SAFETY SCAM ALERT My biggest concern with East Hills Subaru…read moreof Sayville is SAFETY. I brought my vehicle in for an active passenger seatbelt/SRS airbag issue. After paying for work on this safety system, I left with the same problem unresolved, including the constant seatbelt chime and an SRS system that may not operate properly in a collision. I had already received a professional diagnosis using factory-standard diagnostic equipment and provided East Hills with the fault codes. They wanted another $300 diagnostic fee, which I declined. I paid East Hills to perform the complete work and applicable Subaru factory procedures associated with replacing the seatbelt receptacle--not simply install a part and clear a code. Most concerning, their own technician states in the service video that replacing the receptacle DID NOT resolve the problem. The technician does not mention performing the applicable SRS/occupant-detection re-zero calibration, and neither does my receipt. Yet the paperwork states the repair was completed to factory-standard satisfaction and that the vehicle was test-driven, despite the odometer not changing. When I asked for documentation confirming the re-zero calibration was performed, they could not provide it. The same warnings and fault codes remained, and I was told I would have to pay another $300 diagnostic fee, even if the issue involved the work I had just paid for. All I wanted was documentation showing the complete repair and applicable factory procedures were performed. Instead, my calls and emails eventually went unanswered. I paid for a safety-related repair, their own technician acknowledged the problem remained, and I still cannot get documentation confirming the questioned calibration was performed. Based on my experience, I would not trust East Hills Subaru of Sayville with another repair and will not return.

This was one of the most disappointing and disrespectful dealership experiences I have ever had,…read moreespecially from an official Ford dealer. Before contacting this dealership, I had already visited several other dealerships in person about trading in my vehicle. I received trade-in offers of more than $9,000, including approximately $9,600, from multiple dealerships, including Ford and Mercedes dealers. The only reason I had not purchased one of those vehicles was because I was dealing with a commercial insurance issue. I recently created an LLC and was trying to determine whether I could insure the vehicle commercially or personally. Then I found a van at this dealership that appeared to work perfectly for my situation because, based on its specifications, I could potentially insure it personally instead of dealing with the same commercial insurance problem. I called the dealership BEFORE driving there and explained everything very clearly. I told them that I was seriously interested in their van, that I had already received multiple trade-in offers above $9,000, and that I did not want to drive more than two hours just to have my time wasted. I even told them they could contact the other dealerships if they wanted to verify the offers. Once I arrived and they realized how interested I was in their vehicle, the entire situation changed. They offered me only around $6,000 for my trade-in -- thousands less than offers I had already received in person elsewhere. What made the experience even worse was being told that they supposedly could not sell my vehicle for more than around $9,000, while comparable vehicles were being advertised online for substantially more. From my perspective, it felt like they were using my strong interest in their van against me to justify an extremely low trade-in offer. That is exactly why I called ahead. I specifically explained my situation so neither side would waste hours of time. Instead, I drove more than two hours and walked away feeling that the conversation on the phone meant nothing once I arrived. A dealership is entitled to make whatever trade-in offer it wants, and I am entitled to decline it. My problem is the way the entire situation was handled and the enormous difference between what I had already been offered elsewhere and what happened after I made it obvious that I really wanted their vehicle. Having a huge dealership lot and a Ford sign does not automatically mean customers will be treated fairly or respectfully. My advice: **do your research, get multiple written trade-in quotes before visiting, take screenshots of advertised prices, and do not rely only on what you are told over the phone.** I would never make another two-hour trip to this dealership based on a phone conversation. Regarding the dealership's online reviews, some of the review activity also raised concerns for me because I noticed numerous reviews from accounts or names that appeared unfamiliar or relatively new. I cannot personally verify whether those reviews are legitimate, so customers should review the dealership's rating history for themselves and make their own judgment. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this dealership.

QUALITY PRE-OWNED MERCEDES - EXCELLENT SELECTION…read more Purchased a vehicle approx. 10 days ago. Below is my observations and insight. Vehicle:2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic Salesman: Alex Floor manager: Trish Business Mgr. Dave Other people I met while at the dealer: Kim (sales), Steve (sales) Researched on dealer website prior to visiting the store. Found that dealer had an EXCELLENT inventory of luxury pre owned vehicles. My first thought was, impressive for a "KIA" dealer. The website displayed 7 Mercedes vehicles that were currently available. Once I decided that the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic fit my wish list, I headed to the dealer. Arrival at the dealership. My first impression was, "very clean and well organized used car lot. I was able to find the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic immediately. It was EXACTLY as displayed on the website. Just to make certain that it was the best fit for me, out of the 7 available, I walked the used car lot and found them all. Although ALL 6 other were near MINT condition, I landed on the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic. Walking the LOT. While looking around for 20 minutes, I was surprised that I was not approached by a salesperson. Some buyers might find this acceptable, but I personally do Not. Since I was there to Definitely BUY the 2014 C350 Coupe 4Matic, I thought, Wow, this is going to be so easy for the sales person, whichever one greets me first. After walking the lot alone for 20 minutes, I decided to go inside. I utilized the door closest to the used car lot on the East side of the building. Once inside, I made eye contact with 3 people sitting at desks and then headed westward past a spinning "Free Trip" wheel, towards the second half of the showroom. The showroom is very well lit and super clean. The vehicles are displayed well. I was not "put off" by anything related to the facilities. "Can I help you", stated the lucky salesperson who is unknowingly going to write up a deal in the next few minutes. "My name is Alex". Alex is Brand new (2 weeks) in the business. Alex's attitude was excellent. He was super friendly and eager to do a good job. Knowing that it was hot outside, Alex immediately offered me a bottle of water. When he returned, he actually gave me 2 bottles. The experience with Alex could not have been better. I advised him early on that I wanted to pick up the car the next day and as long as the price was fair, we had a deal. My offer was lower that Alex could go, so he brought in Trish. Trish made a fair counter offer and also included some free oil changes, very nice. Was surprised to be informed that the service dept. has a hair and nail salon available, while you wait for your vehicle. Great idea!!! Picking up the vehicle the next day. Alex came in on his day off, I felt bad, but he insisted. The car was detailed to near perfection. Alex even filled up the gas tank himself. In conclusion. I was impressed with the selection of pre-owned vehicles as well as the look and feel of the dealership. Although brand new to the business, Alex was spot on where in counts. I can see Alex as someone who will be successful in whatever he chooses. I have already recommended Alex and GK to several family members and friends. I will personally be back, when my wife is ready to upgrade to a newer Mercedes. Reasons for 4 Star rating: Vehicle Price: Very fair for all parties Vehicle Condition: Excellent Dealer Fees: Slightly below avg. Sales: Excellent Management: Good F/I: Good Billing (paperwork): Very Good * Disclaimer: Although retired from the industry (2006), I have 20 years experience in various positions/stores, Sales, F/I, Service Mgr and Sales Manager

The price was reasonable but not great. I understand that a business has expenditures and overhead costs. My biggest issue is when you pay the asking price and the vehicle is nowhere near mechanically correct." I always attempt to get a test drive or do some type of research to avoid any headaches later. Thank goodness Mr. Avi doesn't need the stressor of buying a vehicle for resale that's going to come back and bite him later, so for that reason, he only purchases good-conditioned vehicles. I highly recommend this business and am looking forward to my next purchase.

After purchasing the vehicle, he told me the floats in the fuel tanks didn't really work; not the end of the world. Vehicle was delivered safely. It sat for about ten days before I could drive it. On EVERY drive, the truck turned off while driving, sometimes on the highway. I am familiar with 7.3s, so I suspected something was up with the oil or fuel pump. Brought to a specialty garage and sure enough, ***$2300 LATER*** my truck is running again. The fuel pump was completely shot. It NEVER drove more than 5 miles without turning off and was honestly dangerous. When I asked Avi to help make this right, he refused, offering no concession and telling me it was a good sale price. I wouldn't trust Avi or do business with him again. I would be happy to take down this review if he pays for half of my repair.
