He explained how a gravel driveway is engineered and carefully talked through the challenges of my space, which needed grading so that water wouldn't pool in the center. Ultimately, the work was finished well ahead of schedule, and it looks terrific. I know that if I have any questions or issues, I can call Eddie and he'll respond right away. The owner kept making…read moreexcuses about why he couldn't keep promises or plans, couldn't get the color correct although he stated "I wrote everything down" When I confronted him about not being happy he threatened me called me a "little boy" and he "wished he'd seen me outside" I spoke to the supplier, who stated he's done this more than once. I made a police report regarding his verbal threats to me and my mother. He continued saying "hang up the phone I'll kick your ass right now" when I hung up, he verbally continued to threaten physical harm but refused to speak or actually approach, idle threats. He's an absolute joke, nothing but a salesman with a bad attitude, every serious question we had was followed up with "I'm the best" "I've been in business for 20+ years" and a ridiculous display of photos from a book that weren't even close to what we were discussing. It was a hand selected proof of narcissistic display of his ego. James lost two jobs mine and my parents house and his exact words were "you think I give a fuck about these two" A clear indication of how he feels about "customers" If you read the plenty of one star reviews on both Google and Yelp, they have a consistent pattern of excuses, unkept promises and a poor attitude. If you check out all of my reviews you'll notice that when a business does right I'm quick to compliment and praise. My messages to the owner (James) and my patter of praise when deserved will solidify that I do not write reviews to hurt genuine businesses as James said I would do while threatening to physical assault me. My evidentiary proof and pattern of honest reviews will speak for themselves. I have never ever called the police on a business owners actions. This is certainly a first and should scream red flags to anyone considering work with James.

Price: Very fair The original call was answered promptly with a promise to send someone over for an estimate in 90 min. I received a call a bit later requesting permission to come a bit earlier - so courteous. We discussed what we wanted done and showed him the side fence which 2 other companies said we would need to remove. Glad we didn't. They never called or came back. LI Paving's Tom, told us they pave up to it on each side of the fence and tamp together. Tom told us how everything would go and we said anytime was good. He handed us a contract with all that was discussed fully written out and we each signed. NO PAYMENT REQUIRED UNTIL WORK DONE AND SATISFIED!! The following week, he called to ask if they could do it. Sure. They showed up Wed and dug everything up. The workers and family members work like clockwork. The belgian blocks went down beautifully. My neighbor came out to talk to Tom and immediately approved them doing hers also. They dug hers up next. The trucks were busy. The workers were busy and everyone knew their job so well. It was like watching an orchestra play. Tom and his son, Tom, worked the roller/pounder and the payloader. His son never thumped on the ground. It was so impressive. By the next evening, everything was beautifully done. We had a question the day after and he and a worker came and cut a bit off to extend our garden area. He and his sons have talent and a work ethic that can't be beat. Day 2 they were all outside at 6:30 am to clean the blocks and do whatever they were doing while I was sleeping, lol. At 8:00, the roller/pounder got going. I had done quite a bit of research after we spoke to the first 2 companies that we weren't comfortable with. Tom explained that it's all about having the right equipment, not leaving your driveway exposed for 2 weeks while you drive over the same spots. The entire driveway has to be graded and pounded equally. All my research bears that out. I almost wish I had more driveways for them to do :-))

My husband…read moredidn't feel comfortable giving him all of the money at once and Andrew assured him "if you have any problems, I'll come back personally and do whatever you need". What a lie. We haven't heard from him since, dispute leaving him multiple voicemails from both our phones and multiple text messages. Not even 3 years ago he did our driveway and we have a few holes in it, one being absolutely huge that we need to fix before the colder weather. Mind you, we gave this guy $10,000 to pave our driveway. Would never recommend them.
