The mistakes and poor workmanship are far tooo many to list here. They didn't even use polymeric sand as they were supposed to for the entire job. They did not lay a concrete foundation for the pavers, drilled holes for the pool ladder in the wrong spot requiring me to buy a new ladder, and there is much much more. My neighbor had recommended them but has now cut ties due to another job they screwed up. NOW, about 4 years later (the problems started at 1 year) I have to hire someone to power wash between my pavers, reset many of them and properly install the polymeric sand as should have been done at first. The pavers are tilting away from the walkway and the whole area that was not properly installed (most of it) needs to be re-done. Unless Corey has learned since doing my job how to do this work professionally, I would stay away from him. When confronted with the workmanship he was hostile to the point where he was intimidating and just stuck with the fact that he underestimated the cost. Now after all this time I have finally gotten the gumption to tell the story as it was. I have photos for proof of how he left the property. So, should you decide to use this firm, learn first about how it's supposed to be done and them watch and make certain they do it correctly.

We lined the larger driveway with a small retaining wall along my neighbors side. Everyone of his guys are cordial and they all seem to work like a well oiled machine. After having other companies to give estimates I'm so happy we decided on pure! Everything came out so perfectly we've already contracted with them for a new built in BBQ and firepit this spring. I can't wait to see how great it's gonna come out. I highly recommend the guys at pure to all of my friends and colleagues. Thank you Corey for fulfilling my family's expectations.

1 Star - Defective Work, No Contract, Avoided Responsibility…read moreI hired Long Island Mason & Concrete Corp in June 2024 to pour a concrete patio for $5,900. The experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The Problems: The contractor requested payment in cash and never provided a written contract, which is required by New York law for jobs over $500. Within one week of the pour, two slabs began flaking and scaling. I immediately contacted the contractor. The work was done on a 100-degree day. When I raised concerns about the extreme heat affecting the concrete, the contractor acknowledged "this is the result of extreme heat" but refused to take responsibility as the professional who should have managed weather conditions or rescheduled. Months of Delays: Instead of promptly addressing the defects, the contractor stalled for months. When he finally offered to replace the two damaged slabs, he demanded I sign a liability waiver and warned the new concrete wouldn't match the color of the existing slabs - meaning I'd have a permanently mismatched patio due to his defective work. I offered a reasonable cash settlement to resolve the issue. He refused. I had no choice but to file a complaint with Nassau County Consumer Affairs. Official Violations: Consumer Affairs cited the contractor for multiple violations, including failure to provide a written contract (violation 202360, originally a $2,500 fine). He only agreed to a settlement after facing thousands in fines and potential license suspension. Ongoing Defects: After settling, two additional slabs developed structural cracks running completely across the slabs from joint to joint. All four slabs now show defects, confirming my original concern that the entire pour was compromised. Bottom Line: For a $5,900 job, I received a defective patio that required a 7-month battle through Consumer Affairs to get partial compensation. The contractor operates without proper contracts, pours in extreme conditions without adequate precautions, and avoids responsibility when problems arise. I strongly recommend hiring a licensed contractor who provides written contracts, follows proper procedures, and stands behind their work. This is not that contractor.

I remember Sal coming over and recommending a landscape designer to see what was possible, this delayed the process but it was absolutely the right call. They were in the middle for pricing but sals local knowledge and no nonsense attitude were key factors for me. I got stacci confirmed and sal and his team got to work. The staff is top notch and did an amazing job, not just for the main driveway expansion job, but also with reconfiguring my steps (towards the top) to be wider and more welcoming (which I didn't even have specs for!). Sal is full of good ideas and executes beyond expectations, he has a critical eye and will have his guys redo it if he doesn't like it. I highly recommend Stasi and can see why others do as well. After I had updated the review of the work that was…read moredone to my home Yesterday I noticed that the concrete the Stasi Brothers did, was cracked. I called and spoke to Erin and Kelly about the issue and they sent Sal to look at the crack. To my surprise all the nice things I said about Sal went out the window when he rudely said 'cant do anything, let me me know when it gets bigger'. Everything I googled on cracks in Cement state "if it's a headline crack it can be fixed easily and Not to wait till it gets larger" ...more or larger cracks are more difficult to repair" and more costly. I know that this was not the Sal I knew. He sounded more like his uncle Joe, arrogant and disrespectful. In the mean time Joe, do the right thing and let YOUR workers come and seal the crack. This is your fault. I told Sal when they poured the cement that the root of the tree needed to be cut out but you and your men said it didn't matter. I only redid the block of cement because they were lifting a little. The old cement was there for 30 years and had NO cracks. Just a little lift at seam. You are a business you need to take care of your customers. Btw sand that was put between nicklock pavers is still missing and you charged me over 11,000 for the work that has overspilled cement on pavers. I didn't even complain about that last October. If you want me to update this review I recommend that Joe tells Sal to fix this issue.
