I drove twenty miles out of my way to shop at this store simply because while researching and reading the reviews, I noticed that the owners responded to every single review. The responses were not just a generic response to the customer. Every response from the owners was a personalized response to each and every customer review. That is when I know that the business owner listens and pays attention to their customer's concerns. After doing my research for good quality whiskeys/bourbons, I was impressed with the varieties and selections available at this store. The store is very large and sells a wide variety of liquors, wines and beers both cold and room temperature. The store is well staffed, clean, well lit and comfortable. Prices are what you expect for a liquor store. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot. The aisles are very wide. The staff was friendly and I was in and out in no time. My friend has lived near Longmeadow Liquor for many years. I've shopped here at least a dozen times. You can find nearly any alcoholic beverage you desire. On my last trip I wanted a few Maryland Wine choices to take back to Florida. I was specifically looking for Linganore's peach, but it was out of stock. I found two other comprable wines that I'm excited to share with friends. I've also purchased several beer options over the years. Long Meadow Liquors - Huge Maryland wine selection - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Hagerstown, Maryland

I was looking for a fortified wine sold by 99% of wine and liquor stores and couldn't find it. I then asked for help. First problem: the first employee (a young woman) was told where to look by the owner and she obviously couldn't find it and completely disappeared, probably back in the stock room. Second problem: The next employee tried to help (he really did) but he had no idea where it might be in the store. Worst problem: the Owner!! He asked what kind of wine it was (and I told him) and said he had never heard of it, and I was so incredulous I didn't know what to say. I was about to leave when he became abusive, rude and obnoxious - obviously he had never heard of this wine (why don't these people have basic training on the subject?) and instead of apologizing, which would have been the right response and would have been just fine, was a total #$@hole. Hilly billy type - not that that matters - but gives you a sense of the caliber of people who own these businesses. I was afraid he was going to pull out his gun on me. And I'm not kidding. I will let everyone I know in Hagerstown to find another wine and liquor store. This one is the WORST. read more

My prefered liqor store. Huge selection of beer & wine. Mixers & such... One of the few places I've seen in town that offer the brand name & a cheaper version side by side. They always offer to help us carry suff to the car. Never an issue here! read more

I just purchased an item and I told the cashier that the price was incorrect. The price on the bottle said 9.99. The register said 10.99. He (cashier) said they just raised their prices. I replied, some people would fight for the price as marked. Cashier replied they can fight all they want ain't nothing I can do about it.... terrible customer service. I have never felt welcomed at this store. P.S. I see a pattern...the owner doesn't respond to negative reviews. read more

This is long overdue. After visiting the store yesterday, I have finally decided that the time of giving this place the benefit of the doubt is up. Although the selection is reasonable, the customer service is one of the worst I have ever seen. I have shopped in here many times, always thinking the workers were just in a bad mood. Well, yesterday took the cake. Except for the woman that works there, the men that I have interaction with are rude and not at all helpful. I will never step foot in this store again and I should have taken the advice of many friends who told me to steer clear because of the attitude floating around in that place. read more
