She had me fitted for a top-of-the-line hearing aid brand and met with me several times to ensure the hearing aids were working correctly. During the first few months, I was having problems with the hearing aids (they were a brand new product) and she patiently worked with me and the hearing aid company to ensure that I had the perfect hearing aids. When I had problems with the hearing aids again a year later, she worked well with me again to get them fixed. I am very thankful for all the hard work she has put into my experience (as well as the few battery samples she's shared with me) and will be staying with her as long as I can. (As for the troubling hearing aids? None of it was her fault -- it was all on the company. She did what she could.) I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an audiologist. I also love that this is a private practice and the people working at the front desk always remember me!

What was upsetting was the procedure obviously set up by the parent organization--Northland Hearing Centers, Inc. After the hearing test & discussion of the appropriate hearing aids we were were handed a bill & told that we had to submit payment on the spot. After we got home, checked the invoice, & did some research, we found that we had been charged extra for the 3 year warrantee, which was included by the manufacturer with the purchase; an additional "enhanced protection" was also added. BE SURE to check the invoice--there something dishonest going on there.

Nice enough for me, they're only like two miles away - awesome. They're located right across from Sunset Foods in Long Grove. (Route 83 & Robert Parker Coffin Road) in a professional building. They were able to get me scheduled - sent me to their website to find the new patient paperwork, so i could get that filled out in advance. Seems like the Long Grove office is the smaller of their two (?) locations. Waiting room is small. They took me back fairly quickly, i think i waited less than ten minutes. Doctor came in pretty quickly. He took a look, gave his recommendations etc. Even though he didn't spend a whole lot of time with me, he seemed to know what he was doing and what he was looking for. He was pleasant. Wanted me to go to their other location for the next visit since they have their medical equipment there. So for my 2nd visit, i went to the other office in Highland Park. They did a CT scan right there in the office and he was able to review it real-time, which was great! No need to wait for someone to read it and get back to you. This office was much bigger - nice big waiting room with beautiful fish tank. The waiting room was quite busy - they definitely seem to have a large patient base. Overall i was happy with the treatment i received and the doctor was nice. I trusted his opinion of the situation and felt his office was able to get me in when i needed. So yes, i would recommend them to others.

Simply running the eligibility in their system would says if it is out of network or not. Just plain incompetency. He pays attention to details, remembers (or takes notes) on personal conversation, and has a good bedside manner. He tends to give standard treatments for diagnoses, but this is adequate for the little I've needed. He would get 4-5 stars. The office was once very responsive, but now that it is part of Advocate, is tedious and far from responsive. It takes two weeks to get anything by mail - prescriptions or results. This seems to be that mail has to go through some kind of corporate mail room. It makes no sense, but has been consistent, and has been an issue at least the past two years with no resolution. The billing seems awkward, though in the end, fair. The facility does have most of what one would need, including ACL for blood work, on premises.

I was out of work for over 6 weeks and in agonizing pain due to the multiple misdiagnosis including sending me to a surgeon to have major surgery. Needless to say I never needed the surgery. A lay person would have had more common sense then the treatment plan they laid out for me. I had to keep going back because I was on an HMO plan and they were handling my disability claim at the time. I am so glad I followed my instincts and insisted they send me to a specialist, who finally diagnosed my condition, which by the way was all due to the medication the PA prescribed. I highly considered filling a law suit. In my opinion their was malpractice and a lack of training which resulted in unnecessary pain and suffering which could have been avoided.This experience left me scared and financially vulnerable. I hope to find a practice I can trust again.
