Just a bit out of town, but well worth it. Long Draw Pizza is not Pizza Hut. That is a great compliment since our only choice where we live is the Hut; and it stinks. Long Draw is the best pizza I've had in a long time. The place is buzzing and the staff over worked. Have some patience. The wait is worth it. Staff was friendly. The pizza great. My kid is a picky eater and she gobbled her 7 in. pizza right up. Split a 16 in. With my husband--pizza was very good and the ambiance makes you feel like a local even if you're just visiting. Didn't realize they closed at 9 pm and arrived just before and were still served (thank you!). read more

When it comes to restaurant, Terlingua does not offer much so it's easy for restaurants to get super busy with 1+ hour wait. This was the case with Starlight Saloon. Because we didn't want to wait, my friends and I found ourselves going to Long Draw Pizza instead. From the outside, the restaurant is dark, super dark, and looks almost abandoned. However, don't be fooled by its exterior, because Nancy, the owner, is friendly and welcoming, and her pizzas do not disappoint...so we came here twice for dinner. The prices here are inexpensive and for $2 you can get yourself a beer, which is mind blowing -- and for $7, you can get a PITCHER of Shiner Bock -- even more mind blowing. The pizzas come in 3 sizes - small, medium and large. You can do half-half which is what we did. I enjoyed all the pizzas we ordered so I'm sure you can't get go wrong with any of them! read more

Long Draw is definitely a joint with no address in Terlingua. We read great reviews on yelp and TripAdvisor and decided to go here around 8 PM yesterday (a Sunday). The restaurant is only open Wednesday-Sunday from 5-9 PM. In the entire region, it seems most places are closed Sunday-Tuesday, especially restaurants. We were relieved to find this place open on a Sunday night. We drove in from Lajitas and sat down. The server told us the restaurant was "STACKED AND RACKED" meaning a one hour wait for pizza. As long as we could sit and eat after the official closing time, we were willing to wait. Eric R. tried some local beers from Alpine's Big Bend Brewing Co. - the Hef and the Terlingua Gold. The server essentially turned away a group of 5 because of the wait after we ordered. Then it got weird...this young couple, college students on spring break, came in and looked lost. Then they played that they had ordered pizzas for pick up. The server did not ask them for a name or the order, but instead she read the order to them, something like, "Did you order the Cactus Jack no onions add jalapenos?" and the couple nodded, "Mm hmm." Then it seemed like they did not know it was cash only, and the girl asked where ATMs were in town. I heard the conversation about the bank and store. The guy had enough cash so they paid for the pizzas and left. It was not weird until a minute later a couple and 7 kids walked in to pick up THOSE 2 PIZZAS! The young couple had paid for but essentially stolen a group's dinner! It was so bizarre - we had never seen anything like that before. This couple had 5 kids plus 2 friends with them and they were en route from camping in Big Bend back to Alpine. The restaurant made their pizzas again immediately (which of course delayed ours even more, but we were sympathetic). The couple and the kids sat down and were given sodas and breadsticks while we discussed what we saw happened to them. We ended up chatting with them and eating our dinner as they ate theirs, getting some insider tips to the area and sharing stories about our trips to Big Bend. That local experience made it worth the wait (and the pizza was good)! I had the cactus jack (vegetarian) which came with a fresh jalapeno on top! This is definitely the place to stop in the area. Otherwise if you plan to hike, bring your own cold cuts (we drove ours in a cooler from El Paso) to make sandwiches. I hope you do not see someone else sneak away (but paying for) the meal of 9 people because they were too lazy to wait for a new order! That was crazy. read more

We're staying in Big Bend and there's no tv service to watch our team in the playoffs. We drove almost an hour and scored with a great place for game watching and pizza. 8 tvs inside, plus outdoor seating with more screens. This place isn't fancy but the staff all work together making sure all are served and fed readily. My wife and I stopped by Long Draw Pizza on our last night in Terlingua for our Big Bend adventure and can honestly say this is place is top 2 pizza place I've ever eaten! Everything about our "Rio Grand" pepperoni pizza was fantastic from the sauce to the cheese. Stopped in to grab a pizza to go and ended up dining in and having a couple of beers. The pizza was good and had plenty of toppings! The wings were rubbery and slimy, but the flavor of the Buffalo sauce was good. I think they were baked or air fired instead of deep fried so they weren't crispy at all. They opened at 5 and quickly filled up. The service was good and atmosphere was laid back. I'd go again if I was back in the area. read more

Who would think that the best pizza ever could be found in little ole Terlingua, TX, but that is exactly what you'll get at Long Draw. This place is awesome, and the owners and staff will make sure you have a great experience dining there. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas with a lot of TV's to watch your favorite game. There's also a new sky deck with awesome mountain views and beautiful sunsets. They have live music most nights featuring local artist that really know how to entertain. Umm, not open?? We tried to find this place. Yes, it was dark out but we couldn't find it (or anything resembling an open establishment). When we tried to call, we reached a canned answering machine. Best pizza in Terlingua. We really enjoyed the cheesy bread! The place is very small, so don't be surprised if you have to wait a little while for your pizza. We had the pepperoni pizza with black olives and it definitely hit the spot! It is worth a stop if you are really craving pizza. read more

A bit of a wait, but when I went there was only one person working, who I assume was the owner. Despite being overworked and handling a busy night all on her own, she was completely courteous and attentive to my drinks and everything. She's definitely one of the reasons to drop in as she's just a sweetheart. The pizza was okay. It was competently made, but nothing to write home about. Was it still worth the wait? Probably so, and it's about on par with most of surrounding area during Thanksgiving week. I liked that I had the option of a personal size, as I normally travel alone. I've definitely had better pizza. Very reasonable price point, as well. Overall, two adult beverages and a personal size pizza with two additional toppings ended up costing me around 13 dollars. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop. Be warned, hours are weird, as she's only open from Wednesday to Sunday after five. It's a welcome break from American and Tex Mex you'll find everywhere else. read more

Wonderful, made to order pizza. Fresh ingredients! Live music, great atmosphere. The "no cell phones" sign is still on the front door. The parking lot is surprisingly full on any given night and, as is the case for all of Terlingua, the people are varied and interesting. Extremely disappointed- pizza was burned. Bad thing we ordered the large so we could take half home to eat tomorrow -complete waste of $21.95 plus tax. We didn't complain as we met a friend we hadn't seen in a couple of years and didn't want to make a scene (hers wasn't burnt). They weren't busy and you could tell from the smell it was burnt- obviously they didn't care or didn't want to remake it. Had eaten there many times over the years with original owner and never got a burnt pizza. We will not be returning. Better bet is at Little Caesar in Alpine- much better and 1/2 the price. read more

I was part of a group of 4 who originally was going to go to the Starlight Theatre. However, with a two hour wait, we decided to look for somewhere else. This place just so happen to pop up on yelp - when we got there, there wasn't any sign up! We wouldn't have known if it was even open if it weren't for the one other truck. Inside, it was packed (for a small bar)! The bar was full and one other couple at the tables. We ordered split pizzas: medium Buckaroo and Six Shooter, and large Cactus Jack and Special Big Bend. All great pizzas!! With those, two sodas and one beer, the total came to less than $40. Crazy! Only con was the wait - 1 hour - but that's okay for us! We were able to talk to the locals and Nancy (the owner). She was a one woman staff that night, so we were impressed. Made every pizza right at order, served all drinks. Excellent pizza in a very rustic setting - tiny (basically a large mobile home) - order cold beer immediately: each pizza is made to order by the one employee/owner - you can create your own or select from a surprisingly wide variety of preconfigured selections - the dough, sauce, and toppings were all excellent - interestingly, there is a large hand-made sign on the front door saying "no cell phones" - seating is communal (2 very long tables) so be prepared to meet some of the eclectic Terlingua locals read more

Nice little place in the desert. Not a lot of food options in town, but this is one I was pretty happy with. Simple, straight foward pizza. I say this not to be insulting, but to be as accurate as possible. It's somewhat similar in style to a Totinos pizza. There's no exposed crust, it's toppings and cheese all the way to the edge. As far as ranking it on the Terlingua scale (5 being good, 1 being so terrible it makes you want to drive 80 miles to Alpine to get a decent meal) I give it a 4. read more
