On the other end of the spectrum, my masseuse asked if wanted swedish or deep tissue (same $70 for 1 hour, zelle preferred but venmo accepted), paid ahead of service). She did seriously firm deep tissue and fascia release. Excellent work throughout the body and plenty of focus where I requested. No.oil in my hair, as requested. The house on exterior needs some work (careful of 1st stair atep, and for 1st visit o advise daylight) Interior is fine, and clean.

During the massage, which was mediocre, there (I showed up on time) was a knock on the front door about 10:00 am. The Masseuse, who was working alone, left me to greet the person at the front door. I couldn't hear their entire conversation but i did hear her tell him that she was busy and to come back at 10:30 am. Well, when she got back to me she shorted me about 5 minutes, no doubt because she wanted to be ready for the potential 10:30 am arrival, who probably wanted a little extra service and would pony up a bigger tip than I was prepared to pay. (I was strictly there for a no-frills no extra massage.). As they all do, she proceeded at the end of our truncated massage to hurry me out the door, the possible 10:30 appointment guy nowhere around. She was obviously to me very angered by that and had the unbelievable gall to tell me to never come back. I was dumbfounded and mislead in retrospect that i had left any tip at all. She certainly was not deserving, and in some shops would have been fired for her conduct.

This place always has same day availability, which is wonderful, and is not nearly as expensive as high-end places which makes this an ideal choice for "oh god, I'm hurting, I need a massage" quick fixes. I usually get a couple's hot stone massage here with my partner - so getting in last minute in extremely impressive because its accommodating two people, two massage therapists, and having a couple's massage room. I had tweaked my back and hip and wanted a deep tissue massage to break it down. The woman who greeted me was in plain clothes, jeans and tee shirt. Told me to undress and lay on the table. The woman came in to give me massage, I told her I wanted it hard and asked if she could shiatsu and she said yes. She could not do hard and was very awkward while walking on my back. After about 20 minutes she asked me to turn over, which seemed very soon but when I did, she was a different woman, in a night gown like thing so I thanked her, got dressed and got out of there. It was a bummer because there really are very good massages available at many of these hole in the wall places. Especially if they do not greet you in a mini skirt so for a bit, I had hope. Once she leaves, i get onto the table and I KID YOU NOT - when i put my face in that little hole in the massage table i was looking down at 2 pairs of men's shoes and 3 quarters on the ground..... she proceeded to give me a one hour massage with ZERO LOTION in a silent room. No music, nothing. She yawned probably 15 times. Not even kidding it was the most painful experience, she was rubbing straight bone, at one point had her knee up on the table with me (for leverage? Idk) and when she repositioned my arm it brushed up against her phone that was sitting on the bed. Yeah. She was one hand massaging me/phone in the other hand? Idk. needless to say, was very VERY clear she was absolutely NOT a masseuse and had zero knowledge of where muscles are in a body (?
