Every time we try again after a long break due to a bad experience, we're reminded of why we said we'd not come back. Tried to go in last night as my husband wanted pie and decided to go there for the special they were running. We walk in a little after 6. Restaurant is pretty empty - less than 10 tables total being used. Four employees standing up front talking to each other. One finally comes over and we tell her 2, and a table please. She seats us at a booth. Not wanting to argue, we attempted it, but it was not comfortable. Not only that, but the table was extremely sticky - the menus were stuck fast and my hand was sticky after touching the table. I got up, tracked the server down, and reiterated we wanted a table, and the booth is very sticky. She took us around a corner where there were plenty of open tables, some of which were dirty, as in no one bothered clearing them of the dirty dishes, etc (yet they were all standing around talking). The server says she has to clean a table and asks us to wait. We ask why we just can't take a clean table, and I again remind her that the booth is sticky and needs to be cleaned as well. She says "Because I have to clean this one" and walks away. My husband sits down at the table right next to the dirty table. We asked her if we could just have that one when she returned. She says "No, you can't. Just wait while I clean this one". At that point, we left. I told her it was ridiculous that the restaurant was virtually empty, they didn't listen to our request for a seat, then won't re-seat us until they clear one of the dirty tables that no one has bothered to clear (and that no one was sitting at while we were there). On the way out, I told one of the people behind the counter that we were leaving because the server is not allowing us to sit at a table that's clean already, that she ignored our first request to sit at a table, and the booth was nasty sticky and she hadn't gone back to clean it, but was worried about the specific dirty table rather than sit us at a clean one. The woman apologized. The man rolled his eyes and said "Well then you have a fantastic evening". We got in the car and drove to Williamsport and ate there, since my husband still wanted pie. Much better service. No dirty tables sitting around while people talked. Super friendly server who we tipped well. Good food. Writing Lewisburg off the list. read more

I had been craving eggs benedict. I ordered them to be delivered. What I got was eggs up and yolks hard. If you know anything about eggs benedict, they ALWAYS have poached eggs on top. I called the restaurant and the manager argued with me. He actually told me that I was wrong and that he worked for perkins for 22 years, and that is how they have always served eggs benedict. I have actually been in this restaurant and had this dish prepared properly. I even called the danville perkins to see if their policy was the same. They make their eggs poached. I am appalled at the managers response and am stuck with a bill for food that I threw away. I will never go to this restaurant again and highly recommend that you steer clear. I gave it 2 stars because the hollandaise sauce and home fries were tasty. read more

Very good food, very good service. They have a ton of choices. The restaurant is very clean. The food comes out fast and hot. Of course they have their bakery so we took two blueberry muffins home with us which was very tasty and soft. I had the Hibachi grilled shrimp. It was very tasty and filling. It comes with rice, broccoli, shrimp and red peppers. Comes in a savory teriyaki sauce. I got a side of mozzarella sticks which were very fresh and had a nice cheese pull. The marinara sauce was different but good, I'm not sure if it's in house made or store bought. All in all a good experience. Will go again. read more

Wow, what a disappointment! We used to eat at Perkins after church for three decades. Then most of the Perkins locations we visited closed. The Everything Omlet was NOTHING like the picture in the menu. Ordered a cinnamon roll, it was terrible! The sugar in the frosting had crystallized and when warmed was crusty. Hashbrowns weren't cooked, raw in the middle. Guess, it doesn't matter about food quality when you have a monopoly on breakfast location. Coffee was very good! read more

I frequent the Danville location of Perkins when I leave work from working the night shift at the hospital and take breakfast home for my children I ordered breakfast to go this morning from this location and i find it hard to believe it was remotely just made due to the fact I can pick breakfast up a half hour from my house and it still be warm by the time I make it home and I live 5 minutes from this location and by the time I made it home it was ice cold and the service was sub par when I got there they didn't even have it ready when I only arrived a minute earlier than they told me it would be ready. read more

Mathew was super amazing! One of the best servers I have ever had. I am a server myself but never have I ever had a server so caring and wonderful! He deserves a raise! Perkins is a chain restaurant but with a better than average menu. No salt is added in the kitchen and I like it for that reason. But this is not the only reason. It serves breakfast all day long, even into the night. After 9 o'clock several items on the menu are half price. The menu has some surprises for a chain restaurant. I like the tilapia with shrimp dish because I can get the fish grilled. They also offer a grilled salmon dish. The steaks and pork chops are well prepared and taste good I am told. (I'm a pescatarian off and on.) This restaurant supports several charities. read more

I was a little scared about coming here after seeing the reviews but I am so glad we did. We showed up at 8pm Friday for a quick meal before checking into our hotel, the Hampton Inn, across the street. I was honestly just going to get a slice of pie but my husband wanted food. We ended up both getting the Mini Pot Pie Combos. Wow, what a deal! It was $9.99 and was a very reasonably sized potpie, side salad and slice of pie. A slice of pie alone runs $4+, so in essence you are paying $6 for a pot pie and salad, can't beat it. The salad had cheese, tomatoes and onion with choice of dressing. The pot pie, was served in a medium sized ramekin and full of chicken, more so than the veggies. We opted to take our slices of pie to go. We were seated and served immediately, our waitress Britney was extremely polite, our food came super fast and everything tasted fantastic. We also received a 10% military discount. read more

Lunchtime on a Sunday after church... so busy that when we walked in, we saw others walk in behind us, inquire as to the wait time, and walk back out. My stop was routine, just looking for a wildberry pie to take home knowing this was the probably last Perkins to stop in at on the 10 hour drive from Western NY to Central NC. The hostess gave us a sour look at first when she asked what she could do for us (BODY LANGUAGE SPEAKS VOLUMES) and then became all smiles when she realized we wanted something simple, something she could handle at that moment in time. There's a lot of pressure to get it right working in the heavy volume at a Perkins restaurant. I should know, I did that in a prior life in Rochester 20+ years ago for a number of years. People are people and customers/guests are demanding. It's hard to keep the happy cheery face on when the demanding, and sometimes unreasonable, guests are starting to wear on a person. It's a relief to get a simple request and it's a pleasure to turn the frown of a stressed out hostess upside down. read more

First time at a Perkins and it was great! We were seated quickly, waited on immediately and were impressed by the adherence to the social distancing guidelines. Stopped for late breakfast/early lunch. Food was mediocre, but OK. Wife and I were whacked $2.69 each for coffee. No price was shown on menu for coffee or tea. Slow service, brought us two carafes of coffee. Meal would have been about $25 but they padded bill with $5.38 plus tax for coffee. We'd have been happy with just water instead of that. Last week when I told the waitress about the hair in my food and showed it to her, she just gave me a dumb look like "And what's the problem? What do you expect me to do about it?" This place has been going downhill for a while now. I was there today with a friend. I ordered a burger and fries and he had the grilled talapia dinner. I asked for extra pickles with my dinner but shorty after ordering the waitress came back, called me bud, and said they had no pickles. The meals came and the talapia smelled very fishy but he said it tasted okay. My burger was pretty good but the fries were nasty. I'm sure they had been cooked earlier and then re- fried. When we went to pay the cashier asked how everything was, my friend responded with "it could have been much better". The cashier ignored his response and asked if we'd like anything from the bakery. My friend said to him "that's your cue to ask what was wrong with the food." He just said sorry, the manager was in the back if we wanted to wait for her. The Perkins in Lewisburg, Pa. has got to be ONE OF THE WORST AROUND! Everytime we have gone there they have been out of food items, like last time. I was told about the chicken steak special and it was even still up on the board, so after sitting there contemplating with my family while they made up there minds I decided that sounded great! So I ordered it and was told "oh we are all out of that." Then stop advertising it and having your server tell us it's available. This time my daughter wanted "Blue Raspberry" drink and they were all out. Yesterday was the worst experience ever. My husband and I ordered hamburgs and fries and what the waitress served us were greasy, soggy french fries. I asked her if she would eat them and she said "no". When the "manager" brought us 2 new plates of fries we were told "oh our cook must have double-dipped them". WHAT? How disgusting. In the old days we would have been offered that meal free or a future one. My family is NEVER going back to the Lewisburg Perkins, ever. read more

There was no one there and we said 6 people she sat us in a booth maybe meant for 4 people, after we waited 10 plus minutes for no reason?We got sat at a new seat like it was a huge inconvenience, the waitress was clueless! Only half the tables food came out and we waited another 10 minutes for the other 3 people to get their food. And it wasn't even our waitress who brought it out. The food was literally shoved at us a crossed the table. They placed a high chair right next to the tray stands and each time hit my sons high chair when they grabbed them. My moms pork chop was completely cold in the middle and pink but she didn't want to take up more time to take it back and have them do something to her food.The waitress maybe came back to our table once after we got our food. Then my grandfather asked for pie it took her literally over 15 minutes to bring the wrong pie. We waited another 10 to finally bring the right pie and we were watched intently and over heard them saying they needed to clean the table off. The facility got better that's the only reason it for one star the waitresses are clueless and are all horrible with no idea what they are doing . The manager just walks around and gives people mean looks no personality. Horrible service a waste of a good facility. read more
