AZ ranch has fantastic blackberries! Apricot lane farms has meat - I got a pork chop that was tender and had great flavor Flying disc ranch has some great dates - all different varieties - they aren't there every week but if you see them - snatch some up! Tea waves. - lets you try a sample then you can buy some to take home and enjoy a zen moment with some great tea Timber canyon has great avocados - they have become a staple for avocado toast In this day and age you get what you pay for and I'm sick and tired of wasting my money on grocery store subpar produce that goes bad or is imported thousands of miles from other countries We need to support local and keep these small farms in business. The quality and taste are so much better - and you can buy just what you need So grateful these farmers come
