I've waited nearly a year to write this to make sure I wasn't over-reacting. I went to A Street…read moreDental for the first time for cleaning and xrays. It was last October(?) and my first dental appointment of the year. They asked for my insurance card and then started. The cleaning was fairly routine. But the xrays stunned me. After about eight, I asked if she wasn't almost done. She replied that they wanted to be thorough. The xrays went on and on, one after another after another. I lost count and questioned her again - asked if it wasn't dangerous to have so many xrays. She said there was absolutely no problem. In the end, she did 18-20 xrays. I checked when I got home and that was my insurance's coverage limit FOR THE YEAR . I'm a senior citizen. Maybe they thought I was senile. I'm not but I know I am sometimes gullible - I assume people are honest and well-meaning and that they are unlikely to do anything too greedy or dishonest, if only to protect their reputation and business future. Well, these people, after wiping out my x-ray insurance for the year, sat me down for a "consultation". At this point, I was just curious to see what was coming next. The next was a sales pitch for a WaterPik machine (and a few other products} mixed in with general, routine dental care advice. I figure that I got my money's worth in reality shock therapy. The world ain't what it used to be. Or maybe I've just been lucky in my choice of health-care personnel. Whatever. From now on, I'll protect my health-care insurance. Cautious cynicism is my new, reluctant, identity.

They were very professional all the staff are very kind they follow up how's everything the next…read moreday.

I had come down with a really bad toothache. When it flared up every few hours, it was a 10 on the…read morepain scale. I suffered over a weekend. I left a message Sunday on Dr Johnson's clinic's phone asking them if they could see me Monday (President's day). They called me at 8 am Monday morning to tell me they could schedule an Emergency visit just after lunch. I was elated. While I was sitting in the waiting room, I overheard they are booked out a month. I was so blessed to have been fit in for my awful painful jaw/tooth. I had to wait a bit more than the other clients, as I was being squeezed in. I understood fully. When we did get moving on the procedure, I was amazed at how orchestrated the team was. No fumbling, no confusion, no wasted time. The dentist was in charge; his assistants knew each step ahead of him. My tooth feels great. I do highly recommend this man and his office staff if you have any need for a Endodontist. Oh, my friend went elsewhere and is back getting another root canal because his dentist didn't know there was a 4th root. Dr. Johnson has a 3D X-ray that costs $100 more, but it showed exactly how many roots I had in my molar. It was well worth it.

If it wasn't for his office clerk I probably would've felt comfortable coming back in and having my procedure. I have braces, and other life expenses to tend to. So hearing that I wouldn't be able to have my procedure unless I paid 900$ in full that day wasn't ideal. I felt i was treated very callously for not being able to afford a 900$ payment. I was with her for around 20 ish minutes sorting things out and all of the interaction I had from her was short and very unpleasant. I had to make a follow up appointment, since it took a great deal of time (altogether). I had to cancel that appointment for emergency reasons so I called in a day before and left a message. She called me the following day said she didn't receive my message and billed me 75$. I might even still have the caller ID proving I called in my phone history. I didn't feel the welcoming vibe that should be present when going into a scary situation like I was, and also being in tons of pain. She made me so uncomfortable to the conclusion of me still locating a Endodontist. I probably shouldn't have based my procedure from the waiting room assistant because Dr. Johnson was very nice and helped a lot, but I was already very intimidated by my procedure and it's expenses. The Doctors reassured me while she was not very interested in being positive towards me. I really her C.S. improves.
