I want to thank Dr. Ali for being a great physical therapist, a great chiropractor, and an amazing doctor and person all around. I loved our conversations together and my neck has never felt better. My quality of life has definitely improved from where I was before to after our appointments together. For context, I used to wake up with neck pain every morning, to the point where going to bed was often painful even with the thinnest of pillows -- I often had to fall asleep on ice packs to get through the pain. I also had/have chronic migraines and was in a car accident prior to meeting Dr. Ali, so my neck and back were in rough shape. I also have been an athlete since I was 5, so I'm sure that didn't make it easy on her either! She was able to immediately diagnose some of the issues I had from built up wear and tear and start me on a program for recovery. She also made the whole process so easy with the insurance from the person who hit me. She took care of it all and I only had to worry about showing up to our appointments. I never had to worry about prices and sending forms back and forth with the insurance. Not having that additional stress with fighting insurance alone was super helpful. My quality of life has definitely improved after having Dr. Ali both as a physical therapist and a chiropractor -- it's not often we find someone capable of doing both in one appointment! She also would cater the care to my body's needs and how I was feeling. There were times where my neck was too sensitive for the typical chiropracty, but she had tools that made the process so much better -- decreasing my pain levels without adding to it. The tools she had were definitely a game changer. She would also change the procedures to fit my improvements or alter them for my needs at the time. I came in after going on a walk/hike started hurting my hips, and she was able to adjust them as well to relieve that pain too. She and I had great conversations where she would check in on me and remember things going on in my life and see how she could improve my conditions. She made me feel like I had her not only as a doctor, but also as a concerned friend. I really felt like she was doing her best to take care of me in every way. Dr. Tab is such a blessing! I have been seeing her for almost two and a half years. I started seeing her in early 2017 when I started focusing on training for my first Ironman 140.6 race. The adjustments and ART kept me healthy throughout intense training and set me up well for the race. I see her about once a month (we modify the frequency depending on training intensity and volume) and my body is so very thankful. Just recently I had injured my right trapezius and after seeing her for some ART it was like night and day when I woke the next morning. I was back to normal! I never felt like our session was rushed and she took the time to talk explain what she was doing, why she was doing it, and what the root causes of my pain were. After 5 years of constant shoulder pain and lack of mobility, I finally decided to seek alternative help when my orthopedic surgeon was no longer able to provide pain relief that was acceptable to me. During those 5 years, I had many, many x-rays and MRIs, all of them came back showing just a little bit of arthritis, but nothing to take into account the constant nagging pain, scapular dyskinesis, and shoulder clicking I was having. I had lots of physical therapy throughout this time period as well, and it only felt like it made everything worse. So when my orthopedic surgeon said the only thing he could do for me was to provide cortisone injections, I knew it was time to seek help somewhere else. That's when I found Dr. Ali. I am amazed at how quickly the constant nagging pain left and mobility returned. After the 1st session, I was able to workout with my trainer and move my arm and shoulder in ways that I haven't been able to for a long time. After only 3 sessions with Dr. Ali, I was able to do a complete arm circle (something I hadn't been able to do in years) with no pain and no shoulder clicking. Long overdue review. First day I went had severe lower left back pain from training jiujitsu. Dr. Ali diagnosed me thoroughly had me perform a bunch of Movements to make sure her pre diagnose was accurate. She went into details on what was going on. Showed me diagrams pictures books and a crash course in anatomy. She had a plan we stuck by it. Sure enough by the 7th session I was literally 100%. Actually after the first treatment I was good to train again. Folks, the key is really trusting her and sticking to the treatments and the work outs she gives to you. I cannot emphasize enough in really giving it the full treatment plan she recommends. Nothing gets better after a few treatments. I hate to write a bad review for Dr. Ali bc she is nice. I came to her for just a regular adjustment. I've been here twice and she could not adjust me fully. I even came back a second time to give her another shot. . Both times she was only able to adjust my neck and middle spine. I've never had any issues with other Chiropractors adjusting me. I've had problems in my rt foot, ankle, calf and knee off and on since I was 25. I tend to be a weekend warrior so enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, and scuba diving. I also workout regularly during the week so I can do my weekend activities without being too out of breath. I went to my podiatrist to have custom orthotics made but I kept having fatigued rt calf muscle and sore ankle while walking for the last 8 months. Podiatrist ruled out a clot in my leg and suggested seeing a PT because he thought it was a biomechanical issue. I was searching for a PT around the Long Beach area on Yelp and found Dr. Ali. I had never heard of ART but she had great reviews from people who had soft tissue problems. Although she is listed as a Chiro she practices ART and is also able to do PT as well. I started seeing her at the beginning of April 2015. She was good at explaining what ART is and thought she could help me with my leg problem. She said If I twisted my ankle several times then it probably healed with a lot of scar tissue and ART would help with that. So far I've had the initial consultation and 2 sessions of ART. After my 2nd session I went hiking up in Mt Baldy 10.2 miles with 3000' gain and I noticed I had better range of motion in my ankle and my calf pain was minimal. I also noticed that the bursitis near my knee in the pes anserine did not bother me on the downward descent. That is a major accomplishment considering that I was trying to still hike small hikes every other weekend even when I had the pain and hadn't seen Dr. Ali yet. I wouldn't say I was completely healed and will still see her for more sessions but I'm hoping my ability to walk without calf pain and hike without ankle pain continues to improve. Good: Easy to get appointment with Dr. Ali and she answers the phone herself. Flexible spending account reimburses for her services. I hope Dr. Ali's new location continues to thrive and she will be in the area for a long time. read more

I rolled my ankle playing basketball and after a few weeks, my ankle was still painful and had limited mobility. I found Dr. Ali on yelp and she is truly amazing! I started coming to Dr. Ali because my range of motion for my neck was getting worse, especially to the right side.  She pointed out where the scar tissue in my neck and back were (from trampoline accident 13 years ago) and how to improve it.  She adjusted me 2 times a week for 4 months and I saw drastic improvement. I would highly recommend Dr. Ali for anyone looking for progressive treatment and rehab. I found her to be knowledgeable, skilled and professional. I never had to wait when I showed up for appointments which is rare these days. ART therapy is awesome and makes a lot of sense when she explains what it does and why it gets results. I have been dealing with chronic lower back pain off and on for several years. When it would flare up (often when doing the simplest of things), I would experience 24/7 pain and limited mobility for weeks to months at a time. I have been to chiropractors, massage therapists and a sports medicine physician. I never received much relief and if I did, it was very slow to arrive. I never felt like anyone was really able to pinpoint my issue and didn't feel that they were trying that hard to address my specific issue. Because I had such frequent flare ups, I spent a lot of time online looking for causes and treatments. I actually came across the concept of ART online a few years ago, but because of where I was living at the time, it would have been a long drive to the nearest place, so I didn't follow through on it. What a mistake. Dr. Ali was able to pinpoint my problem and I had significant relief from the ART after my first visit. I knew at that point that I had found the right place, the source of my pain, and the right Doctor to treat it. After only 3-4 treatments, I no longer had the pain anymore. Dr. Ali moved me on to rehab exercises and I quickly learned what it means to work on the core. This core work was intense and challenging, but I have felt myself getting stronger and my back pain has not returned. Dr Ali is very skilled at instructing/monitoring technique and knows how to push you. Dr Ali has magic hands!!! Not exaggerating when I say this. Over the past 5 years I've seen numerous chiropractors about my chronic low back pain and tightness. Everyone does a hip/pelvic/spine adjustment which gives a temporary relief for a day or two but the tightness would never go away , and when I try to bend forward I'd have a bad spasm which puts me down for 2-3 days. After 3 visits to Dr Ali and the ART treatment (which actually looks so simple but highly effective) I am now able to bend forward without worrying about my tight low back muscles which I haven't done from god knows when. When I moved to SoCal from the the Bay Area in October of 2014, I asked my then chiropractor to give me a list of chiropractors who also practice ART in the area where I'm moving to. At the top of the list was Dr. Ali. I went to see her and since then I've been seeing her on a regular basis. Dr. Ali showed genuine concern and care about me and my condition. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Ali. I was sidelined from running for months due to an injury to my hamstring. After a month and a half of physical therapy, I had an MRI and discovered it was tendinopathy. More physical therapy followed and helped with my range of motion and the pain, but it was not until I began A.R.T. with Dr. Ali that I experienced the kind of results that allowed me get back to some serious training and actual running (not a hobbled limp that I was reduced to). With each visit, my range of motion increased and my pain diminished and I was finally able to reach a full stride. Dr. Ali is an avid runner and understood how badly I wanted to get back to my routine and the challenges I had with my injury. She explained how the scar tissue that builds up around injuries affects surrounding tissue, ligaments, muscles, etc and so needs to be broken down to regain effective use of the limb. That is what A.R.T. does. In addition, she gave me a number of exercise to do at home to facilitate my recovery.
