The new store is amazing but how can you have Long John Silvers with generic trash tartar sauce. I'll drive to Selinsgrove for this one time a month meal. Drive thru order. When I got home I was shocked to see how small the fish portions were in each order. I purchased 2 fish dinners with sides and an add a fish for each meal . The portions were so thin and much smaller than what they were. For $30.00 I would have expected to receive portions that were not so small and thin. read more

We were excited to go to the newly rebuilt John . It was a disappointment the fries were cold. I had two pieces of fish and the one was hot. The other one was cold. There were no straws at the drink counter. The trash cans were literally overflowing that you couldn't put any more them. It was falling out on the floor. Let's go longjohns. This place just totally missed the mark. Took some time waiting at the drive through which is no big deal. But the issue is when I do not get what I ordered and when I pay extra for an add on and that is also missing. So with the seafood sampler and an extra piece of fish. 1st and last time back to the "new" Long John Silver's. I specifically asked if they would please ensure the fries were hot and when my food came the fries and hush puppies were barely warm. I went to the counter, told Dave C, the crew member, he apologized and asked for 3 minutes, they would make me more. They did come out and they were hot, as they should have been in the first place. Now they have tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, etc... in pre-packaged packs and they are gross. I am not a picky eater, I can eat most anything, but the tartar sauce is really yucky. The crew member Dave C was very nice and polite, but I don't believe he passed on my asking for hot fries. Also, now they only have waffle fries and are not at all good. The "regular" fries they had before were good although almost never hot, hence the reason I asked specifically if Dave C would make sure the fries were hot. The chairs were sticky and gross, most tables were dirty therefore only a few choices of places to sit and the place was NOT busy, so why wasn't someone cleaning the place up? This place has gone down in quality since the last time I visited. The food is ok, but it is covered in grease, and it hurts my stomach. I do like the hush puppies and the service is average for a fast-food place. It doesn't get much service and they really don't advertise. This was, by far, the worst trip to long John silvers I have ever made. I'm not sure how long my fish, fries, and hush puppies had been sitting around, but everything was room temperature. One piece of fish was inedible. I agree it was 5 PM so not the greatest for expecting hot and fresh through the drive through window but this really sucks. Through the DoorDash app I ordered the 2 piece chicken combo. I received the 2 piece fish and no napkins. My meal was the only food on the order. The restaurant was empty. There's no reason for this order to be wrong and incomplete. read more

Long John Silvers in Willamsport Pennsylvania - Had the new Ciabatta Jack Fish Sandwich.The zesty tartar sauce made the sandwich. Most delighting though was the friendliness of the staff, Carmen the newly promoted restaurant manager and her associates were very friendly and do a fabulous job. I saw Carmen taking care of a customer who received the wrong order. She handled it with grace and the customer was very pleased. The restaurant is very clean. They had some fluorescent light bulbs out directly over the counter-but overall the place is clean but of course it was aged being an older restaurant. read more

To be honest, I don't really like their food, fired fish, not my type. I went there was just because my hubby liked to go, he was a fan of fried fish of Long John Silver. So I don't want to say too much about food, I think it just tastes like all other Long John Silvers, greasy and greasy. Not just the food, the whole dinning area looks greasy and greasy too. Gross. Gross. Gross. The place is very small. Limited seating. Personally, I don't enjoy fish or seafood. But, my family does. I always just order the chicken fingers. This store has definitely gone downhill. I was just sitting in the drive-thru for fifteen minutes. The crew was also very rude! They had a great new manager for a while. We had dinner on Friday Jan 31 and I wouldn't go back. The food was just ok and the person who brought it to our table was not what I would have wanted to serve me my food. His attire was appealing!!! His pants were down where we could see his underwear, dirty hair and sweat shirt. When calling for the food they needed they yelled it out. When people left they didnt even wipe the tables off for other customers to sit. It is sad that this is how this chain of restaurant trains their employees!!!! read more

The place could use a makeover....but....otherwise fantastic! The food is great and whomever thought their fish had been "double-dipped" back into the oil to reheat it was making it up. They simply do not do that. I've eaten there regularly for years (I was the mailman on that route many years) and I still eat there. Even as a regular, I've been told I have to wait for my fish because they had to throw some out because it sat too long. I don't like to wait but if they will make me wait, I'm quite sure they'd make a non-regular wait as well. Furthermore the staff (as has been reported) is wonderful, friendly and take great care to satisfy the customers. If the negative reviews were honest (I don't know) but all they needed have done is SAY SOMETHING to the manager and I know without a doubt they'd have left satisfied if it were at all possible to satisfy them. In fact I've been there when a woman didn't like the fish and the manager replaced her meal with another. No argument, no fuss. At lunch time the place is standing room only every day...and you don't get that when the whole street is lined with fast food and sit down restaurants to choose from because people can eat anywhere they want. Of course, being an entry level job the staff does have a fair amount of turnover but Dave (manager) always seems to hire nice people. Some of the great employees there now are Jay, Shawnae, Matt and Giovanna. This is a fast food restaurant and one is not going to be treated like royalty but I tell ya, they come close. read more

Our last visit was awful. We ordered 2 two piece fish dinners and waited 15 min. The floor was so greasy that people were sliding around. No ketchup, tartar sauce, or ice tea. The Pepsi machine had no Pepsi and the garbage was overflowing. Fish was hot but way over cooked. I don't know what is going on there but we won't be going back. read more

I was really impressed with the workers and the manager ( I think he was the manager or possibly the owner) at this Long John's. They were all very friendly.. You don't really find such upbeat, hardworking people at fast food restaurants any more. I give the service five stars and the food four stars.. their fried clam strips and more platter is usually very good. read more
