Rachel is amazing. I got a much needed facial while being postpartum and was nearly in tears afterwards with how great I felt. I didn't know what to get initially so Rachel walked me through it with a full consultation and breakdown of what she would recommend as a professional. I love this place. The aesthetic is so relaxing and comfortable. The estheticians are really good at what they do. So I've never had my lashes done before and was pretty hesitant about the whole thing but Bria was SO kind and really took the time to understand what I wanted and walked me through the aftercare and upkeep. She also did an INCREDIBLE job on them- I have gotten so many compliments from strangers she is super meticulous about making sure the lashes look good and evenly spaced and genuinely cares that you like the finished product. I've been going to Christina for the past few years for waxing (Brazilian and brows), brow tint, and facials. I cannot recommend her enough. Her new studio is gorgeous- light, airy, clean, and beautifully done. I have sent all my friends to her and they all are absolutely hooked. I started seeing Christina for waxing over four years ago. At the time I lived on Capitol Hill and she worked at a salon that I could walk to from my apartment. She is a wonderful aesthetician, very efficient and thorough in her work. She is also a lovely person. Conversation with her is so easy that it almost felt like I was coming to visit and catch up with a friend...one who would coincidentally also rip the hair from my body. Fast forward a year and a half and I moved to the burbs, but I would still make the 45 minute drive to see her regularly. Fast forward 3 more years and now she has opened up her own spot! She is now even farther from where I live, but I will absolutely still be seeing her regularly. Her new studio is bright and airy and exceptionally clean. She has a room where she does waxing and a separate room where she does facials and other skin care. I had my normal waxing done, which was flawless, as usual. I also started seeing her for facials recently. Now let me tell you...I've had facials at other places. They slather nice smelling things and leave you looking shiny and clean, but they never have any lasting effects on me. From the first facial with Christina, I saw drastic and lasting improvement in the clarity of my skin. The extraction part is no fun with the tool she uses, but I am definitely a big fan of the end results. She is also an exclusive carrier of DMK skincare if you are in need of any product. I've already booked my next visit. Practical odds and ends: Scheduling (and rescheduling - sorry!) with her was a breeze. There is dedicated parking behind the building.
