This is my spot on the right and is really close to another one

If you are looking for privacy this place is not for you , you don't have privacy at all , Everyone is close together, you pay high price for a small spot, Looks like that nobody here is worried about Covid 19 , In the spot next to me I saw 3 cars and a trailer, don't have nothing between spots and looks like that They divides a spot in two , completely horrible, Never again

Love it! Perfect place to spend the day! Clean and the beach is really nice! No dogs allowed on the beach, that sucks but not worth losing a star

$15 parking and $75 per camp site. At night sometimes you have other campers who make so much noise that it disturbs other campers after midnight, rangers don't do anything about it. The campsites are slanted over and water fountains are almost always broken. Last year my car even got hit in the parking. A truck towing a trailer hit my car and ran away. Not easy to find parking on a busy day, life going jetski. There is no reception with most phone providers here and no pay phone that I could see. At&t works but is touchy. Verizon said they are going to put out an antenna in the area, but don't know when.

    Love this campground!

This campground is the best! I have loved going here as a child, teenager and as an adult, with my own children. There are trails galore. Boating, swimming, beaches. Bathrooms with showers. And they do work. Friendly staff all around. Good vibes overall. And great fishing!

We had a great time, camping here. We needed to switch sites, because we were having problems, the staff switched our site and helped us back into it. They drove through the park frequently emptying the garage. Our friend needed an adapter they loaned him one. We loved it and will go back.

If you are ok with that, then this would be fine for you. The bathroom was nice, but noticed the 2 days we were there it wasn't cleaned, and garbages outside of bathrooms weren't dumped. Also, bring MOSQUITO spray!! Omgoodness, I knew because it was by water there would be some, but they were so bad, we had to go Inside our trailer before dark. No marshmallow roasting, or campfire at night. staff was nice, however they were doing construction the whole time we were there. They came to apologize and stated they were done if we wanted to stay another night. However, that was a lie. We were woke up the next morning again to loud machinery and lots of workers So it was less noisy at home in the city. All in all, the surroundings are beautiful, lake is amazing, but, we won't be back. Too many mosquitos, not private enough, and super noisy for not having anyone there but us and 2 other campers, that were far away from us.

This campground allows day passes to use their beach front to access the water, we did that back in July. We only saw the part of the campground that led us to the water, it looked really pretty. We enjoyed the water area. My partner and I decided we should come back sometime to camp, so we decided we would in September. I called a handful of times to ask various questions and get information, I spoke to a lady named Ky and two gentlemen named Todd and Robert (I believe). Todd and Robert were absolutely fantastic. They had amazing customer service, were friendly, just overall went above and beyond during my interactions with them. Ky on the other hand... she was rude, disrespectful, no customer service skills and subtly talked down on her colleagues. I was planning for a group of 7 to go camping, so there were a lot of heads to manage and plan for. I asked for some recommendations for campsites and she had given me 2 (one was for $400 for the weekend and one was in the meadow area for cheaper), but she explained the meadow area after I asked her many times and I just didn't think the site she recommended was going to work so I nicely asked for another recommendation and she told me she wasn't going to give me another one "if I was just gonna keep not liking them". I kept explaining to her I couldn't hear her, because she had me on speaker and she was further away from the phone... I asked her to repeat a few things and then asked if she wouldn't mind putting me to her ear because I genuinely couldn't hear her and she told me no that she will be keeping me on speaker because if she puts me to her ear she can only type with one hand and that's "unefficient". As a customer I would rather take a few extra minutes being "unefficient" because you need to type with one and and being able to ACTUALLY hear as appose to having to keep asking her to repeat herself or asking what. There was some miscommunication on which sites will be closed during their "off season" or non busy season (which is when I was planning to book) and another staff recommended a site that was unfortunately actually going to be closed so I asked about it and she told me she knows the most there, she's the one with all the information so the other person was wrong. Again, I have nothing bad to say regarding the campground itself. There was more, but for the sake of the long review, I will end it here. But if you are reading this, Orchard Springs, please be sure to properly train employees on customer service...this will ensure you have more customers. Again, Todd and Robert were fantastic!

Four entry locations situated around this large lake. Friendly, helpful staff. Awesome views and several boat launches at the various points of entry. Very nice individual and group campgrounds. There is also a free to park spot, but we locals generally don't give out that location as it quickly gets crowded.

The whole fam-bam was out there by 7 a.m., lines in the water as soon as we could get them in. About 30 minutes in, our middle child--who ALWAYS seems to be the first to catch something--reeled in the first fish. Not long after, our youngest caught one too, literally right after releasing the first! Then I got in on the action, followed by my husband. Our oldest was getting tons of bites but just couldn't land one. With only about 30 minutes left before we had to pack up for the parade, my husband gave him a tip and sent him to his go-to spot. Boom--fish on the line right away! He let that one go, cast again, and caught another within minutes. It was a perfect ending to our morning. Rollins Lake is such a fun spot to fish as a family. Bring chairs, sunscreen, hats, and don't forget snacks and drinks. The port-o-potties weren't bad at all, and there was plenty of parking too. We had a blast and will absolutely be coming back soon!

The camp was right next to Rollins Lake. A fairly decent oasis amidst the trees in Nevada county. Water was cold which was heaven sent since the outside temperature was averaging around 90. The sand bar was a great hangout place. We took an aluminum boat out to the "bar" which was the only mistake. Can you say "ouch." Aluminum and heat don't mix y'all. Hadnt been here in, oh, I would say 20ish years. So I didn't recognize anything which means I came in with a fresh, open mind. First off the drive up to the lake is really nice. My wife even commented how she loved the trees and the view of the lake was gorgeous. The price was pretty decent, boat and truck was $13 for the day. We put the boat in at Long Ravine Campground which was called Cecil's Cove I believe. The young men at the gate were SUPER friendly, big thumbs up for that. The ramp is a little small and the two parking lots are set up kind of funny turning up a hill, but manageable. While cruising in the 5 mph zone you drive by the marina, the Store/Grill, swimming area, a cool slide that sits in the cove which you can slide off of it into the water, gas station(afraid to know how expensive it was) and boat rentals. I admit I liked the view of it all. The lake is a little on the small side but it also has huge fingers that weave deep into the mountains which are fun to drive into. Many of us commented on how clean the water was and the views were gorgeous. And get this, the water level was seriously 10 feet from maximum capacity. It looked like early summer. I really couldn't believe how full the lake was. We beached up all day and all of us had fun, including the dogs. You have a new fan Rollins Lake. A new fan indeed and I will see you soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmCcq4yhrMY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Siwto_JvBkY
