The Bentley…read more Warning to Tenants: Deception and Broken Promises by The Bentley Company I would like to share my extremely negative experience with The Bentley complex in Dallas to warn others about the potential deception and disrespectful treatment by the management. I moved here from San Diego through the Zillow program, where the advertised rent was $795, with the promise of one free month for new tenants. Attracted by this offer, I applied and soon received approval. However, after receiving approval and paying the deposit, I was unpleasantly surprised: the rent suddenly increased to $925. I was told this was because I had signed a six-month lease instead of a year-long one. The issue is that no one informed me of this change before I signed the documents. This feels like a deliberate attempt to mislead me during a crucial financial decision. Additionally, before signing the lease, I repeatedly asked the agents about the free month, and over the phone from San Diego, they confirmed that my second month would be free. However, when I went to the office to sign the final documents, they told me that it would actually be the third month that would be free. I trusted their assurances. But after living here for 20 days, I went back to the office to discuss canceling my lease, only to find out that I was not entitled to any free month at all. The office staff provided me with contradictory information, demonstrating a complete lack of coordination within the company. In my view, this isn't just a mistake--it's a deliberate effort to mislead clients. Every agent says something different, leaving tenants confused and stuck with terms they didn't expect. I was also shocked by the state of the complex itself: the infrastructure is neglected, there's garbage everywhere, it smells bad, and the overall maintenance is terrible. One of the tenants I spoke with has been waiting for four months to get a wall in their apartment repaired, but no action has been taken. This proves that the company ignores its tenants' problems, leaving them in difficult and uncomfortable situations. All responses to negative reviews on Google are generic and offer no real solutions, which only confirms that they are not addressing complaints seriously. I strongly urge anyone considering renting at The Bentley to thoroughly review the terms and read reviews before signing a lease. This company creates the appearance of caring about its tenants, but in reality, it misleads them and fails to keep its promises. I have already scheduled an appointment with the management to address these issues, but be vigilant and cautious--do not allow yourselves to be exploited. The Bentley Company clearly violates basic principles of transparency and honesty in their operations. Their tactics are a classic example of how companies can manipulate people's expectations, leading them to sign leases under misleading terms, based on promises that are later broken. This practice sets a dangerous precedent and raises questions about the company's professionalism and ethical standards. Additionally, if anyone wishes to demand their rights from the company, feel free to contact me. Together, we can take legal action and ensure that the company stops engaging in fraudulent practices and deceiving people. Please reach out if you have experienced similar issues, so we can gather more tenants and file all necessary complaints in court. My number:6092102909

These could be made less hazardous with carpet in the apartments, but the floors are all hardwood. "Kitchen" sinks are so tiny it would be hard to wash anything in them. Water pressure in the showers is good, but it's way too strong in the kitchen sinks. There was a nice, well lighted community seating area on the 3rd floor that they walled in and made a chapel. Seems to me that if residents want chapel, they could use one of the meeting rooms. Apartment walls are the ugliest mud color imaginable. There are only two handicap parking spaces in the entire parking lot. Several spaces in the lot collect mud when it rains, and it takes weeks to dry out; it doesn't appear that anything is done to keep the spaces drained or cleaned. Not enough employees, particularly in food service. Friendly and interested office personnel have been replaced with ones who don't seem engaged or welcoming. Fines are assessed if you pay rent by check rather than by auto-pay. I've been told by poeple who should know that there are places that are much worse, but I would hate to experience them. There is only one elevator for the entire community, but I've never smelled urine in it.

She does not treat you like just a number or a quick commission, she genuinely cares and makes you feel valued as a client. Because of this, my review is longer than just given her a 10 out of 10. I would like you to understand what we went through and how she went above and beyond our expectations during these crazy times with the current real estate market. Moving to another state is never easy, especially from Alaska to Texas. With high hopes and great expiations, we took that leap of faith. After a month and a half of letdowns, we had to reevaluate our expectations. It felt like we as the client were doing all the work with our first realtor. Please do not get me wrong she was extremely nice and showing us houses via zoom, but it felt like we were having to sift through the mass emails of listings. The listings were not fine-tuned to what we wanted nor what we told our realtor, they were more like a price range. Finally, I flew down to Texas for the weekend to look at houses and possibly having a house built. I was able to get a true idea of what we needed but quickly found out all the roadblocks we were facing with waiting lists, completions date of new houses for 2022 & 2023, increased rent prices, and having to overbid by $20 to $40K just to get a seller to look at an offer. This is where I began to panic because the sale of our house in Alaska was set to close at the end of May and we had not been able to find a new house in Texas. My flight home was scheduled for the next day at 1pm and I felt like everything was falling apart. Our friends in Texas told us about their friend Kelly Romack that was in the realtor business. When I was introduced to Kelly, she was extremely friendly and outgoing, she listened to my current problems and gave me the name and number of Kim Bentley with Coldwell Banker. Kim called me that evening and I brought her up to speed on my current situation. I also gave her three listings that I was extremely interested in, even though I did not think I would get to see them with such short notice. Later that night she called me back and had all three showings set up for the next morning before I left to go back home. The next day I felt hopeful and nervous at the same time. All three houses were beautiful and close to what I was looking for. Kim's client service blew me out of the water because she had one more house to show me and hit all the checkmarks on my list. She gave me knowledgeable advice and suggestions for an offer on the house I fell in love with. After discussing it with my husband we placed our best offer that morning and I was notified that night as I landed in Alaska that the offer had been accepted. Kim's help did not stop with the purchase of our new house in Texas. We had some trouble with our realtor and appraisal for the sale of our house in Alaska that would have caused the purchase of our new house in Texas to fall through. Kim offered sound advice and even contacted my Alaska realtors to help make sure they were doing everything possible to make our promised close date. Once the sale of our house in Alaska and the purchase of our new home in Texas went through, Kim's outstanding client service did not stop there. While we were driving from AK to TX, Kim helped coordinate setting up our utilities, minor repairs, and cleaning service for our house. She also checked on our progress with the long drive and made sure we were doing ok for the entire 4,200-mile drive. Once we made it to our new home Kim had a welcome basket waiting for us on our new kitchen counter. As we settled into our new home and the great state of Texas, Kim has continued to help us and is now considered a friend. In closing to this review please remember that client and customer service needs to be just as good as the product or company name. It is ok to set high standards if they are reasonable, ask questions, and make changes if one route is not working for you. If we did not, we would have never found our amazing realtor Kim Bentley at Coldwell Apex, Realtors, and our forever home.
