Bought my boat from them (they are ok), but they referred me to Bay Side Mobile detailing to detail my deck boat. I was terribly disappointed in the job they did in detailing my boat after charging me $215. They didn't appear to even do the outside of the boat. I implore Long lake to not recommend them! Happy new year! I would start your year off right by not using Long Lake Marina for sales or service. I have had three bad experiences at this dealer in the past two years. This place is very unprofessional and lacks a lot of integrity. My first complaint was when I purchased a $10,000 plus boat motor for my pontoon boat. It took forever to have the new motor installed and upon receiving my boat back I found out that the gas tanks off the back and some other loose items had been stolen. Long Lake Marina did replace these items but they were very cheap and did not last that long. My second complaint is that I was looking to purchase a new pontoon boat ($50,000) the sales person would not have a service door installed on a shrink wrap boat so I could review the interior. After my second request they told me I needed to wait until spring so I went to a dealer at another location and purchased a boat which I could review inside and out. By the way I purchased the boat for $2500 less then what Long Lake Marina quoted me. My third bad experience was that I took two skidoo snowmobiles in to have the oil changed for the season. It took me over three months to get the machines in for service because they were too busy or did not have the time to service. I finally got them in around December 1 and I received a call they were were completed on the 27th. I didn't know a oil change took three weeks! At the time I dropped the machines off I was quoted $125-$145 for the oil change and to perform a yearly inspection and adjustments. I stressed to Long Lake because of my bad past experiences that they do not perform any other work unless I am notified and approve. Upon picking up the machine I found out that they charge me $165 for the oil change and yearly inspection and another $135 for replacing some parts that I did not approve. When I express my disappointment with the service department they said that this is the way they handle things at Long Lake Marina. Is this professional? The reason I use patronize Long Lake Marina in the past is because it is located near Green Lake and I tried to promote local businesses as much as possible. I would highly recommend that anybody in the area go elsewhere for sales and service. Long Lake Marina is dishonest, disrespectful and don't really care about customer service. Avoid the hassle and problem take your future sales and service to a honest and professional business. read more

Purchased a water pump from Marina just before Covid hit. Sold me the wrong pump. I went to exchange this year and did not have the professional courtesy of giving me even a partial credit for their original mistake. When the sales help ask the mngr. He responded "30 Days". To say the least they will not get my business in the future. They will be taken off my search list for new pontoon this summer. This is not the same company that I had dealt with in years past . Just out for the $$$. Beware in dealing with them there are other Boat shops in the area. I hope this $77. Part cost them much more I'm the future.I am giving them 2 stars for past years. Don't really know if this is a good business or not. My husband and I are looking for a pontoon boat to replace the one that was totaled in a wreck. We've been to Long Lake Marine three times, all three times walked around the showroom and outside for at least 20-30 minutes without one person offering to assist us! Now, we're in our early 60s so we don't look like a couple of kids who can't afford anything. If this is an example of the service we'd receive if we bought something and then needed help, I'd definitely think twice! read more

General manager Paul is son of founder and provides poor service Bought a hurricane in stock, Doug argued with me over the hoist to use, Paul damaged the pin stripe being careless loading on the trailer. Problem with determining if correct prop is used. Problem with the boat trailer. This should be a fun purchase but turned out to anything but!!! read more

There is a reason why the prices at long lake marina are so much lower than at other places. You may think you're getting a good deal but trust me IT'S NOT WORTH IT. The customer service there is awful, and their salesman Doug is rude and condescending! Of course he'll smile and say everything you want to hear until he closes the deal... then his true colors come out. I bought a new pontoon in august with the intention of having it delivered the following summer. When I called that June I was told that the boat is not yet ready (10 months later) so we scheduled a date and time to have it delivered and for Doug to give us an orientation the following week. However when we showed up at our scheduled appointment, we were told by Doug that we did not have an appointment and that the boat is still shrink wrapped and nowhere near ready. I reminded him that he is the one who scheduled this whole thing and he basically called me a liar. He said he wrote down 10:30 am (even though over the phone we agreed on 11) but that a date was never set. Now how exactly does one schedule a time but not a date? My family took work off to make the long drive to pick this boat up because we were told (by Doug) that it would be ready on this date at this time, just to then have him deny that said conversation ever took place. I get that mistakes get made and accidents happen but the worse part is that Doug not only refused to take any responsibility, he very quickly became defensive and delivered an extremely sarcastic apology. Now the boat will not be ready for another 10 days, and his response to that was "what do you want me to do about it?" Next time I will gladly spend a little more $ and make my purchase anywhere else. read more

I purchased my pontoon, hoist, and canopy from Long Lake Marina and could not be happier. I had an electrical issue with my pontoon and two broken welds on my hoist after a few years of use, and both issues were promptly addressed at no cost to me. Doug Clemens was my sales person and has been very responsive. I have been pleased with both sales and service. read more

My wife and I went to long lake marina ready to purchase a 19 foot boat, saw they had 2 Rinker boats on the internet and was interested in purchasing one. When we went into the building one guy at a desk just ignored us and the parts guy looked at us and then walked to the back. We waited a while and nobody could even say hello or we will be with you in a minute. So since they ignore customers we went down the road to Grand Bay Marina and purchased a new 19 foot stingray and they were very polite and the owner even came up to us and met us herself. When your shopping for a $30-$40,000 boat, store owners or workers could at least acknowlage there customers, because the customers are the ones that keep there doors open. I would not recommend Long Lake Marina and will never go back to that store. read more

I live in the area and I called and asked a simple question about something. The woman I spoke with was extremely rude to me. She got very snippy and I feel like she was talking to me like I was a little kid. They had cut some trees down to make room for boat storage, but they have yet to finish cleaning up what they have taken down. I had asked when they were planning to pick it up and finish the project that they have started. She came back at me and said that they were a commercial business and that they can do what they want and we will just have to put up with looking at blue boats. I also asked if they were going to put a fence around the property. Apparently they do not plan to, so if you own a boat and want to store it there, I wouldn't as they have no security plans to keep people off of your boat. There are a few homeless people that have lived in the woods that they tore down (what is to keep them from living in your boat if there is no fence?). I was told that it would be a few years before the project is done and that they have yet to purchase the property (how and why were they able to take down all of those trees?) read more

The guys at Long Lake Marina did a great job fixing my boat motor, I couldn't be more pleased. I've got a 2001 Johnson 115 hp outboard with the optical ignition system, and as I understand it, it's a kind of complicated system. It started misfiring at the end of last season, but I had some reason to think it could've been bad gas. I spoke with another marina in the area, and their reaction was "oh, the optical ignition system, well we can see what we can do...." It didn't inspire much confidence, but they are not an authorized dealer for the system, so that was understandable. Once I got the boat out again this year, the problem was kind of intermittent, and seemed to happen under varying circumstances. I did a lot of reading online, and most of what I found there was pointing to the optical sensor and/or the power pack. I was awfully tempted to change those myself, it looks doable, but you have to reset the timing after changing the optical sensor, so I decided to bite the bullet and take it in. Long Lake Marina told me they had 80 boats in line for maintenance and it would be about 10 to 14 days before they could get to mine. That estimate was right on the mark, and they got back to me quickly, on schedule. They said the carbs were leaking and needed to be fixed, but they also took the time to explain the risks, based on this particular motor. I spoke with Paul, and he was patient in answering my questions. In fact, I called him back a few times with additional questions, and he was just great to work with. They gave me an estimate in terms of both time and costs, and again both were right on the mark. No surprises, my boat is back in business, on target for timeline and costs, and I couldn't be happier. I will not hesitate to go back to Long Lake Marina if/when I need help in the future. read more
