This place needs more support and love from the community…read more Very good fish and chips. French fries very crunchy. Fresh flaky and moist cod fish fillet with super crunchy batter and to die for tartar sauce. Owners lady is very friendly. Setup and decor feels like an English Pub. Pretzel is piping hot and great pair with the cheese beer sauce. I will be back with the rest of my family members.

Located in the…read moregrowing Cumming City Center by the Ampitheatre, this is the place to go for a delicious mostly-authentic chippery. The full fish filet ends up being quite large, with the other food and sides would definitely be enough to sate two. We ordered the General's Platter for two which was a full fish filet, four jumbo shrimp/prawns, six hush puppies (definitely not English), and a choice of more commonwealth style Chips or American fries. Food was overall excellent, freshly made, with authentic batter and a pretty good tartare sauce. Also with classic lemon and malt vinegar to complete the look. Staff are extremely nice and accommodating; order at the counter and they will bring to you at the table, seat yourself. Also a bar for some draughts and drinks but it was lunchtime and nobody was partaking. Store is dressed up head to toe heaps of Brit ephemera and otherwise but is super casual! Sitting and eating next to Mr. Bean was fun. Parking available on the street but probably recommended to park in the structure behind. Only problem is the store was playing American music and not the Brit classics!

Blew Me Away Everything Was a Hit…read more This place absolutely blew me away. The atmosphere was amazing perfect dinner hangout or date spot. Great vibe without trying too hard. The food? Incredible across the board. I'm not even a big fish guy, but I got the fish and chips and loved it. That alone says a lot. Spinach dip loved it. Fish tacos loved them. Dessert loved it. Beer loved it. There's a ton of variety on the menu, and everything we tried delivered. That kind of consistency is rare. Service was over-the-top good. Attentive, friendly, and added to the whole experience. Price felt exactly right for a date night spot not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality. Couldn't be happier with this one. I'll absolutely be back. Overall: Easy 5/5 no hesitation.

Table for 2 for Lunch We were shopping in the area and did…read morea quick Internet search for lunch and found Wheelhouse Craft Pub and Kitchen. We had been in this part of Decatur many times and I never heard of it. We took the quick 5 minute ride over and I realized we had passed it many times. I think it had a different name last I noticed. As we approached I noticed the nice sized parking lot. A quick estimate, it could hold about 40 - 50 cars. I quickly found an open spot and walked over to the entrance. We entered and I could see the host walking toward us. He greeted us warmly, we let him know we were a party of 2 and preferred to sit outside. He informed us we could head out there and pick our own seat. We walked through the dark interior and headed outside using the side door. We found a table at the end of the patio near the front of the restaurant. There was plenty of outside seating on their patio and many of the tables were covered or had an umbrella. It was a little cooler than I expected so I ran back over to the car to pick up my jacket. I returned to the table and our friendly server came by and asked if we were ready to order. We were happy to see they had an extensive beer menu and I chose the Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA from Hi-Wire brewing and Wifey ordered the Harp Lager. For food, we kept it simple and decided to share the Pork Nachos appetizer. Our waters came out next, and then the beers came out soon after. As we were hanging around and enjoying the patio I noticed the place was very dog friendly. The Pork Nachos arrived and were excellent. It was not a huge portion, but the perfect size for what we were looking for. The chips were crispy and the pulled pork was seasoned well. All the ingredients worked well together. We would definitely recommend the nachos if you visit Wheelhouse. Overall, this was a very good experience during our 1st visit here and we will definitely return when in the area.

We ordered a family chicken meal, and a whole catfish & oyster combo which included a side and a can soda. We gave the special instructions to fry the fish and oysters soft & we chose corn nuggets as the side and added a side order of crab balls for the birthday guy. It took about 15 minutes for everything to be ready. The order was accurate although the items we requested to have fried soft could have been a tad bit softer. We were able to get our own condiments while waiting which included hot sauce cups, ketchup, tarter sauce and bbq sauce cups. The cashier gave us the soda (sprite) when picking up the food. Note: The family orders do not automatically include a drink & the drinks are about $3 if desired. Overall, the food was good & everyone was happy! I liked the chicken and thought the corn nuggets and crab balls were fresh and flavorful too. The fries were not my favorite on this visit. Dad loved his fried fish & had enough to save some for later.

The restaurant was recently rebranded and I was curious to see what was new. I stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. Seating was open at the time and Noah, who was both the bartender and our server, greeted us with water right away. I have never been impressed by a casual restaurant's menu design before, but The Pub at EAV truly stands out. It is well thought out and visually appealing. I had been eyeing the tom yum wings for a while and ordered them as an appetizer. They were flavorful and served hot. The restaurant also provides complimentary house made pickles, and they were genuinely good. For my drink, I tried the Sneaky Link cocktail. Noah added muddled strawberries because it was a fresh batch and needed a little balance. I would honestly recommend keeping the strawberries as part of the drink because it turned out delicious. For entrées, we ordered the Heck Fire Burger and chose to have the bread served shareable style. They bake their bread in house and it is so good that they could easily offer a bread service option on its own. We also tried the lamb shank which was tender and very well prepared. The only disappointment of the entire evening was the bread pudding. It was recommended with a lot of enthusiasm which made me excited to try it. I ordered it to go and reheated it at home. Unfortunately, it tasted freezer burnt and slightly cross contaminated, almost as if it had absorbed the flavor of another item nearby. I am not a picky eater, but I could only take a couple of bites. Overall, The Pub at EAV is a great addition to the neighborhood. The service was excellent, the food was exciting and creative, and I will definitely return to try more dishes.

The pub provided a bingo sheet for all of us to complete and I was able to enjoy some fish and chips while filling it in! The food was lovely and much above your average pub feast. The fish and chips were available in sharing or solo size. I went for the sharing to split with my guest and it was the perfect amount of food for both of us (with some appetizers before hand). We also went for the pickles and edamame. The pickles had a unique tang to them that any beer lover would love. The edamame was covered in a delicious chili garlic oil and had some crunch to each bite with the cilantro and dried spices on top. I would definitely come back here for the food alone. They do theme nights other than survivor so make sure to checkout their Instagram page to see if one of their watch party events is up your alley! Thanks to Sherry and the staff at EAV for a new fav Atl spot!
