They charged me the minimum usage fee despite the fact that my first cycle was only 6 days. This fee was 30% of my bill and more than I spent on electricity in the 6 days. I called and they refused to waive the fee saying it "wasn't their responsibility that I started mid-cycle". And hey, that's not strictly false, but a little goodwill with your customers can go a long way. Next time I guess I'll opt to pay a slightly higher rate to a company that actually cares about customer relationships.

Of course it was a busy time of year and I didn't notice as my next two bills shot up to 12.9 cents/kwh and then 15.9 cents/kwh. Not the easiest thing to catch at first when you're on a budget plan.
