Actually, it isn't painful, it is annoying and inconvenient. Dr. Belanger is ABSOLUTELY outstanding! He is a fantastic communicator, he is thoughtful, caring, informative, and doesn't make you feel you are being rushed nor is he a, "yep, yep, okay gotta go, busy, busy" type. His demeanor (aka bedside manner) is one of the best I have encountered and I have been a nurse over 25 years. I had a serious sinus infection which led to Dr. Belanger recommending this surgery because it was one of the worse cases he had ever seen. He has taken my after-hours call twice with IMMEDIATE call back and never, ever did he sound put off that I was bothering him. He was calming, patient, and reassuring. I am very happy with him as my doctor, I trust him implicitly, and he is dynamic! On a scale of 1 to 10 he is an 11 professionally. I asked him to put one on or I would leave. He told me to leave. He wouldn't wear a mask during the covid-19 pandemic! I left and will never go back again. His staff is wonderful but I will not see a doctor who puts his patients at risk for the virus. Just like any business he is required to wear a mask.
