I had been waxed before but never sugared. A gf recommended that I try sugaring and after crazy debating and Groupon searching I came across one for Rochelle. Let me tell you, I'm of average "hairiness" and medium coarseness. I took 800mg of ibuprofen and went in nervous. Having not been sugared before and being well over 8weeks "natural" , it took longer than usual. 30 mins. Total. It was a bit more painful than I anticipated, BUT!!!!!! When all was said and done. My skin looked photoshopped, none of the redness that usually accompanied my waxing experiences. I was shocked, and sold. After 4 weeks I have about 1/16 yes. 1/16! Of my typical regrowth! I'm sold. You know how sometimes you like a person and they're providing a very intimate service, but the whole time in your head you're writing your bad Yelp review? Strap in. I got a Groupon for two waxes or sugars and booked my first wax online (first of the two, not first wax ever). A wax. Specifically, I selected wax. I have heard everyone rave about sugaring and tried it a few times, but don't like it because it is more uncomfortable than a wax and I had more negative skin reactions to it than waxing, which works perfectly fine for my hair. However, I got two sugars! (I know, I know...fool me twice, shame on me!) The provider does both, but just went in on autopilot each time and I didn't think to confirm what I had booked. At the first one, I let her know that wasn't what I booked or wanted, but I guess since she already started with that, she had to keep going. She said next time we would do the wax, I assumed that meant some kind of note would be on the appointment when she made it or on her mind because she did seem genuinely sorry. Then, the timing at my second appointment just sucked - I waited 10 minutes to even be let in and she was running behind, so my 15 minute treatment took 35 minutes. I didn't even bring up the sugar/wax issue once I realized she again started in with the wrong treatment (yes, I absolutely should have confirmed and checked what she was prepping) since she was already apologizing so much about the timing and based on my first experience, we couldn't change it at that point anyway. Like I said, I liked her, but I don't really want a wax provider who constantly needs to apologize for multiple issues. So yeah, they're okay for sugaring if that's what you're into and that's what you want. Or I guess even if that's not want you want. read more

I've come here for sugaring services from both Dominique and Sadie and a custom 60-minute facial. I can't recommend the sugaring service here enough - I swear, my last sugaring from Sadie was one of the least awkward and least painful sessions I've ever had. If you've never done sugaring, I highly recommend it. It's much less painful than waxing and lasts just as long. My 60-minute facial with Sadie was superb. She quickly assessed my skin, gave me a custom masque to address my personal skin issues, and did a thorough and impressive job. The staff are all very friendly and sweet. Love this place! I got the groupon back in November and have been seeing Sadie for Brazilian sugarings ever since. The space is modest but clean. Sadie is super personable, and makes what should be an awkward and painful experience pleasant (or at least, as pleasant as getting a Brazilian can be). She does a great job, and is very knowledable. I'm also just really amazed at how this place treats their clients. Their services are already competitively priced, but they also offer punch cards where the 10th service is free, and packages that make each Brazilian $10 less.
