I'll be honest, I like variety. I vape daily like many others, and while I don't consider it a hobby, I do like my goodies. I have two tanks that I constantly swap out between dessert flavors and fruity ones. Finding juice that I enjoy is a hassle. I've tried many different kinds over the years and I have 7 or 8 bottles constantly being rotated, but I'm always on the lookout for new ones, especially if a shop mixes them in house (shoutout to Wise Vice real quick). Lone Star is not close by: I live on the north side, so it's a 30 minute haul to get there. Normally I wouldn't bother, but when I saw online their list of flavors they make (including such flavors as Mountain Dew, Root Beer, and even Pizza), I figured I'd give it a shot. When I walked in, the store was completely dead, only one employee in the front. She was super attentive and I wish I had gotten her name, but she greeted me as soon as I walked in. I explained I found the shop online and was interested in their variety. She then proceeded to point out their menu of juices and told me to pick out two of them and she would give me two of their small 10 mL bottles as free samples so I could try. I asked her recommendation and she mixes me up Health Potion and Creamy Cupcake. I walked back outside and sat in the truck before I cracked one open to smell and let me tell you, the creamy cupcake smelled exactly like a can of frosting. I immediately walked back in and asked her if I could buy three more bottles to have a wide variety before I came back: Mountain Dew, Root Beer, and Lemon Bar. Now at this time, one of the other employees (I assume) walked in on her day off and was mixing up her own concoction, so I waited while she was rung up, and when she left, I was informed that she paid for two of my bottles, which nearly made me cry because I was honestly having a bad day and that was my first experience of someone "paying it forward". Then, when I tried to pay for the last bottle, I signed up for their reward program (for free I might add) and because I was a first timer, I got the last bottle free as well. 5. Free. Bottles. I didn't even care how they tasted at that point, the service and vibes were easily worth a five star review. I got home and over the course of the next day, I tried 4 of the 5 bottles. Mountain Dew is great, citrusy but pretty sweet. Lemon Bar was my favorite of the ones I tried. Root Beer reminded me more of root beer flavored gummy candies, it wasn't bad but not for me. Health Potion was decidedly average in my opinion, tasted almost like red life savers, not a fan, but the juice was spot on. I wish it was a little closer, but even as it is, I'm already preparing to make a pick up order for the next time I'm close by to pick up that pizza flavored one. I'm sure it will be a harrowing ordeal, but I gotta do it. If you're looking for great service, great variety, and honestly just a good experience, you can't go wrong here. read more

It was during the heat of the beer-virus, and I mistakenly dropped my tank while changing the coil. Instantly shattered across my kitchen tile. What the hell was I to do when every shop in town is closed? I tell you what I did, I went straight to Lone Star Vaping, who got me a replacement tank, with zero contact! Tim was a great help, and not only did he replace my tank, he did it with a smile! I haven't had this kind of helpful customer service in a LONG time, and I thought it was an art long since dead. A person who is willing to help another person in dire straits, even at the risk of infection, is someone who is getting my business permanently. I will always come back to these guys because Jacob, Tim, & Michael are great at customer service. They will always go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. A few of my battery's had started losing the outside cover and they rewrapped them for me. If my tanks are dripping too much because I drop them "A Lot" they will use their tools and knowledge to make them work again! They took a few weeks of their free time in between customers to make me a specialty juice to go with my morning coffee. And they always make sure my coils are in stock! The people that work here are amazing!! I used disposables and thought I should just make the jump for a box mod kit. I had no clue what to look for, but they were very nice to walk me through all the differences between kits and juices. Within 10 minutes I was out the door with a box mod kit and some juices. I was a repeat customer at lone star vape.I up graded my vape to a digital one I spent 70.00 on just the battery it's self,I was told that it would last me a very long time.My battery display screen stopped working in 5 months I only use it on weekends. I took it in and the guy working there looks at it and tells me the battery is dead! So I ask him" I was told it would last a very time how can it be dead"? This place has the *best* juice in town. Period. Fight me. :P Seriously, though, I first tried this place out on a whim (drove by it on my way home from the store)...and was VERY surprised at the quality of their juices they have available. Spent my first couple trips going in trying all their different juice selections and talking with them about the best way to get the flavors I was looking for, and they quickly got me set up on a mix of a couple flavors (yes, they will make you a custom flavor by combining others if you ask)...and I've honestly been hooked on it since. The atmosphere is friendly and chill, and the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. I've talked over various tank designs, etc. with the staff, learned new things, and I absolutely love this place...to the extent that I now go here over any other vape store in town. Selection seems good - two stars for that. However, markup on some of their items are insane. They sell the RX200 for around $80. Average price online is $45 plus few bucks for USPS Priority shipping. I didn't bother asking pricing on other products. Might go back to check out their ejuices. They are a little high on prices as compared to other shops In the area. Also, I was looking for a vanilla tobacco flavored nic salt. The closest thing they had was Halo Tribeca. I know that it's listed as a vanilla custard tobacco but it ought to be listed as custard pine sol and sweaty dick. Tribeca might just be the worst nic salt ever made. If you want a great vanilla tobacco, try Saucy Los Angeles's vanilla nic salt. It tastes similar to the old Blu Vanilla pods, but much stronger. Anyway. This place just needs a bigger selection. read more

My go to vaping store, they've helped me out since I began vaping. This is not an Internet store, they have everything you will need at their shop. Endless flavors, mods, anything you need you will most likely find here. Their juices are made in house and you can choose how much nicotine you want, etc. they have all the batteries and chargers you need as well. The customer service is beyond excellent, you will be greeted as you enter and the staff love to joke around. They have free waters, sodas, wine and beer. Just visited Lone star Vape. I was amazed with the amount of mech mods they had compared to other local shops. Customer service was very good and everyone was very helpful. They even had a store dog hanging around. I walked out of there with a Igo-w rda and they threw in a wrap for my mvp too. The only thing I could complain about is that nothing had a price list on it. It felt weird having to ask the price of everything I was interested in. I may have bought a mech mod if not for that. I know they just moved to this location so maybe thats why nothing was listed. Over all the staff is pretty friendly... when they do choose to acknowledge you. They have plenty of gear a huge selection of drip tips, tube mods, regulated mods, unregulated mods and coil building equipment. They also offer a cold beer, cheap wine and bottled water while you shop around. Another cool thing is they make all their own eliquid. This being said the prices on some things are are flat out stupid I picked up a plume veil 26650 CLONE that was marked up stupid high for around 45 bucks or so. I went online and found the exact same clone from the same company for 12 dollars! Talk about a mark up. Anyway I learned my lesson. Now about their eliquid I've only tried it once but my experience with it was completely unsatisfying, I asked for Apple Jacks and paid for a 30 ml bottle of it. When I got home to try it out guess what NO FLAVOR AT ALL! I guess the guy forgot to do a major part of making eliquid like adding the damn flavor.
