They installed a brand new unit for us in September. That in & of itself was problematic. Never…read morereturned our calls or e-mails or came to do the 6 month check up in March. Last night, the fan stopped. None of their listed numbers worked. Went through their family member who is a friend to get ahold of them. Also made a public post on FB & tagged them. They removed the tag & blocked me, but the post is still public. When Ben (owner) called me, from a blocked number, he blamed google for the lack of phone number update. Also, refused a contact number, saying he will contact me on Monday & to have a good weekend. Says that the part is probably under warranty, & that's the reason that he can't even come look at it until Monday. It's now Saturday (our 2nd day without AC). So, I called Air On Time AC, who sent someone within the hour. The part was available & covered by our warranty (easily located by the new guy). We now don't have to swelter in this Texas heat & humidity with my health concerns & my young child for 2 more days for MQA to call back (hopefully) & attempt to fix the problem. I regret ever trusting this company based on the fact that they are extended family of a close friend. They have been nothing but difficult & uncooperative.

It wasted me two days waiting for him to respond. Be courteous to your client and just say you won't do it when you can't. Update: Lied about I wanted to pay him $75 only. He quoted $275 total for several repairs flat rate. I did offer him $50 extra for waiting time. He asked for $200 after I paid for the material, which I paid instantly. Then he claimed AFTER i posted the review saying he is waiting for an extra of $50. I thought $50 included in that $200 because the total original was $275 only flat, and he only finished one part of the job, and there are other remaining. Regardless what Mr. Burton is claiming, the fact is he is terrible at communicating the truth. You should not say "I am sorry Sean, I will come on Monday" if you did not plan to continue the job. Whatever you were not happy with, just say it out like a gentleman. I compensated you properly and have no regret. My other quote was only $100 for replacing the toilet, and I paid you $200, double the other quote, still gave you two days to follow up the job AFTER you apologized for not responding, then changed your mind and dropped the ball. Dropping the ball is totally okay, just say: "Sorry, i won't be able to help you", instead you are hiding behind your phone just ignoring the message, and chose to respond after posting the review. Bottom Line for customers: Be prepared to waste your time to start a project with him, because if he changed his mind, he will blaim it on you, and leave you hanging dry and high... Reducing my rating from 3 to 2.

I contacted Armadillo to put in a new A/C and got an appointment for first thing in the A.M. They arrived exactly to the minute they stated. A crew of 5 got started and laid out protective floor covering, others removed the old A/C, and before the house even heated up from the morning heat, the new A/C was in and working. I have never seen a group so well organized, and professional. After the work was done the crew got out a vacuum and started cleaning the work area!!! I've never seen a group like this. Amazing! A friend…read morerecommended him to me in November 2024 when I moved into my new (to me) townhome and needed an AC evaluation. Right away, I was impressed by his professionalism, extensive knowledge, and down-to-earth personality. His pricing was incredibly fair--coming in lower than two other estimates--and he never felt "salesy," so I hired him to install my new AC unit. True to his word, he even followed up in the spring to make sure everything was running perfectly. Since then, I have confidently recommended Michael to family, friends, and neighbors because I know he truly cares about his customers. In fact, he once went above and beyond by making service calls to both my grandmother's and my neighbor's homes on Mother's Day! That level of dedication is almost unheard of these days. This past Thursday, my system stopped cooling. The inside blower wasn't responding--a component we hadn't replaced during the initial install. Back in 2024, Michael honestly told me I could get more time out of that part rather than trying to upsell me, which I deeply appreciated. When I called him, he kept in touch throughout the day and arrived at 5:15 PM. Even though it was late and a miserable 87 degrees inside my house, he showed nothing but a willingness to help. I also learned that Michael handles his own installations rather than subbing them out, which speaks volumes about his work ethic. He left to grab the necessary part, came back, and worked for a few hours until our home was finally cooling again. Michael is a hardworking, incredibly knowledgeable guy who clearly loves what he does. I will continue to use only him for my AC needs and refer everyone to him. If I had to sum up Old Glory Mechanical, it's expert knowledge, fantastic communication, fair pricing, and an all-around wonderful human being.
