I don't know how many times I've complained to EVERY Hooters on the menus just being completely disgusting to look at and TOUCH! We love a good wing! And, that's exactly what we received during our visit. We arrived during the lunch hour. We were promptly seated. Long drive led to an immediate bathroom visit. It was clean and well stocked. We ordered bone-in and boneless chicken. The presentation matched the taste. It was seasoned well and obviously made to order. They were not stingy at all. We left with full bellies and to-go sacks. Our server was busy the entire time sitting and playing games with her friends, so we had to request items from other servers that happen to be passing by. I see this place has not changed for the better, one bit. Came in to pick up 2 slices of chocolate mousse cake and they ended up giving me what looked very much like 1 slice cut into 2 sloppy slices. We are very familiar with this cake and have even bought it by the whole. These slices come pre-cut, perfectly triangle but these were not. It is usually a hit or miss with this location but considering our party size I think our waitress did really well! I got to try there spicy garlic wings and they were delicious. Had there blue hooterades and those are tasty and definitely recommend drink wise! my daughter got there shrimp boil a lb worth but it honestly seemed like it was half. This was my first time experiencing an all you can eat on wings. My waitress Mercedes made it a great experience. The place was packed as you can imagine. The prices for this feast of a meal is on one of the pics I have attached. This is a great way to taste a variety of wings. I didn't give them a five star because I felt the wings were fried too long. I hope that is rectified by my next visit. Initially, there was a long wait to be seated due to one hostess serving a large party. After waiting to get on the waiting list for six minutes, someone from the bar area came over to assist. As is with 80% of restaraunts nowadays, the service is half-assed at best! Finding decent servers/hosts/etc... seems to be on the "endangered list". If your service was sh!t before the "scamdemic", you can damn sure bet it's gotten worse since CoVid I was greeted at the door after a small wait and asked if I'd like a booth. I said yes, and she pointed at the booths and said pick one. So, I came to the booths and the ones that weren't taken were dirty. Typical nowadays. I waited at least 5 minutes before one of the wannabe Instagram models finally came to ask if I needed anything. To her credit, she was sweet. So as much as I want to support this company since I lived in East Tampa for a few yrs and remember when it was so good, it is not that anymore. The wings are so small especially for the prices, the atmosphere is boring and the service is not even good. I sat at the bar on a very slow Monday and the restaurant was not busy, so I was expecting better I guess. The bartender has been on some live tiktok stream the whole time talking about trying to get more followers and shit and has just been absent minded and slow as molasses with service and brushing her hair while behind the bar. She is interacting with her phone more then the guests. She and other servers were not even aware that is is National Chicken Wing Day and that they were running a special. The restaurant is absolutely nasty from the floors, the walls and the restrooms. The manager has come into the bar area and even waved at her phone vs removing the issue. I hate to give bad reviews, but mynfoodnwas aweful. I rememberd Hooters from 10 yrs ago when the wings and shrimp was hot and fresh. Tiday's Hooters served fried shrimp SAUTEED lightly and the winds were iveely salted. Even the tea was bland and lacked a robust "tea" flavor. What happened to you guys. The wait staff wore dirty white tennis shoes. Trybeating looking at dirty shoes. I just took it to go and threw it directly the TRASH. $25 down the tube and Inhadn't eaten ALL DAY. I've given this place so many chances and I just can't anymore. There is always something wrong with the food and drinks. The Cole slaw is frozen, the sweet tea has a weird flavor sometimes, the wings rarely come out hot, the breading falls off of the fried shrimp... the staff is rude, if you try to send something back they cop and attitude... there was a long black hair in my step daughters burger, and they tried to send the same plate back. The layout looks different and looks newer than inside versus Houston. When you walk in you must wait to be seated. They have a few males working here as host to show your seat, which is cool. -non prejudice Upon seating he saw our table looked a bit "crummy" so he wiped it with a napkin. My friend asked to have the table sprayed before we eat. Nobody wants to eat on a dirty table who knows if the previous people have been drooling all over the table! Our angelic server Courtney gladly cleaned our table, and took our order. The wings came out I ordered a lemon pepper rub and it lacked flavor.. It's okay though my fries and wings were still served hot! During waiting for my wings I looked around and saw a chicken wing on the floor lol! Hooters appeared to be busy when we arrived, had a very short wait and seated quickly. Jeremy was very friendly and greeted us with a smile and took us to our table. Kiana, was our waitress for tonight, very pleasant and a bubbly personality. Took our drink order and returned quickly. My wife enjoys the Fried Pickles a lot, We ordered both 10 Boneless Wings and a side salad. The Fried Pickles and salads came out quickly, the wings took a bit. Our wings arrived very hot and fresh with big dipper fries. Kiana kept the glasses full never had to ask for a refill. Going downhill for sure. Shrimp and fish were ok at best, the fish and rings were greasy, the cook is not draining properly and just plating. Add 10 or so extra seconds to the drinking time. The coleslaw was almost dry and the wife said her curly fries tasted old, I am thinking freezer burned. The beer was barely cold. Our waitress Kat was seriously into the boy at the next table. So much so she didn't plate up forks or knives, brought the wife iced tea with no ice at all, but it was sent back because the tea had a bad flavor. She did come by several times which is good, but almost never smiled or talked loud enough to hear, unless she was talking to the boy, then I could almost hear her conversation. WTF, LOL. UPDATED: visited this Hooters last night during the middle of this COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing was present with only certain tables available to sit at however the only clean tables were the ones that you were not allowed to sit at! I would expect during this crisis that at a minimum the tables would be spotless from cleaning. So, I am sure that my friends are all aware that I'm a huge Hooters fan - I'm not huge, nor do I mean to imply I'm a fan of...well, I will just say that my fandom of the restaurant named Hooters is STRONG. We'll leave it there. Proof below. We fans know that Hooters is franchised, and they have some leeway to choose some of the products they sell from a selection of vendors. For instance, a few years ago, they switched ranch and blue cheese dressings to a vendor's version with a more gummy/less real dairy, mouth feel. It was a huge disappointment for me because that was one of the main reasons I enjoyed their wings - the blue cheese dressing (REALLY)! By the by, they have changed sauces (you can still get the old Bentley, it's just now 911 - and still really NOT HOT). Imagine my horror when we went to the Hooters Mesquite and got some curly fries with jalapeño cheese sauce which had no salt on the fries and the cheese sauce had a no flavor, watery consistency. The waitress, had already gotten under my skin when, upon my ripping apart the pages in the menu which were stuck together (no idea with what substance) causing the menu items to not be fully visible, I asked in what quantities the wings were available (6, 10, 15, 20, etc.). She pointed to the menu and said "it says them, there". Nevertheless, I persisted. "Had they changed the cheese sauce?", I asked. She insisted that no, they hadn't. When I explained the issue, she said "I could bring you another, but it will just be the same ". She also called me "ma'am" (I mean...whatever). So, as we were paying, the manager came over and asked if everything was okay. I explained that the cheese sauce didn't taste right and she said "oh, yeah, we changed that about a month ago. A lot of people are complaining. We now have a queso* do you want to try a little for next time?". I said no since we were about to leave, and she said, hold on, I want you to try it. She left and the original waitress came over and said "did she say they changed it?". I said yes and she said "I just started like, 2 months ago, so I wouldn't have known". Sigh. The manager then appeared with a perfectly crisp, hot, and salted order of curly fries with queso, and it was delicious...but, we were full. So we took most of it home, where it will become soggy. We appreciated the gesture, though Moral of the story? Order the curly fries with queso, NOT jalapeño cheese sauce (but really, Hooters, why have both?). Also, don't get your Hooters fix in Mesquite, even if it IS the closest, unless you like icky, sticky menus, bad cheese sauce options, and clueless staff (She did ask if I wanted a to go cup for the water, though. I'm sure that the sea turtles were happy about the extra plastic straw ‍) . . . . . * foot note - for my friends in non United States countries, "queso" refers to "Chile con queso" which has chiles and tomatoes melted into a processed cheese-like product with some milk to make a delicious sauce into which you can dip your fried tortillas - we understand that it simply means "cheese" in places other than the southwestern US and probably sounds disgusting. This is more of a 'thank you' than a review. All the Hooters in my area shut down last year. I just happened to be traveling and stayed at a hotel in Mesquite, TX (actually in the same business park). Most of the other restaurants were closed for the night. Hooters was open and I was able to get my fav smoked wings, waffle fries, and beer on tap. I can understand why some people leave bad reviews. Depending on what was ordered, I've had both good and not-so-good experiences at various locations in AZ, NV, and CA. Ever since I started eating their smoked wings it's been all good. Fries were half cooked but cold, the wings were stale and tasted like they refried some old chicken instead of making it fresh to order, and the salad had rotted lettuce and onions.
