I am shocked to have to give this company a bad review because the first occasion I met the owner of this company, Andrew Netusil, I thought a lot of him. That was in November, 2020. Andrew repaired a wall clock for my rescue organization and didn't even charge us. Very soon thereafter I contacted him about a couple personal items that needed repair for which, of course, I would pay his regular fee, whatever that would be. In late November, 2020 I entrusted a beloved Becker alarm clock to him for repair. A piece had come out (which I had saved) and he assured me that he would be able to repair it. It is now THIRTEEN MONTHS LATER. Neither Andrew nor my clock are anywhere to be found. In the past year I have called, texted and emailed a dozen times. Andrew has not bothered to respond in any way at any time. Nine months into the wait, I finally told him I just wanted the clock back - unrepaired, as I'd given it to him - I didn't care - I found another clock repair person who would do the job. I just wanted my clock back. I thought possibly Andrew might have suffered and/or died from Covid and hesitated to take my grievance public. However, he is posting nearly every day on his Facebook page and I see here that someone gave him a rave review just a month or so ago. Therefore, Andrew clearly is alive and well and operating his company. He just hasn't bothered to repair my little clock nor return it to me! Disgraceful. read more

He came highly recommended to us by Scully & Scully (a New York City shop selling luxury home furnishings & clocks). Andrew personally undertook the complex task of moving our family's heirloom grandfather clock across the country this past summer. In preparation for the move, he took the utmost care to ensure the clock made the journey intact (removing the weights and pendulum and individually wrapping them; securing the chime bars with a blanket; and wrapping the outside to protect the wood cabinet from scratches). Throughout the journey, he kept us apprised of his status. Upon arrival, he set up the clock and ensured that it was working beautifully. He provided detailed instructions for operating the clock as well as caring for the wood exterior. He even presented us the original manufacturer's brochure and appraised the clock at our request. What a disgrace the owner of this store is. I called looking fur help for a clock repair, gave him a little history about the clock and told him it was purchased on line. He proceeded to lecture me how buying online didn't support local merchants and did not show loyalty. He then proceeded to tell me that his customers are taken care of first, then my repair would take place. I think that someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Good luck with them, but no worries, they will be moving out of state in October. Don't let the toll hit you on the way out. Terrible way to run a business. Reply to your comment 8/1/17 I think that your facts are a bit off, I was questioning you about having enough time to repair the clock because you said that you were moving to Pennsylvania....that was my concern. I NEVER questioned your ability to repair the clock. You then went into a rant about since I bought online, you would not give my clock the attention, it would be second to someone who purchased from you and was a customer....but I ask you now, if I had brought that clock in for repair, doesn't that now qualify me as being a customer of yours? Even in your repetitive rant back to me, you stated that "your" customer would be treated first. I understand that if you were working on a clock, and someone needed help, you would put down my clock and help any customer in your store. You really flew off the handle Andres by lecturing to me about not supporting local merchants and that my job would not have had as much importance than a job from one of your "customers". Please keep your facts correct and don't ramble. As per some of your comments in your reply: 1. You never said that you were moving to a large location, you said that you were moving out of state. 2. you never said anything about first come first serve (That would be totally understandable in terms of running a business) and.......wouldn't that mean that my clock should have gotten the attention no matter if I was a client or not. You seem to contradict yourself here. 3. I NEVER even gave an impression that because I paid a lot for my clock, that this warrants me to be pushed to the front of the line....how absurd. 4. your comments about your repairs on an 8000 or 20000 click have nothing to do with our situation, so stop trying to impress with words, impress with actions. You method of customer relations was totally out of line here. I have been on yelp for many years and always am very generous with my ratings and comments. I very rarely have to give a negative comment, but will when it is deserved. the way you spoke to me that day was totally out of line. So tomorrow I will bring my clock to you for repair, and lets see if we can work together to get this fixed, but I will need you to acknowledge with a reply, then I will come down to your store. A few years ago when the life of a couple of my clocks started coming to an end, I decided I wanted to replace them with furniture-quality, high end clock movements like the ones I'd seen in Germany. I realized I was not just talking to some "web master," online or by phone, but actually the owner, Andrew Netusil (and occasionally his wife), who have a long family history with this company (also known as Netusil Jewelers ... as they started off as jewelers generations ago). Now several years and 8 wonderful clocks later (one is currently under construction at Keininger in the Black Forest, Germany), I know that I get the best advice (and clock opinions, if I ask), the best price, free shipping and beautiful, carefully packed clocks quickly dispatched, (unless a special order ... takes just a little longer) each time I select and purchase another one. I even have a windup clock from them I take along when I run a Red Cross Hurricane Shelter. Perfect. Andrew and his wife and staff are like the neighbors and jewelry next door. And my clocks are perfect, to include my favorite: a Comitte Grandfather clock they had made for me in London - mahogany, hand-painted "rocking-ship dial," shipped flawlessly (with Andrew's personal inspection) all the way from London. Wow! Amazed to see this online. I ordered a Curio Cabinet via Andrew and Howard Millers White Glove Service never delivered. I called Andrew after a month and he found that they were waiting to find a truck going to my remote location. So what did Andrew do about it..he had it delivered to him and then drove it in his van for eight hours to my home in the Western Maine Mountains. I have never seen anyone respond to a customer with this type of care. Impressive! read more
