Wonderful Community Farmers Market with Fresh, Local Quality…read moreThe Old Town Newhall Farmers Market is a fantastic weekly destination for fresh, locally sourced products and a welcoming community atmosphere. This certified farmers market brings together local farms and food artisans, offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisan breads, dairy products, honey, meats, seafood, and a variety of ready-to-eat foods. Held year-round on Saturday mornings at the Old Town Newhall Library, the market provides access to produce that is often harvested just 12-48 hours before being sold, which truly shows in the quality and freshness. Visitors consistently praise the friendly vendors, fresh food options, and variety of small businesses to support. Many reviews highlight the excellent breakfast and prepared food options -- from pastries and tacos to fresh juices -- along with quality produce and specialty items. While it's a smaller market compared to some larger regional markets, that actually adds to its charm. It's easy to explore, offers thoughtfully curated vendors, and creates a relaxed, community-focused shopping experience that keeps people coming back week after week. If you're looking for a friendly local market with high-quality products, great food, and a strong sense of community, the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market is absolutely worth visiting. The level of service provided by each farmer and vendor is exceptional and consistently professional.

Being new to the area, I've been visiting different farmers markets around Santa Clarita, and I was…read morereally excited when I found the Old Town Newhall Farmers Market. Out of the ones I've tried so far, this one had more of the variety I was personally looking for, and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere the first few times I went. But the main reason I initially felt comfortable there was because during my first visit, I came with my service dog and the employee at the entrance properly asked the ADA-approved questions. She asked if my dog was a service dog and then asked what task she performs. I genuinely appreciated that so much, because most of the time people immediately say "we don't allow dogs" without asking, which can feel dismissive when you rely on a service animal. That first experience made me feel safe and respected, and it made me want to keep coming back. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very different. When I arrived, an employee immediately told me that dogs were not allowed, without first asking if my dog was a service animal. I politely asked if she could ask the two ADA questions, and the interaction became uncomfortable. She responded, "I did, I asked you what the task for your service dog was." I told her, "You didn't ask me if she was a service dog, you just told me dogs aren't allowed." I then explained my dog's task and said, "If you don't mind, please review the ADA procedure for the two questions." She replied, "Oh my friend, we do follow ADA regulations." I told her, "No, you didn't. You assumed my dog was a pet and didn't ask if she was a service dog first." She said, "Most people are happy when we ask those questions," and I responded, "Yes, we are happy when you actually ask them." I do believe she thought she had asked correctly, but she didn't, and the conversation kept going back and forth in front of other people, including a vendor nearby who was giving samples. I ended up getting emotional and crying, which was embarrassing, and I felt bad that the vendor had to witness the situation because he was just standing there doing his job. I can see how this may seem like a small thing to some people, but for those of us who rely on real service dogs, these interactions matter a lot. We constantly feel like we have to justify our legitimacy, and it gets exhausting. I understand that staff have to deal with people bringing pets that are not service animals, and I respect that, but that's exactly why the correct ADA questions should always be asked before making assumptions. And there are ways that you can tell when a service dog is not a real service dog, which is information I would gladly give as I used to help train service animals. Because of that experience, I left feeling really disappointed. It's unfortunate, because I truly liked this farmers market and the variety it offers, but after that interaction I don't feel comfortable going back. I do hope staff continue to review ADA guidelines so situations like this can be handled more professionally in the future.

Their broccoli is great as well AZ ranch has fantastic blackberries! Apricot lane farms has meat - I got a pork chop that was tender and had great flavor Flying disc ranch has some great dates - all different varieties - they aren't there every week but if you see them - snatch some up! Tea waves. - lets you try a sample then you can buy some to take home and enjoy a zen moment with some great tea Timber canyon has great avocados - they have become a staple for avocado toast In this day and age you get what you pay for and I'm sick and tired of wasting my money on grocery store subpar produce that goes bad or is imported thousands of miles from other countries We need to support local and keep these small farms in business. The quality and taste are so much better - and you can buy just what you need So grateful these farmers come

The Torrance Farmers Market is one of our absolute favorites and easily deserves five stars. There…read moreis an incredible variety of vendors and everything feels thoughtfully curated and high quality. We especially love Harry's Berries and Ken's Farm Goods, but honestly there are so many great booths that it is hard to go wrong. The produce is consistently fresh, seasonal, and flavorful, and the vendors are friendly and knowledgeable. It is the kind of market where you end up discovering new favorites every time you visit. Parking does get crowded pretty quickly, so arriving early definitely helps. That said, the attached park more than makes up for it. It is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for walking around, relaxing, or enjoying your market finds afterward. Overall, this farmers market is a gem and a must visit if you are in the area. We keep coming back and it never disappoints.

Just when I thought these 2 rows covered all the typical farmers market must haves, I was pleasantly surprised to find another row (at a 90 degree angle, which is a second parking lot), with additional items. To me, this was the row that sets this farmers market apart! A unique variety of local small businesses....bao buns, ube desserts, soups, yogurts, butters and so much more. I understand why this farmers market is so crowded each week. This is my new favorite one! Parking is tough, especially when the park is also hosting sporting events.
