Quality work and I have had no problems since they repaired my driveshaft universal joints

Had my rear diff re-geared at a race car shop, it was noisy on decel, so noisy that you had to yell to each other . So another friend had came for a ride to a car show and was like WTH!!! who did this and, you need to go see the guy who fixed my truck. Hesitantly I gave a call, after hearing all the possibilities of what's causing it explained in detail I brought it over to him. The car was making this noise for about 7 months , he explained depending how it looks once he sees it he can get it quiet without a new gear . The next day I get a call that it's done and the price was for bearings and to reset the gear, he was able to save the gear. I pick it up the next day and he told me how the gear looked and that the set up was off by .020 , I took the car and now I can hear my passengers thinking lol . Ed from J&J truck repair Brought in a freight liner driveshaft to Marty. He's a great guy. Had an issue with a hangar bearing that was pressed on. He had it in and out and ready to go the same day, and only a few hours later. Top notch service, helped me out when I was in a jam. Had my BMW 2004 X3 driveshaft rebuilt. I feels like I'm driving a new car. Absolutely amazing. Marty is a true professional. he posted the work he did on my car on instagram. Who does that? If you have any driveline problems you are crazy to go anywhere else.ESPECIALLY if you drive a BMW. Marty was less then 1/3 the price of others. My 1970 Mustang Mach1 had a vibration at 60 plus MPH. I decided to remove and inspect my driveshaft and universal joints. The local auto parts store couldn't match up the universal joint on the slip yoke stating it wasn't stock, possibly modified by the previous owner. He suggested Long Island Driveshaft. I brought the driveshaft to L I Driveshaft and showed it to Marty, the owner. He immediately recognized the modification and took the time to explain it to me. He recommended to replace the front joint and to rebalance the driveshaft. Two days later, Marty called to say my driveshaft was ready to be picked up. My 45 year old driveshaft looked brand new! It was cleaned and freshly painted black, with both universal joints and the slip yoke painted red. The next day I re-installed the driveshaft and took my Mach1 for a test drive. I brought it up to highway speed and the vibration was completely gone! I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of work done by Marty, as well as his mechanical knowledge. Marty is a fraud. Claims to be Long Island Driveshaft but is not. The real Long island Driveshaft is in Islandia. Unfortunately, I didn't find this out until it was too late. He already screwed me over with an over priced and garbage driveshaft for my toyota tacoma. When the driveshaft was vibrating broke and broke shortly after he made it; i brought it back to him to fix and he told me to fuck off not his problem. Luckily i found the real Long island Driveshaft in Islandia after doing my research and talking to multiple people who said that Marty did the same thing to them. The shop in Islandia is East Coast Driveline. They are professional, fair priced, and have a quick turnaround. New shaft was made within 48 hours and haven't had a problem since. This place is terrible!!! I brought my 2016 ram 2500 to be regeared reccomended by nitro gear directly out in California. So i spoke with marty and Took my truck in to have the work done. He was a good talker and I thought he knew his stuff. Turns out I thought wrong. He said he would only have the truck two days. A week goes by and I call him as he didnt even have the courtesy to call me to let me know what was going on. Supposedly he broke a tool is what he told me and he would have it by monday and it should be done by tuesday. So i waited. He calls me and told me its good to go and if I can come to pick it up early as it was the 4th of july. So I show up around 8 o clock. I called him 15 minutes in advance because he told me to just give a 15 minute heads up that im at the shop. No answer!! So he finally shows up and said its all good except I didnt take it for the initial ride to break in the gears. So I said no big deal. Then he caught me off guard as i wanted the original parts which he pushed me out the door in a hurry and I forgot to persue to get. As soon as I started driving it the rear end was whirling, roaring, and screaming like something was terribly wrong and could even be felt in the floor. My front end was screeching like nails on a chalkboard. I got home and discovered my emergency brake cable was damaged and forced up against my exhaust which caused the casing to melt and my front left brake dust shield was dented badly into my rotor which gouged my rotor and brake pads and also missing the hardware that held on my abs bracket which was attached to the rear end which i have pictures of. I straightened it out and I drove it and changed the fluid at 500 miles as reccomended and the 2 30 minute drives under 50mph 1 hour cool down period. I brought the truck to a local old timer machine shop that works on rear ends, transmissions, and classic car restorations to have a second opinion because of the fact that marty told me the incredibly loud gear noise was normal and would lessen with mileage. My local shop discovers that the pinion bearing was so tight it couldnt be turned by hand and the backlash was nowhere close to being in spec which was the installers fault I have all of the evidence of the work he did. He also stated that the noise is now permanent and that resetting the pinion depth will not lessen the noise and said once it wears a pattern. Thats it and it will never go away. So my only option was to have a new set of gears installed a for second time. Long story short my local shop did a phenomenal job and is whisper quiet and he actually gave me dana spicer gears like this guy claimed in the begining that he was going to be using aam gears and ended up installing nitro which would have been fine if he installed correctly. YOU caused me nothing but stress, money, and aggravation. Long story short dont make the same mistake i did and listen to who other people recommend. read more
